Contras: "Food! Communication between airports. They were not prepared in Belem for late travelers from Fortaleza who needed to catch the flight at the last minute to Fort Lauderdale. I.e. security had already left and they had to call them back."

Prós: "The airport is small and easy to get by. The crew was friendly, and I had four seats to myself! It was an excellent experience."

Contras: "Flight left over an hour late, we were told we would leave just a half hour late then the time just passed without further announcements of delays. Cramped A320 aircraft. Just water and soft drinks for a 3.5 hour flight."

Prós: "Bus service from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 was clearly marked and frequent. The flight crew members were all helpful and friendly and I enjoyed the drink (especially suco de maracuja) and snack offerings. As I spoke only limited Portuguese, I greatly appreciated the attempts made by the ground staff and flight crew to communicate with me, both in English and via hand gestures. I am certain that no domestic airline would be so helpful to non-English speakers in the USA!"
Contras: "I realize Azul cannot help being stuck in Terminal 2, but it's not the most comfortable place to wait for a flight. Also, after I walked through the gate, several boarding flights merged confusingly in a single passageway with exits to multiple planes and many people got lost and ended up (temporarily!) on the wrong airplane, despite heroic attempts by the ground crew to direct passenger traffic. There must be a better method than having everyone follow colored lines to the planes - it wasn't working!"

In the meantime the flight is 40% empty and plenty of over head and yes is the same size of plane I came in the first place. However the agent was nice after I explain my situation she not charges me."

Contras: "It was not noted that I had a gluten allergy even though I had requested special meals online. I had to ask the flight attendants during the first meal to bring me that option. After that, all was great! My personal entertainment screen was not working properly for about an hour in to my flight."

I saw air hostess laughing among themselves and being little short with passengers who couldn’t communicate. The boarding process was very chaotic with no groups."

After waiting in line for 2 hours, the ticket agent handed me a card and said I had to call the 800 number. The person on the phone said I had to talk to ticket agent to go standby on a flight to Munich and the ticket agent told me I had to call. I was caught in a loop and no one helped. Then when it became apparent I wasn't getting out that night I was informed that there were no hotel vouchers and I would have to find my own hotel! After searching for an hour for a hotel (all were sold out in Boston) I called a friend who lives outside of Boston. No one gave me a taxi voucher because it was not to a hotel. LUFTHANSA customer service is the WORST!!!!!!!!"

Contras: "The delay on embarking into the plane. Stayed on the bus, in from of the plane for about 15 minutes and I thought I was in an sauna. and on the departure was delay for about 15 minutes . The crew was OK but nothing out of the ordinary."

Prós: "I flew in the A380 bulkhead at row 50 from Munich to Hong Kong. Have flown premium economy with Lufthansa before, it was no different from before. The service is efficient. Entertainment was fine and had an interesting selection in their world cinema section."
Contras: "A pretty standard experience and nothing which makes you feel special. Other airlines might offer an upgraded meal in premium economy or a special cocktail, but not on Lufthansa."

Prós: "Good crew, very polite. Good ambient temperature on the plane. Food was good."

Contras: "Was told that an upgrade to premium economy entitled us to lounge privileges. Were told by attendants that we had to pay an extra $35. each. We had $6.30 subs from potbelly."

Prós: "Probably one of the best economy experiences I have had in a long time. The staff was very friendly and professional. Also one of the first times that i was actually comfortable in an econo seat. Hats off to Lufthansa!"

Prós: "In this day of continuous service cutbacks Lufthansa has managed to keep amenities that make long flights bearable. The boarding was early and efficient. Meals were decent and plentiful. Hot hand wipes were provided. Hundreds of video entertainment options and fairly friendly English speaking flight attendants. I recommend paying the small upcharge to choose seats with extra legroom. totally worth it on the long haul"

Contras: "Delayed Flights Caused a day layover in Germany. The airline was not able to help in a medical emergency which caused me to have to pay to rebook a flight. Special Meals were only some time of the flights and was served Pork as an only option, my family and I didn't eat anything on a 10-hour flight due to this issue."

