The location was pretty good with pretty quick access via street car to the main subway terminal. Staff was also very friendly and helpful. This is definitely not a luxury hotel. Things look nice but the hotel is old with a new coat of paint. You can tell where the renovations were done on a budget so things looked nice, but were not actually done well. In addition, the walls were paper thin. We could hear the people in the next room having a conversation. We did get the hotel for a very good rate, but there is absolutely no way the rooms are worth normal price. The hotel itself is not bad, but it is by no means 'luxury.'
Room was nicely appointed, clean. Location is great although construction is going on in street for awhile
Location and the updated modern rooms were very clean!
The breakfast french toast was delicious. Good downtown location. Room didn't have blackout curtains, but it did have Eastern exposure (i.e. the early sun). I think the more expensive rooms had blackout curtains, but that should be a standard feature, not one you pay more for! Bathroom didn't have a toilet-paper dispenser. Had to unroll it on my own. Nor did the shower have a full closing door- only half the shower was covered.
Room was clean bright and comfortable, staff was professional courteous and quick. Parking was an issue, went to a ballgame and left after the game. Vehicle was left in parking lot at hotel took me over 35 minutes to exit lot. Restaurant at hotel is beautiful but not family orientated.
very nice updated hotel close to many attractions and public transportation. staff could have been more knowledgeable about locations and attractractions
Settled into the hotel restaurant for dinner--seemed nice at first glance--only to discover that the only way for guests to use the pool facility is to enter and exit, you guessed it, right through the restaurant. Read: noisy kids, waterlogged floors, noisy commotion, did I mention noise? Yeah. Noise, lots of noise. What an incredible fail for Radisson.
The location was phenomenal, within walking distance of so much -- only a 10-15 walk from Air Canada Centre, a couple minutes from the Rogers Centre/aquarium/CN Tower, and just a short subway ride from the ROM and Casa Loma, etc. The restaurant behind the hotel (Amsterdam Brewhouse) was absolutely fantastic as well. The rooms were so clean and big and comfortable. It was perfect for a weekend getaway. On top of it, the staff was so friendly and helpful, making for an even better stay. The only thing I really didn't like was the fact that parking wasn't free for hotel guests (it was $21/day), but I know that it's a hotel in the downtown area of a large city, so they can't really control that/you should expect to pay for parking.
Great location between Ontario lake and the CN tower!
Loved the full wall of windows with shutters on them in the bedroom and windows/skylights in the bathroom. Made the room so wonderfully bright in the mornings. Modern updates gave the room a high-end look and feel. Very beautiful. Very comfortable. We experienced four minor annoyances. Firstly, the fireplace (which came with a remote - pretty cool) made squeaking noises when it was on. Secondly, the mattress was overdue for a change - my side had a significant body indentation in it. Thirdly, the lower spigot in the shower was not attached to the wall - it stuck out about a foot or so into the shower. Lastly, the old tub is still in the bathroom but really just takes up space (it's a short tub, so no spa-like soaking). None were huge issues, just minor details that should be addressed.
Everything was great and staff was amazing. Very clean. Great location a couple blocks from everything. Parking was a mess was told $21 dollars but credit card was charged $35
We were in town for a concert and a Jay's game, the location was perfect. We love to be near the waterfront when in Toronto and this was our favorite location so far. The hotel is smaller in size which is nice, not too busy, it's clean and the staff was great. The pool area on the 5th floor is a great location to sit at night and enjoy a cocktail while people watching. We have no complaints about this hotel. A little pricey but I guess you pay for location.
Large modern room. Due to Blue Jays game they had no parking available when we arrived. I had to find off site parking which cost $40 then move my vehicle to the hotel after the game and pay hotel $35. So $75 to park, was NOT happy with that. No free wi-fi. Charge was $12.95. The room was not cheap, do they really need more of my money for wi-fi? I travel often and I cannot remember the last time wi-fi was not included for free. No in room safe.
