Staff was very friendly and helpful. Love the location - easy walk to arena and convention center and light rail. Plenty of restaurants, clubs, live music choices nearby as well. While I didn't mind, some may be put off by the need to leave the hotel and cross the plaza to access fitness center and breakfast. Both are well worth the "inconvenience"
This hotel is Nice and clean. The interior design is modern. The location is perfect if you want to take a stroll around downtown. From the front entrance, you can see the US Airways stadium, the Chase stadium or arena (sorry, not a sports fan) and just a few minutes walk away. Also it about a five to ten minutes walk to Heritage Square. One minus is the room we stayed in had only one chair and a long sofa for seating. Having just one chair made it tough for two of us to enjoy food or coffee in our room. I recommend friends to stay there, but because it's downtown, don't be surprised about how expensive parking can be, $23/night. None
Nice place No smoking. $140+ rooms but $27 just to park in garage. And no the hotel doesn't pay for it dicount it or validate parking. This was a bummer.
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly, courteous and professional. Only guests can enter the guest room floors. Our room's thermostat was not working right. Our room at the lowest temperature was freezing but at any higher temperature our room would be way too hot. There was no door on the shower which caused water from the shower to get on the bathroom floor, making it slick and a fall hazard. Our bed had no sheet, just the comforter and a small throw blanket. We had to request a sheet and add it to the bed ourselves. We had a very difficult time getting comfortable enough to sleep.
Cleanliness Room service took forever to show up...2hrs later
I liked the location, the décor, and the amenities and perks included with the hotel room stay. Overall, a great hotel. :) I did not like the design of the shower, where it was only partially enclosed with a glass wall, where water could spray out onto the bathroom floor. The mattress was a little hard, and the pillows were a little flat.
Staff very friendly and helpful. The Concierge Room is advertised as being for guests with rewards points at the Platinum or Gold level plus one guest. The hotel opened the Concierge Room to hundreds of pre-teen and teenaged girls unchaperoned, competing in a national ballerina event in the city. Business and professional guests very disappointed.
The Renaissance is close to so many cool downtown Phoenix venues - Valley Bar, Hanny's Seamus McCaffrey's, and Crescent Ballroom. We were able to walk around and had plenty to do all within walking distance.
Great check in staff and very nice room. Decided to stay in instead of going out and the bar staff at the hotel was horrible waited 15 minutes for first drink and then couldn't remember what the drink was. It was super expensive and staff not very personable
Stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. When I got off the elevator to go to my room, I stepped on the thickest, plushest carpet ever. Room was spotless. Lots of outlets on the desk so I was able to keep all my devices charged. All of the staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful. Even the valet, when my car was brought around, washed my windshield before I started out for home. Extremely easy to get back to I-10. The breakfast buffet was wonderful - including lots of fresh fruit and again. Walking distance to Chase Field as well as lots of bars and restaurants. Would have liked to have had a magnifying mirror in the bathroom for putting on my makeup but there was lots of light.
The location of the hotel was great. It was in the heart of Phoenix. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The gym is very small and they were renovating so you could hear work being done and the elevators were really slow.
Quartos amplos. Roupa de cama confortável. Design moderno.
Perto do aeroporto. Motel confortável. A área em redor do hotel é definitivamente esboçado.
Normally I dread the term "boutique," which usually signals small, cramped spaces with questionable decor. This was not the case with FoundRe. The rooms were spacious and very stylishly appointed, with wonderful design aesthetic. The staff were courteous and helpful and the adjoining restaurant was excellent as well. The only slight downside was the fairly spartan "fitness room" which was a handful of cardio machines and a basic set of dumbells.
Had tickets to diamondbacks game. Close place stay. Breakfast was okay. Didn't care for turkey sausage.
staff friendly location shuttle service started at 7AM. - doesn't help for earlier flights bathroom had lots of wear and tear; especially tub/shower requested extra supplies via Kayak but didn't receive them upon check in.
The beds were torture. Not only were they hard, the springs were poking through. Also, we paid for queen beds and got doubles. The breakfast was a joke: it was in a tiny cramped little room and was gone every morning we went down. Worst of all, we were constantly bombarded by the extremely loud noise of elevator machinery. Seriously, it was impossible to relax there.
Great historic building that fit in right in the center of downtown. As it is a historic property, the lobby was marvelously refurbished with its marble surroundings. Rooms were extremely clean and comfortable and the style is wonderful. Close to everything in downtown including the light rail, bars/restaurants, sports arenas, and nightlife. As it is a historic property only valet parking available which may inconvenience some but wasn't a deterrent for me. Room service limited to a few hours daily.
Low cost LCD TV would have been nice
exellent staff-really help, good location-6 blocks from downtown, not expensive, free parking and continental breakfast, really working free wi-fi, close to convention center.
Microwave defect, no coffee machine, room needs renovation.
The location was great, the price good and the renovated rooms superb value.
