Crew was pleasant! Departed 50 mins late
I wasn't able to log into the onboard wifi entertainment, but I fell asleep on the flight anyway.
Prós: "Crew was good. Seat was uncomfortable"
Contras: "Cushen worn out flat"
Prós: "Food, and comfort"
Contras: "Boarding process was a zoo..."

Prós: "Newer, clean interior. Seats had power plugs and the SATA Onboard entertainment app provided free movies, tv and music."
Contras: "One of the male flight attendants was happy and engaging while the other was not friendly; and two of the female flight attendants were ok, while the younger two were unquestionably unfriendly."
Contras: "Took off late missed my connecting flight and they lost my luggage and claim process is taking for ever"
Prós: "Very nice crew. Appreciate the meal and service good flight"
Contras: "Made us ship our carry on bags which we didn’t appreciate ! Even boarding early ! Did not being packed in busses then made to wait both at terminal and plane for long periods !"
Prós: "The flight was changed from 9:20pm to 4am. Then they bumped me to the next day because they oversold the flight. So I missed 1 1/2 days of my retreat."

Contras: "There were no screens and the app didn’t work to watch movies on my iPhone. Also they waited too long to give out drinks"
Contras: "The crew never announced that the flight was delayed by one hour. Boarding was disorganized even with the plane being half full. The crew is Ok and not taking control of situation."
Contras: "They cancelled the flight and made us try stand in line for an hour to get bussed to the hotel- another hour wait. No luggage because it was in a bin so no clothes or anything. Left at 6 am next morning . Got to Sao Miguel and missed my flight that was to leave the day before. Made me wait on stand by before putting me up in a grand hotel with no luggage. It was Still in Boston. I had to buy things to wear and use. So late no dinner at hotel . Terrible"

Contras: "Flight was 2 hrs late then when boarding they loaded all of us in a bus. We’re packed in and then stood on he bus for over a half hr waiting for the cleaning crew to finish. Why we didn’t just stay at our gate till it was ready? Idk but everyone seem to not know what they were doing and very unorganized"
Contras: "There were 2 other couples in the situation described above. We waited in line and got to the agent first, but upon realizing he had more than one couple in our situation, he agreed to help us all as a group. He gave us our tickets for the new flights one by one. When we got onto the aircraft we realized that we were in the far rear of the plane and the two couples (4 tickets) BEHIND us in the original line were given tickets in the business class portion of the plane, all the way in front. We were seated between two screaming babies and their parents, cramped in an aisle and middle seat. When I originally booked the reservation, I had paid extra money for the seats we preferred. Our new flight gave us the worst seats on the plane while giving the couples behind us in line the best."
Prós: "Flight from Sao Miguel was on time and arrival at Boston was also on time. The crew was friendly and professional. It would have been nice if the WiFi at the airport was faster so we could have loaded the WiFi app for on board entertainment, but somethings can’t always be accomplished."
Prós: "Couldn’t drink it since I am pregnant, but free wine with dinner."
Contras: "Plane was hot. Was in the back and had to sit for a while before air was turned on. No entertainment. Bad weather made our flight 2 hours longer. Couldn’t sleep on overnight flight as ailes were busy for the rest room."

Contras: "Flight was delayed, but they never made an announcement so we were overcrowded in airport waiting area, many people standing up, not enough seats, and we were kept in the dark Felt like we were being held hostage. Instead of boarding by rows, they let everyone go through all at once which caused the aisle in plane to be blocked. No organization as far as boarding."
Contras: "We missed the plane from Boston to Denver but it turn out good. We were tired anyway."

Contras: "5 hrs delay and missed all connecting flights. Airline initially rescheduled flight 2 days later. Called Kayak and got no support. Kayak agent told us to keep pushing the airline. After 2 hrs of "working" with the airline, we were able to fly into Madrid the following day. Had to spend extra money for hotel room and car rental in Madrid because our final destination was Sevilla. Will never work with Azores or Kayak again. BTW, did we mention that while "working" with Azores to reschedule flight, we were booked to fly into an island off of Africa. Luckily, we followed up online with the changed itinerary."

