Most of the employees were really nice, especially the main manager. He upgraded us to a king size bed room for free. Other employees were pleasant, you just had to be courteous to them. Despite complaints about the bathroom, ours was really clean. The price is fabulous for what you get, especially in the Bay Area. The walk to the BART was about a mile. The neighborhoods surrounding are a bit scary, but no where near the worst part of Oakland. A female employee was incredibly rude to me on an occasion when I asked for shampoo and she chose to ignore me for a couple of minutes before attending to my simple request.
The lady at the front desk had a really bad attitude. Also, the sheets were pretty nasty. It looks like they have never been replaced for years.
One of the staff didn't like me for my color. ..she tell me to wait at 3pm to check in but the white guy came in at the same time like I did at 150 pm and took his ID and gave him his room... read the first comment
The bed was very comfortable, fridge/microwave working good, nice air conditioning unit. Stayed for 3 nights, room got cleaned only once, had to re-use the towels, no shampoo, not enough soap
Its clean and comfy for the price No such thing as customer service
The hotel was pretty clean. The staff was horrible, when I asked a question, the staff got an attitude and ignored me half the time. I will never come here ever again.
The Bay Breeze Inn is located next to the freeway, BART, and train. It was extremely hard to sleep with the sound insulation of the walls being so thin.
