Prós: The hotel is very new and modern, the rooms are large and the kitchenette is a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and the TV in the bathtub was an added bonus.
Contras: We chose this hotel because they allow pets and we were transiting Korea overnight with our service dog. We asked the concierge if they could find us a pet friendly restaurant for dinner since we had already eaten at the hotel restaurant (not good) twice, but instead of helping the man said something to the effect of "Koreans don't do that. We are the only hotel in all of Korea that allows dogs." A quick google search shows 122 pet friendly hotels in Korea. He was very dismissive and unhelpful, a trend followed in every interaction we had with reception, concierge, and the restaurant waiters. Perhaps it was because we are a gay couple? It was almost like they didn't want to make eye contact at all. In addition to a hefty per-night cleaning fee for having a dog, they are not allowed to be in any public area or the restaurant either, and the staff are clueless about dog related inquiries.
-The cheapest bottle of wine in the restaurant was $60 and from 2015. -The breakfast buffet was adequate but for lunch and dinner the food was subpar with very limited choices.
-Waiting for two consecutive lifts to get to your ear-popping 60th floor room every time becomes tedious.

Prós: A positive experience from booking online to checking in. The hotel is exceptionally clean and has quite the positive, friendly staff. Room was very spacey, clean and comfortable. My preferred hotel wherever I travel.
Prós: Staff, location, contemporary, nice gym, great pools.
Contras: Bit pricey, but maybe I'm just being frugal.
Prós: Staff, hotel design and accommodations are Aces. My stay was excellent. Everything was super clean. I will definitely be staying here next time I visit Korea.
Contras: Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Prós: The Bidet
The Friendliness of the staff
Contras: This is the first time I've stayed at the Hyatt since they added the West Tower. I had a friend stay in the West while I stayed in the East. The rooms were definitely defined by their age...I wish I was in the West Tower too, even though I was on the "Grand" floor (11th) in the East.
While the staff is friendly, It struck us both that there are just a lot of employees that are paid to stand around and be pleasant. It seemed a little "creepy"...like there was more staff than guests.
Then I was depressed when I went next door to the eMart and saw the closed down, multi-story mall. It didn't last long...
Contras: I booked the hotel as the result of an unexpected long layover of 12 hours. As a result, the booking was made the same day and I arrived at 9 am. As such they wouldn't allow an early checkin unless I agree to an additional charge of 50%. So in reality an 11 hour stay cost me 150% of a normal stay. In addition, after my workout, I faced a cold shower in the locker room. No signs or explanation offered.
Prós: You feel like you get what you're paying for. So many 5 star hotels in Korea have great lobbies, but the rooms are terrible and the staff are worse. They spend so much money looking hip that they forget everything else. This place was amazing.
Contras: There is no airport shuttle, but an airport bus which drops you off right outside. It takes nearly an hour to get there, however.
Prós: The location, the staff's attention, and the breakfast was delicious with many options.
Prós: The subway is like 2 min away by walking. The restaurants are everywhere. Although it's like an hour away from Seoul still very convenient for us. I will come back here if ever we get the chance again to visit Korea