Prós: "Did not like anything about this airline!"
Contras: "The flight took off 2 hours late. There wasn't enough food for all the passengers on the flight. The flight attendants looked miserable, but were trying their best given the circumstances. The airplane was outdated, the seats not comfortable, and no in flight entertainment. SATA/Air Azores has a monopoly on the flights in and out of the Azores to the USA and no other airlines are allowed to flight that route. They should be ashamed of themselves by the way they run this airline and treat the passengers."
Contras: "The flight was delayed as usual. First class was very mediocre. There was no inflight movie, tv or music. First class doesn't feel like a first class flight."
Prós: "Horrible airline, worst service ever."
Contras: "Horrible! Would give zero stars if I could."

Contras: "There is no in- flight entertainment."
Prós: "Delayed 4 hrs; boarding agent couldn't give any details (meanwhile me kids are screaming); seats were narrow and I couldn't lift the armrest up out of the way. Food was terrible. No entertainment visible from our seats and the headphones didn't work. Flight from BOS was much of the same. NEVER FLYING SATA AGAIN!"
Prós: "Crew was nice enough"
Contras: "Flight was delayed over 3 hours causing me to miss my connecting flight upon arrival in Lisbon. No in flight entertainment, only one meal served, no spot to plug in electronics, and the bathroom door was broken and didn't lock. I would suggest paying a little more for a better and more reliable airline."
Prós: "Professionalism presented in a relaxed way!"
Contras: "It was seven hours delay. What do you think about that?"
Contras: "The flight was delayed due to "technical issues" two hours. This seems to be a consistent thing with SATA and Azores Airlines. The crew was rude when my bag did not fit in the cabin and they had to move it, too."
Contras: "Service. Food. And the return was worse - they cancelled two consecutive flights with no notice, causing us to stay three extra days, incur connection fees, other costs, and they could care less. Wound up flying to Lisbon on Ryanair. SATA says no refund. Worst airline in the world. We would never go back to Azores, thanks to them."
Prós: "Flight cancelled, were told we'd be called the next morning to reschedule but weren't, an hour on holdeach time we called, rescheduled a flight with extra stops 2 days later, was actually booked on a different flight, and were told we were actually only on standby when we arrived at the airport."
Contras: "Way too warm, uncomfortable seats, no entertainment"

Prós: "I got there alive"
Contras: "Trying to be impartial on this review as it was my return trip that was a nightmare. I honestly just slept through the entire flight. It seems pretty obvious that SATA Has a monopoly on US flights to the Azores and they are making no effort to improve service."
Prós: "Nothing"
Contras: "They lost my luggage."
Prós: "The crew was very friendly and boarding was pretty fast"
Contras: "No tvs for movies. To much drink were offered and a guy next to be got drunk and then was acting inappropriate"
Prós: "The flight crew was absolutely wonderful and very helpful with our 3-year-old son. He keeps asking to go on plane again because of how attentive they were and made his trip very enjoyable."
Contras: "No entertainment at all. The seats could have more recline as it was an overnight flight and nearly impossible to sleep. The trays for business class are so close that it is awkward and uncomfortable to use."
Prós: "The crew is very friendly and helpful."
Contras: "They crammed way too many seats into the planes; it's really awful if it's a full flight, and if you're claustrophobic or prefer space around you, forget it! When the guy in front of me reclined his seat, his head was practically in my lap. Some tray tables were broken. The planes seem old. But it's the only airline that flies to the Azores from the U.S., I believe, so this is the only option. They also very slow, and we left late to and from the Azores."
Contras: "The delay of over 12 hours was terrible. I'm sure most people will complain as everyone was furious. The staff didn't provide any guidance towards what the problem was or how long we could be waiting. Their communications were guesses at best."
Prós: "serves wine for free."
