Boa localizacao, com facil acesso a estacoes de metro e restaurantes com vista (near subway stations and near restaurants and izakayas at the Shinjuku skiscrapers) A descricao no site que promove "vista para a cidade" eh erronea, pois no andar 11 via outro predio, o que foi um ponto baixo da estadia (the description that the room offers city view is uncorrect, as from my 11th floor view I could only see a building, which was sad )
The view from the bar/restaurant on the top floor was outstanding! I thought the hotel was closer to Haneda Airport than it turned out to be.
Shuttle service to Disney land. Room spacious and very good cleanliness. We booked four rooms (2 families) 4-5 months prior our arrival. The room arrangement given to us 2 rooms next to each other and the other 2 in different floor level. They aware each family going to occupy 2 rooms during our booking and yet they can't arrange the other 2 rooms next to each other or at least the same floor. Eventually the other family has to take the smoking rooms in order to stay next to each other. No smiling face from the male front desk staff.
Great rooms, with nice views. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Train station at the front door to the hotel. Big shopping centres next door. Far from the main areas of Tokyo (Shinjuku, Shibuya etc) roughley a 30 min train ride. There is a train station at the front door to the hotel which is very conveniant but this is not a JR station so if you have the JR pass you can not use it here.
spacious...... the housekeeping did not clean up the room well..... the many thing just like candy wrapper were still in the carpet.....
The bayside view was the hoghlight of the room I cannot list a thing that I didn't like
Swimming pool was great. Nothing very much.
High quality of service, wonderful bay view, rich variety of dining, excellent room service, staff professionalism
The attention to detail made the stay so much better.
Housekeeping was good Kept clean Staff were mostly helpful Quiet Near Shimbashi and Shiodome Stations Amenities were good Airport Limousine to Narita At check-in we were told we needed to pay for a separate room as my mother and my sister together with me are considered too old to fit in one room with two double beds. They said a larger room would be available that could accommodate the three of us together the next day but we would have to pay an additional 330 USD per night of stay! Our flight landed 11 pm at Haneda by the time we got to the hotel it was already almost 12:30 am, we were exhausted! Renting an additional room also costed the same amount $330. That's the option we went with for at least a day. We then booked a second room online for the subsequent 5 days for only half the price they asked us for upfront. It made little sense from a business perspective if they had let us upgrade to a one bedroom that would release them of two smaller rooms that they can charge more for. Internet is slow especially at night, can barely read the news. Air conditioning was weak in one of our rooms, I was sweating a lot.
Convenient location, quiet and modern room. Free in-room lan connection. Very friendly, helpful staff. Iron only available in laundry room (so you have to bring your clothes there - no place to hang them while you iron several shirts...). I find that the room is expensive compared to the Park Hotel next door (which is more modern and larger rooms...).
Staff was very helpful. Easy access to a lot of places walking, taxi, or train (close to shinbashi and Shiodome station). Breakfast was 25 dollars per person and did not include much. No good breakfast around. Very surprised that English proficiency of staff was not that good.
We found the staff extemely helpful especially the guest relations desk went out of their way to be of assistance. The rooms where very comfortable. I was going to move to a cheaper hotel, but the manager organised me a fabulous rate for the extra days, so I didn't move. No
The JR Suite was amazing. Love the high floors and view of Tokyo Tower. Customer Service at the front desk was excellent. After we paid for the upgraded suite we were a lot happier. Initial room was very small and they put us on the floor with the business and fitness area so people were in and out on that floor. Room was very very small where our 2 luggage would not fit. My GF kept on bumping her elbows into the shower door and the sink as there was no space in between for her to do her hair and make up. We had to upgrade to the JR. Suite at a very high price. The JR. Suite was an excellent room. We didn't need the living room area but it was a nice adder. What we were expecting was a bedroom similar to the JR suite bedroom but never got it on the regular booking. Concierge needs to look into what he's doing more. We asked about the Robot Restaurant and see about making reservations for that Saturday Night. He booked the reservations but didn't realize that payment up front is required. When we go to the place we were turned away as it was full and everyone had paid in full prior to arrival. When I tried to explain to him I don't think he spoke English well enough to understand. I was not mad at him as we understand we are in another country with a language barrier.
Excelente spa. As camas são muito duras.
Access to everything No laundry facilities nearby
For value and room size, this hotel is the best in Tokyo of the five hotels that I've stayed in during any of my trips to Japan (2). It is right off of two subway (Suidobashi, Korakuen stns) and JR east stations and relatively close access to a third (Kasuga Stn). Note that at least Suidobashi and Korakuen Stn have elevators for those traveling with luggage. Tokyo Dome City / Meet Port provide many dining and shopping options. There is also a so-so amusement park suitable for children. I will continue to book stays at this hotel whenever I am in Tokyo. Central location in Bunkyo is away from the JR circle loop and requires some travel upon arrival at Tokyo Stn via Narita Expresses. I wasn't aware of the ease of connection from Tokyo station nor of the presence of elevators at Suidobashi stn when I first arrived, so arriving with luggage was a bit of a chore. When the Tokyo Giants are playing at home, this hotel fills up fast. Extra charge for early check-in (before 1600/400pm)
not only was the imperial hotel a quietly luxurious place to stay with wonderful service, staying there felt like being part of history. i believe that the original hotel was designed by frank lloyd wright and though the original is no longer standing, pieces from the destroyed hotel have been incorporated into the current lobby. it seems that an effort has been made to retain the frank lloyd wright feeling in the remake of the building. overall, a very nice experience.
Great Hotel and great localization. The room was perfect.