The new paint and carpet is nice, but the bathtub should have been replaced also. Very comfortable for the low cost downtown. Parking is tight due to the construction.
it was not too far from convention center the bathroom light was not bright enough too dim
Newly renovated rooms and very friendly staff. Walking distance to downtown Phoenix. Sheets weren't the most comfortable and there was a big wet spot on the floor.
really nice and clean. Certainly it is well located in downtown.
Our overall stay was decent. Quiet, never any interruptions. What I didn't care for, the pool was absolutely disgusting. After taking a shower, we discovered our feet were dirty. We discovered it was the carpet making our feet black! Also dropped some jewelry between the bed and night stand, reached down to grab it and pulled back a handful of what appeared to be cookie crumbles..upon further review there was tons of food crumbs, some hair accessories and other items, that were not ours.
The room was supposed to be smoke free, but reeked of smoke including bedding, towels, etc and the smoke alarm had the battery removed. The place was so dirty I had to was off the light switch and the phone before touching either. I asked for a different room, the manager told me no, I checked out one hour later because I couldn't breathe in all the smoke.
Close to the downtown area. Within a few minutes walk to ballpark, arena, and convention center
Bad Wi-fi condition, breakfast with minimum menu. If you are looking for relatively cheap accommodation, it's fine, but I still think I overpaid.
Staff was friendly. This was the dirtiest room I have ever stayed in. The carpets, doors, comforter, even one of the towels were dirty! The continental breakfast was a joke, and there were only 3 tables with hardly enough room for 6 people to be in there at a time. The neighborhood wasn't very nice, but I was trying to find something cheap within walking distance of the convention center. I walked it, but it was a bit of a hike. You get what you pay for, and at least I didn't pay much.
The room was clean but had no wastebaskets. Toiletries provided were lotion, lotion and conditioner. The plumbing produced lots of noise when I or the room next door tried to take a shower, and the water was only lukewarm. Breakfast was pretty good compared to other Super 8s I have stayed at.
Ar-condicionado, cama, microondas, geladeira, limpeza Um boxe pequeno com chuveiro. A água fria estava quente.
Got to our room and the door wouldn't open. Had to get another room. One of the lamps were broke. Could use an update on the decor
Nothing, We didnt stay but the front desk lady was very nice. Everything
Nothing. It was in the worst part of town and the place was filthy. I didn't even check in. I found other accommodations elsewhere and they wouldn't refund my money.
Front desk staff was courteous and helpful. Reserved online and had no problems checking in when we arrived. Super close to the airport. Mattresses didn't fit on the platform and there were gum wrappers under there, as well as the remote for the TV. I found dirty socks behind the dresser when searching for an electrical outlet. Hardened gum or something smashed into carpet. Visually dirtiness made us feel weird about sleeping in the sheets, so we didn't sleep well. Pool photo on website is NOT actual pool at hotel, very misleading.
When we arrived at the airport we called the front desk for the shuttle. Their terrible phone line plus a heavy accent made it impossible to understand what he was saying. We waited for 40 minutes for the shuttle while constantly calling the front desk only to finally take a taxi. Once we arrived at the hotel we find out that the shuttle doesn't say "days inn" it says "Sky harbor". When we asked why he didn't tell us that, his response was "I did, you should have listened." Terribly rude plus the rooms were disgusting.
The location was good. A non-smoking room that was obviously smoked in and by the burn marks on the counter tops what was being smoked was obvious also. The remote to the TV didn't work. The floors were obviously not vacuumed in quite some time. The breakfast consisted of 4 yogurts and some toast to be shared by all. All in all I would not go back nor recommend it to anyone.
The maintenance guy was on his game when my tv controller didn't work. The proprietor was rude, when I arrived, he couldn't find my reservation and wanted a $50 deposit if I paid in cash. Checking in took forever, and at the end he charged $3.00/night security deposit for the safe, even though I didn't use it... It's in a very bad area, but that's nobody's fault, when you go by price that's expected. I heard him talking to someone waiting to be picked up by the airport, and he wasn't polite to them either. A hooker stuck her head in my window before I got out to check in...not a family area, and the picture with a Jacuzzi doesn't exist..The pool isn't bad though. The place was pretty iffy, but not dirty, and as I said, I felt the proprietor was pretty shifty.
I found an excellent mexican restaurant down the street. Huge roaches in the room.
We left our documents in safe in room and live 3 hours away they sent them over night to us we will stay here again and they watched our new camaro while we were on our cruise
Nothing Old, outdated bad neighborhood . Can't believe this is a day's inn! The toilet seat was all yellow and disgusting . Chose because we have had positive experience with days inn before. They should have paid us to stay. We couldn't wait to leave!
The location was close to the airport. The airport shuttle van driver was very helpful and on time. The bathroom was disgusting. The tub did not drain properly, there was very little water pressure, and it was generally dirty. There was also an odd smell to the room as if they were trying to cover up some other odor. We also had trouble checking into our room. Apparently there was an issue with our reservation being sent to the hotel. It was blamed on the hotel booking service (Orbitz), but this was also a problem for the three other people trying to check in at the same time and they all used different booking services. There may be a problem with the computer reservation system.
