The view from the bar/restaurant on the top floor was outstanding! I thought the hotel was closer to Haneda Airport than it turned out to be.
Shuttle service to Disney land. Room spacious and very good cleanliness. We booked four rooms (2 families) 4-5 months prior our arrival. The room arrangement given to us 2 rooms next to each other and the other 2 in different floor level. They aware each family going to occupy 2 rooms during our booking and yet they can't arrange the other 2 rooms next to each other or at least the same floor. Eventually the other family has to take the smoking rooms in order to stay next to each other. No smiling face from the male front desk staff.
spacious...... the housekeeping did not clean up the room well..... the many thing just like candy wrapper were still in the carpet.....
Great rooms, with nice views. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Train station at the front door to the hotel. Big shopping centres next door. Far from the main areas of Tokyo (Shinjuku, Shibuya etc) roughley a 30 min train ride. There is a train station at the front door to the hotel which is very conveniant but this is not a JR station so if you have the JR pass you can not use it here.
The attention to detail made the stay so much better.
High quality of service, wonderful bay view, rich variety of dining, excellent room service, staff professionalism
The bayside view was the hoghlight of the room I cannot list a thing that I didn't like
Swimming pool was great. Nothing very much.
The JR Suite was amazing. Love the high floors and view of Tokyo Tower. Customer Service at the front desk was excellent. After we paid for the upgraded suite we were a lot happier. Initial room was very small and they put us on the floor with the business and fitness area so people were in and out on that floor. Room was very very small where our 2 luggage would not fit. My GF kept on bumping her elbows into the shower door and the sink as there was no space in between for her to do her hair and make up. We had to upgrade to the JR. Suite at a very high price. The JR. Suite was an excellent room. We didn't need the living room area but it was a nice adder. What we were expecting was a bedroom similar to the JR suite bedroom but never got it on the regular booking. Concierge needs to look into what he's doing more. We asked about the Robot Restaurant and see about making reservations for that Saturday Night. He booked the reservations but didn't realize that payment up front is required. When we go to the place we were turned away as it was full and everyone had paid in full prior to arrival. When I tried to explain to him I don't think he spoke English well enough to understand. I was not mad at him as we understand we are in another country with a language barrier.
Housekeeping was good Kept clean Staff were mostly helpful Quiet Near Shimbashi and Shiodome Stations Amenities were good Airport Limousine to Narita At check-in we were told we needed to pay for a separate room as my mother and my sister together with me are considered too old to fit in one room with two double beds. They said a larger room would be available that could accommodate the three of us together the next day but we would have to pay an additional 330 USD per night of stay! Our flight landed 11 pm at Haneda by the time we got to the hotel it was already almost 12:30 am, we were exhausted! Renting an additional room also costed the same amount $330. That's the option we went with for at least a day. We then booked a second room online for the subsequent 5 days for only half the price they asked us for upfront. It made little sense from a business perspective if they had let us upgrade to a one bedroom that would release them of two smaller rooms that they can charge more for. Internet is slow especially at night, can barely read the news. Air conditioning was weak in one of our rooms, I was sweating a lot.
Staff was very helpful. Easy access to a lot of places walking, taxi, or train (close to shinbashi and Shiodome station). Breakfast was 25 dollars per person and did not include much. No good breakfast around. Very surprised that English proficiency of staff was not that good.
Convenient location, quiet and modern room. Free in-room lan connection. Very friendly, helpful staff. Iron only available in laundry room (so you have to bring your clothes there - no place to hang them while you iron several shirts...). I find that the room is expensive compared to the Park Hotel next door (which is more modern and larger rooms...).
We found the staff extemely helpful especially the guest relations desk went out of their way to be of assistance. The rooms where very comfortable. I was going to move to a cheaper hotel, but the manager organised me a fabulous rate for the extra days, so I didn't move. No
Bem perto da linha de metrô. Ótimos restaurantes e bares. Excelente spa.
I very much liked the authentic 50's modern hotel and interiors…in a great location in Tokyo near the American Embassy.
My November stay in Tokyo was switched from Okura Hotel to Sheraton Miyako Hotel, because Okura was demolished in May this year for a new hotel building to be reopened in 2018. So all the evaluations given here are for Miyako Hotel. The hotel is excellent, very roomy and update. It offers all what a ordinary traveler needs and beyond. Its location is great right in the middle of several subway stations, only Meguro station and takaniwa station are within walking distance. But, scheduled hotel buses taking hotel guests to Meguro and Shinagawa station is an excellent way to help hotel guests move around. Do your homework and find out what time the airport limousine bus can take you from airports to Miyako Hotel before you buy airline tickets. Because the bus schedule is very odd. I came to Miyako from Tokyo Haneda Airport, the airport limousine bus only runs twice in the morning and once in the late evening (Good for red eyed flight guests). If you come to the hotel any time between those schedules, you need to find out what is the nearest hotel or subway stations to Miyako the airport bus can take you to, then take taxi from there to Miyako.