This hotel was AWESOME! The service we received can't be spoken about enough. Everyone went out of their way to make sure our stay in Tokyo was problem free. The location is in a prime spot and our room had a great view. Highly recommended!
Positioned near the business district, but the general area - including the Imperial Palace - are very nice. Well equipped and very modern rooms. The bathroom was enormous with entertaining shower equipment! Public areas are huge and drab in places. But we would certainly return to the Imperial.
I have stayed at hotels all over the world butt he Imperial was fantastic. I have never seen such a polite and professional staff. Everything from the moment I got out of the taxi to the moment I boarded the Narita bus was handled with the utmost proficiency and friendliness. Although there are hotels that are more modern and flashier, nothing beats the Imperial. Great location as well.
The hotel property itself is nothing short of beautiful. The rooms have great views of the city and the expansive garden which is a oasis in the middle of the sprawling Tokyo metropolis. The staff is always prompt and friendly and ready to accommodate anything you may need.
It's a uniquely beautiful hotel. There is no other with such beautiful, serene and peaceful grounds. The staff are exceptionally gracious and hospitable. It is wonderful to come back here after a busy day in very busy Tokyo. It is a short walk to a very good, family owned sushi restaurant near Edogawabashi station. The restaurants, while good, are very expensive. And there are not many options that are close. On the other hand, taxi service is convenient.
The hotel is beautifully appointed, with large rooms featuring marble bathrooms, mechanic curtains, exceptional service, and a stunning view of the gardens and pagoda. It seems that it is a wedding destination, with a storybook setting. For Tokyo, the price was a good value for the size of room and luxurious setting, the reason is the location isn't as central and train access isn't as readily available as many other luxury hotels. I was there for business travel, but this would be a suitable location for a romantic trip. It didn't bother me to walk up the hill from the subway station. But, the ten minute walk from the subway is the only negative I can identify with this hotel.
The views from our room were good, it was nice and clean. I thought for a hotel of this standard the staff would be able to understand English a bit more, not very well situated for shopping more of a business hotel. No english Tea,
Great location very close to main shopping area in Ginza. Room on the small side.
Staff were extremely helpful and courteous. None.
The design is lovely and the location can't be beat. The hotel is high up and it is great to look down on Tokyo. The pillows were uncomfortable which took away a little bit of ease of sleep.
The view from the room was beautiful, I loved the bathroom window which could be made seeing through, so you could enjoy the view from the shower. No complaint, very satisfied.
The location not far from Ginza and the metro station Shimbashi/Ginza is useful. There isn't a gym. And the Internet isn't a wifi but cable. I carry an iPhone which is useless without a wifi. Breakfast selection should be changed daily.
My November stay in Tokyo was switched from Okura Hotel to Sheraton Miyako Hotel, because Okura was demolished in May this year for a new hotel building to be reopened in 2018. So all the evaluations given here are for Miyako Hotel. The hotel is excellent, very roomy and update. It offers all what a ordinary traveler needs and beyond. Its location is great right in the middle of several subway stations, only Meguro station and takaniwa station are within walking distance. But, scheduled hotel buses taking hotel guests to Meguro and Shinagawa station is an excellent way to help hotel guests move around. Do your homework and find out what time the airport limousine bus can take you from airports to Miyako Hotel before you buy airline tickets. Because the bus schedule is very odd. I came to Miyako from Tokyo Haneda Airport, the airport limousine bus only runs twice in the morning and once in the late evening (Good for red eyed flight guests). If you come to the hotel any time between those schedules, you need to find out what is the nearest hotel or subway stations to Miyako the airport bus can take you to, then take taxi from there to Miyako.
I very much liked the authentic 50's modern hotel and interiors…in a great location in Tokyo near the American Embassy.
Classic or dated, whatever your preference, but well maintained and spotless. Large rooms, for Japan. Staff is marvelous. Very close to the US Embassy and train stations. All staff speak English sufficient to get the job done. Booking through Kayak got a reasonable rate for Tokyo. Couldn't control the heat in the room, which was 79F. WiFi connects but can be erratic on mobile devices. Food in the hotel is outrageously expensive, but a 2 minute walk gets you to reasonable options. Gym is excellent but there is a substantial extra charge to use it.
The club level was an additional $100 USD approximately. I thought $75 would be more appropriate for what you got. Very nice experience.
The staff - extremely polite and helpful. Calls made to the front desk were answered promptly and items delivered within minutes. It entire experience was a total delight.
This hotel is about 20-30 minutes by walking/subway from major areas like Shinjuku, Asakusa, and Ueno Park - just need to be aware when planning your stay as it can make for long days.
The location and room size - very nice experiece and outstanding value for the rate provided by Priceline! The view bar was non-smoking, which is not common in Japan. Many patrons greatly prefer this, but I prefer at least one bar where I can enjoy a cigar.
shuttle to closest train station. Great views of river. no
It was located right on the bay and we had a room with a view of the bay. It is on the outskirts of town, so not a lot going on near by.
view, attention to detail, and service.
Service - before, during, and after stay. Amenities. Location. View. Breakfast buffet was a bit over priced, but, food was good. Miso was overcooked. Could have used more 'free' fridge space. Should consider being a Disney 'Good Neighbor' hotel. Many hotel patrons had to use the train system and were caught in crowds.
Staff is really accommodating. Shuttle bus could be more often.
The room was large and had a good view of the bay. The hotel was not close to restaurants or shopping. Which was a problem because the hotel restaurants were quite expensive. The 'double' beds were too narrow for two people to share.
