location was great and very clean place pool was being renovated and rooms were tiny
The staff, especially Richard the doorman, were friendly and helpful. Room windows cannot be opened. Stairwell was painted midday, heavy paint fumes filled the hallway.
I liked the fact they had a travel agency to book my trips day before. The pool is huge lots of space. The pool bar is great. Great drinks. Check in was fast and they even signed me up with a hilton account for free. I asked to leave my luggage for my flight so i could do some extra stuff and they helped me with that. So i was very happy. Me and my fiancé were treated like royal. I would come back. Thank you Hilton Cartagena!!! Didnt like that fact i got a lil hot at night. So i had to get up at night and reset the air conditioner. I asked for a late check out but they didnt have the space. The hotel was booked 100%. All around i dont have not really bad to say.
The location was fantastic very helpful staff I would definitely would come back again.
still waiting on the towels I asked multiple times for .....
New property, comfortable rooms, nice bathroom, expansive common areas, nice pool and solarium, excellent spa service, comfortable bed, decent food. The hotel is far from the walled city, and the taxi situation is really bad, you have to haggle to get a decent fare, and the drivers are very rude. The hotel should have its own shuttle to take people to/from the walled city and the airport. They have a car service, but its expensive. Also, the breakfast is not very good, the food does not seem fresh, and the coffee is terrible. Service is very slow, and the servers do not seem very motivated. The hotel only has 1 restaurant that is outdoors, for a property that size, there should be at least 1 more restaurant, indoors.
No negative at all , every thing was excellent
Excellent location in front of the beach and very close to restaurants in a very nice part of the city.
Is an old hotel that need a extreme makeover to update their rooms and facilities
Excellent securty Hot water was dark brown. I couldn't give the 4 month old baby a bath. Had to buy bottled water for her. No babysitters were allowed in the room. Not family orientated. Bueet lunc was not worth the money. Rice, bread and some sort of meat. Beach chairs are limited. We had to pay for chairs as the few they have were taken. To many harassing beach vendors.
Good facilities for the price we paid. Near to the beach, which is why we went there; also close to lots of good restaurants. The breakfast is also very comprehensive, good on quantity. I wanted to pay in cash and asked the staff how much the cost would be in local currency. I then made sure I had enough local currency to pay. On check out I was told that the hotel had already charged my credit card even before I had talked to the staff who either did not know or did not mention it to me. I was then left with a large amount of local currency which I had to change back into dollars. This was very annoying and costly.
Ele também ficou me seguindo. Eu não dormi a primeira noite porque puseram-me numa área perto de uma estrada movimentada. Foi como dormir do lado de fora ao lado de uma estrada, era muito barulhento.
Bela piscina e arquitetura do local.
I loved everything about the hotel. Loved that every room had its own balcony and a view. Very comfortable and clean. My girls had a great time. Not much negative things to say. Just at night occasionally a weird a/c noise but nothing that would keep you up. I'm just a light sleeper.
I'd give a 7 out of 10 The room smelled like mold They send someone in to refresh it and it was a little better One day they didn't send the maids to clean it until 4pm when I called and complained
Staff very profesional and courteous. Location was excelent. Facilities were on the mark. Nothing noted.
the shape of the hotel el balcony with the sea view is no beach construcion on the front view
Nothing a very bad treatment and careless for customers then want to take advantage of reservations. I reserved for two people and when I was leaving they tried to charge me for my wife until I found my reservation and show it was made for two people. The rooms are not clean and the rooms do not have hot water until you discover how to handle the faucet in a way you need to spend time move slowly in order to get hot water. When you ask for help in the front desk they treat you as you committed a crime when you are paying for the services the offer and do not accomplish. Welcoming, warm staff (with special mention to Vivianna); the rooms and particularly the comfort of the bed and the amazing shower; the plentiful, delicious breakfast each morning; and the phenomenal rooftop pool. The common areas are serene and beautiful, and the hotel is centrally located within the walled city. The concierge staff, while very responsive and helpful in advance of the trip, dropped the ball in following thru on all reservations and we missed out on a day trip to the Rosario Islands. The mishap was apparently due to a miscommunication with a former hotel employee. The hotel ended up treating us to a very nice city tour, but we were disappointed to have missed out on the island excursion. This was avoidable (hotel staff confirmed the itinerary just days before the trip); however, things worked out relatively satisfactorily in the end, and the hotel staff was very apologetic.
Beautiful boutique luxury hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Great location in Cartagena. Amazing roof top pool! Some of the amenities could use some updating (i.e. wood floors, gym, etc.)
I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this hotel. You have all the amenities you could want from a top grade hotel, paired with a friendly/warm staff who make it feel more like a boutique hotel. The restaurant on the first floor (Harry Sasson) was also great. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Cartagena!
The location is good Hotel charged us $300 dollars upon checkout for VAT & city taxes even though we booked and paid through KAYAK!! No bill was given!! No gym, no buffet breakfast, mediocre service simple room, simple shower, nothing special except the location. Won't recommend this hotel. Go for Helton or intercontinental.
We liked everything about the Ananda Hotel, the concierge was most helpful with restaurants and getting around. We took the advice of others that had stayed there and had dinner at the Hotel, it was excellent and good value. Breakfast was included and was again excellent. Nothing not to like.
Room size, cleaning less, staff support was great!! Breakfast was awesome!! Pool was superb and the beach front view was extraordinary!! Beach vendors! What a pain the butt!! They harass you the entire time while you're on the beach! Don't accept or take anything from them, unless you plan on buying it!
I wish that they had better internet service. It either didn't work at all or was too slow. They need to speak better English to accommodate their guests, since this is a hospitality business.
I did like the breakfast every morning . They offer a nice variety of fruits and breads to go with your choice of style eggs made to order. I didn't like the fact that the Ac was not working properly . We had two rooms in our stay and both had cooling issues.
I loved the room decoration for couples done by the staff of the hotel. Also the breakfast was really good . N/a
The hotel offers great comfort. The pool next to the beach is wonderful. The breakfast was so delicious. The bedrooms are very clean and comfortable. I didn't like the prices. It is a little bit costly the food.
Hotel service was great. Bed was super comfortable and room was clean. There's a quick mart across the street with everything you need. The beach wasn't relaxing at all. The vendors are extremely aggressive. They line up at your cabana and you can barely close your eyes for 30 seconds. They start massaging you and asking for money. We were there for 3 days and only went to the beach 1 day.. Stay in old town and enjoy the history and market where you go to vendors, not the other way around.