Classic or dated, whatever your preference, but well maintained and spotless. Large rooms, for Japan. Staff is marvelous. Very close to the US Embassy and train stations. All staff speak English sufficient to get the job done. Booking through Kayak got a reasonable rate for Tokyo. Couldn't control the heat in the room, which was 79F. WiFi connects but can be erratic on mobile devices. Food in the hotel is outrageously expensive, but a 2 minute walk gets you to reasonable options. Gym is excellent but there is a substantial extra charge to use it.
The room was large and had a good view of the bay. The hotel was not close to restaurants or shopping. Which was a problem because the hotel restaurants were quite expensive. The 'double' beds were too narrow for two people to share.
shuttle to closest train station. Great views of river. no
The club level was an additional $100 USD approximately. I thought $75 would be more appropriate for what you got. Very nice experience.
view, attention to detail, and service.
This hotel is about 20-30 minutes by walking/subway from major areas like Shinjuku, Asakusa, and Ueno Park - just need to be aware when planning your stay as it can make for long days.
It was located right on the bay and we had a room with a view of the bay. It is on the outskirts of town, so not a lot going on near by.
Staff is really accommodating. Shuttle bus could be more often.
The staff - extremely polite and helpful. Calls made to the front desk were answered promptly and items delivered within minutes. It entire experience was a total delight.
The location and room size - very nice experiece and outstanding value for the rate provided by Priceline! The view bar was non-smoking, which is not common in Japan. Many patrons greatly prefer this, but I prefer at least one bar where I can enjoy a cigar.
Service - before, during, and after stay. Amenities. Location. View. Breakfast buffet was a bit over priced, but, food was good. Miso was overcooked. Could have used more 'free' fridge space. Should consider being a Disney 'Good Neighbor' hotel. Many hotel patrons had to use the train system and were caught in crowds.
This hotel is located in the tallest building in Tokyo and it offers incredible views of the city! The rooms are breathtaking and I have never experienced such incredible, all encompassing service. The concierge offered us the best sightseeing advice and we had one of the most memorable dinners in their Japanese Michelin Starred Restaurant. Oh and there's a fantastic 24hr Grocery Store located in the super posh MidTown Shopping Center adjacent to the hotel. I have to also say that compared to other Ritz-Carlton Hotels I have stayed at around the world... this is by far the best of their Hotels properties! What I didn't like was that we had to leave so soon...
i had booked a non-smoking suite. the room had clearly been smoked in - an air purifier was by the bed when i got to the room. not cool at all. the fact that there are still smoking rooms that can be 'changed' into non-smoking? plus, had an issue with business card request. hotel itself is beautiful but dealing with unexpected issues not very good-especially for the price.
Moderno e bem mantido - fantástica vista do quarto. O café da manhã não estava incluído; paguei mais para fazer o check-in um pouco mais cedo; era um quarto muito pequeno
Overall, a pleasant stay. I was there on business and bought an extra room for my children. Clean, comfortable beds. I've had better breakfasts at other hotels. Very close to Shinagawa station. Quiet rooms and comfortable beds. Clean and pleasant. 7/11 in basement comes in handy for a late snack.
Hotel is located within walking distance to Shinagawa Station. Very nice garden and helpful staff. Have to pay to use the pool.
This is a great Sheraton Hotel property. The staff is first class and the accommodations were excellent. If I had to list a negative, it's not in the hotel itself, but in the somewhat out of the way location. There is a 10+ minute transient, by foot, from the closest subway stattoo. The hotel does, however provide a frequent bus bridge between the hotel and another nearby subway station.
Very good restaurant (the Tenpura counter is great); and a good cigar bar that plays nice jazz, convenient, quiet location. Regular staff are very friendly and attentive. ¥1650 for a tiny, I'll-equipped gym whether or not you use the spa; very slow internet (can't download large files unless it's over a whole evening); was given a smoking room even though I requested non-smoking and it is on my lifetime Gold profile; no coffee pot or even instant coffee, forcing me to buy the room service coffee. Hotel management couldn't care less about comments or complaints.
Our accommodations were comfortable -- larger rooms than the norm in Tokyo. The neighborhood is quiet, upscale residential, but shops are just 5 (long) blocks away, and a 5-minute ride on the free shuttle bus takes you to Meguro Station with its many surrounding shops/restaurants and its easy access to the rest of Tokyo. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. There's free internet, coffee maker, and teapot in the room with supplies. The lobby bar features live soft jazz, features a view of the lovely garden. Shuttle bus to Narita runs at convenient times -- reserve in advance. Miyako is showing its age. Our bathrooms (during 2 stays) were half remodeled; they need to do the other half and update the rooms. Room lighting is dim, not a problem during the day thanks to the huge windows but a bother at night. Transport from Haneda to the hotel is a problem. The last bus is 2 pm and a taxi is $60. Some advice: like Tokyo hotels in general Miyako's restaurants are expensive and laundry charges are ridiculous. Go out to eat and wash your clothes. There are lots of good restaurants with reasonable prices around Meguro station, and the concierge directed us to a coin laundry a short walk from the Shirokanedae station, where the shuttle bus stops on request.
very classy lobby and facilities The room was more than disappointing.... im glad I didnt pay full price! My room was old looking, in need of renovation.
Good value for the money Location is not ideal for tourism