Everything is very close by, Excellent living rooms in each room, not just a typical bed and a desk, and the TV check out was very convenient. they up graded us to a stadium view, that was good but they left the flood lights on all night. Seemed like a waste, but I guess that really has nothing to do with the hotel. Also we got unlucky and the kitchen was closed due to a break down, but I have eaten there before and it is very good
Large rooms and beautiful large bathroom. Staff friendly and happy to help
it was a nice view and the water front wasn't to far from the amphitheater were i was going it was over priced for a small hotel like that
Fast check in, complimentary breakfast above the norm, close to transport and entertainment Expensive parking. Wifi should be free.
We loved the location as it was a perfect home base for us to explore downtown Toronto on foot, via the Subway, streetcar and taxi cab. We initially chose the hotel for its close proximity to the cne and the cn Tower but were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to access many tourist attractions in the area. The hotel itself was clean, the pool was lovely and the staff were exceptionally pleasant. We'll be back! The exterior grounds were not up to the standard one would expect for an International hotel, (weeds, faded paint on signs, etc.)
City view room wasn't available when we arrived (which we were supposed to get) so they gave us a room with a view of the centre feild of the Rogers Centre so we watched the Blue Jays baseball game from our room. Loved it!
My room was large, beautiful, and clean. The hallways were a bit difficult to navigate and I got lost a couple of times until I got a acclimated to it. I went around in circles before I could find the elevator! The hotel is very special because it sits directly next to Rogers stadium, which is the home of the Toronto Blue Jays, & I understand that there is soccer there too. If you sit in the hotel's restaurant, you can look directly into the stadium, and it's a great deal of fun. However, I understand that there are some rooms that also look directly into the stadium but which do not have windows to the outside, so these rooms would make a sports fan very happy but perhaps others might be disappointed. Be sure to ask for a room that has a window to the outside if you don't want to face the stadium. The concierge was very nice, and attempted to be very helpful. However, she did not give clear enough instructions on how to get around the city. Taking a cab was a big suggestion of hers, & I really wanted to learn how to use public transit. Perhaps part of the problem, however, is that Toronto's subway system has not grown as the city has grown. It is not that widespread or complex, and in order to reach many places, there's a great deal of transferring necessary between train and street car. So this is difficult for a tourist to learn quickly.
It's right next to the ballpark. You can eat lunch and watch the game from the hotel restaurant. Centrally located. It's super convenient. I hated the fact that they charge to use wifi or the internet in the business center.
The hotel was very convenient and central to many of the Toronto tourist attractions, and the novelty of watching the baseball game from the restaurant was great.
Rooms need a refresh.
From the moment you arrive, you are aware you are in a special place. The understated luxury and the attentive but discrete staff mean you can enjoy your stay in the knowledge everything you need is at your fingertips while enjoying as much privacy as you need. The wood-paneled design theme is carried through the hotel from the lobby to your room, which is a haven from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Do ask for a quiet room though as the noise of Toronto's condo construction boom can interrupt the tranquility in some areas (a problem not unique to Le Germain). But the hotel has even thought of that. It helpfully provides ear plugs in the bedrooms for those who are sleep-challenged. It's just one of the many little and big touches that make this hotel an oasis in the entertainment district of Canada's largest city, just a short distance from Toronto's island airport served by the Porter airline. 1. Super staff who don't get "in your face" 2. Understated charm of hotel with thoughtful design touches 3. FantastIc bedrooms with plenty of space (judging by our room) 4. Convenient location in Toronto's downtown theatre district and close to waterfront
Ótima localização, limpo e espaçoso.
Os funcionários são muito gentis e prestativos. A localização é excelente e as janelas anti-ruído permitem siêncio total no quarto.
Custo do estacionamento alto.
Localização Nada a sugerir
Localização Limpeza, tamanho do quarto
Cobram 10 Can$ por dia.
The location is absolutely outstanding. The Rogers Centre and CN Tower are right on your door step. Some features of the room were very poor. Flimsy/loose towel rails in bathroom, holes in dry wall, patched walls not painted, build up of dirt on light fixtures (which also seemed loosely fixed/insecure)