Contras: "Boarding and take off was very delayed for a flurry ,this delayed my connection and made my total trip awful.i was traveling with a kid but still given last seat .Food was okay and crew was helpful. After having travelled to US lot of time I felt this trip was very tiring and frustrating."

Contras: "Space and comfort. Lufthansa is joining too many airlines in figuring out the exact minimal space a human needs to be able to be seems hurtling through the air. This leads to cramped, tight spaces with little to no freedom to shift your body. Because of this limited space, seats can only recline so far and leave one uncomfortable, though that angle is enough to create even less space for the person behind you or for you, when faced with a reclining front neighbor. So, minimal benefit of minimal recline and maximum discomfort caused for that minimal gain."

Prós: "I LOVED the Crew. Exceptional! Polite, accommodating, kind, friendly. Just wonderful. The food was pretty good too! The entertainment was great. I loved that the toilets were in a separate area downstairs! The flight was overall pretty comfortable. The cabin temperature was also great, not the freezing temperature found on American planes. Thank you LUFTHANSA!!!"
Contras: "The flight was late boarding and late arriving in Munich. I had a connecting flight to make and that was a harrowing experience. I had no precedence offers the other passengers in deplaning. I was given no help in making my connecting flight. I had to queue up for border control. I had to go up and down numerous escalators. I was stopped by a policeman asking for papers which I had already given to border control. I had to take a train and change terminals. My connecting flight was departing from the farthest gate possible in the terminal. I was running the entire time, and I barely made it. Had I not been running, I would have missed my connection."

Contras: "when we first boarded and went to use the restroom before the flight departed, the floor was sticky and smelled strongly of urine. had they even cleaned it on the turnaround? doubtul. several other toilets also smelled like urine early in the flght. the touch-screen on the entertainment interface is not very user friendly and was kind of frustrating."

Contras: "This return flight was much better than the flight going to Amsterdam. I believe the biggest factor was the type of aircraft. The old 747 just didn't meet expectations. The newer 777 on the way back was much more comfortable, with better amenities."

Contras: "Entertainment was dated and poor in function. Our bags were 99 dollars each and we’re both lost and didn’t arrive. I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

Contras: "Exceptionally unhelpful customer service when asking about extra kilos/bags. Just quoted the online info back at us. We simply wanted to know how much would be charged if the bag was 1-2kgs overweight. We could not get a straight answer, just quoted the unclear company policy. Extremely frustrating and annoying. KLM offer a superior flight experience - it is a shame their terrestrial customer servic does not match it!"

Contras: "The plane wasn't refueled and so was not ready for take off once the passengers were loaded. The plane had a technical problem when it tried the first take off and so it had to be abandoned. This was alarming.."

Contras: "Per usual, KLM can't seem to figure out the order of boarding the plane. Should be business - priority - everyone else. Instead they do priority first, and that's usually two-thirds of the passengers. Strange choice of in-flight movies; no accounting for taste, I guess."

Prós: "Of the multiple international airlines I recently flew with, I would have to say KLM was by far the best. Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Contras: "Pet was left behind at vacation destination as pet's reservation (made and confirmed through KLM) was not found at check in. Waiting for Customer Care to help get pet home and take responsibility for situation and getting no response. Very dissapointed, considering law suit."

Had to attempt to cram in sideways - resulting in serious pain by the time the flight finally landed. Intercom system, especially from the captain, was painfully grating and loud. Boarding was extremely slow, in part because gate personnel made no effort whatsoever to police and enforce the four-group boarding process (premium - no carry-on - group A - group B). People boarded whenever they felt like it, many carrying on huge backpacks and multiple other pieces. Will definitely avoid TAP in future."

Contras: "They have the most uncomfortable seats in the industry. Seat was literally 5 cm (2 inches) thick and did not recline. Impossible to relax/sleep, I ended up with back pain and legs cramped for 2 full days. Terrible overnight flight. Luggage policy is not clear. Carry on items have to weight less than 8 kg (normally is 12 kg), and to check your bag you have to pay. No personal tv/entertainment."
