Awesome hotel near Hot Springs National Park! The hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
The hotel was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was tasty for a continental breakfast. Overall a nice place to stay. You could hear people talking through the walls at night
They breakfast was great, the staff was on point. & that spa was much needed.
The attentive and courteous staff rivals that of a cruise ship. I have stayed at the Embassy Suites in Hot Spings twice in the last four months and each time I was made to feel special by every member of the staff. The Hot Springs Embassy Suites should be a template for the Hilton chain on how to cater to guests. Yes, I had to eventually leave!!!
The room was great and for a great price! It was very comfortable, clean, and had a great view! The downstairs area was great, I loved the fireplace in the lobby and the eating area. The pool was awesome, and the complimentary breakfast was good! I wish the breakfast had bacon! That would have made my day!
The staff was very friendly and everything was well kept and clean The drive way to the hotel is very hard to find the first time and a little steep. Also, the breakfast was definitely not the greatest.
Location on lake Hamton was a big plus. Rooms were clean and comfortable
I loved the location of the hotel. It was ready for check in upon our arrival. It had a workout facility. I wasn't able to get a non-smoking room. Requesting a nonsmoking room should be an option when selecting a room kayak.
Housekeeping did a good job of room cleaning each day. Relatively quiet. Good view off of balcony. Staff was courteous. Odd smell in hallway on 5th floor
Very very clean and location was really really nice for the price The bed was a bit too stiff for my fiancé and I
Friendly and very helpful staff. Nice hotel. Little old. Rooms need to be updated.
Staff was great. Room was ok, but good for the money. Could use an update.
The breakfast was good even without biscuits and gravy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is convenient - an easy turn in at the light on Central Avenue. I have no idea why hotels in the United States use these heavy bed spreads that combine a blanket with the top sheet. This is a european tradition that is unnecessary with a heated and cooled room. Hampton Inn - save yourself some money and do away with them! Replace them with a medium weight blanket. The furniture in the dining area is too heavy. The large chairs in front of the TV are too big, too heavy, too hard and uncomfortable. Get rid of them! Please! People behind them can't see the TV when sitting down.
Hotel, room and bed were great. Staff, however, was rude and condescending. I could hear them talking about other customers in a rather negative light while there were quite a few of us in the lobby. I understand that, in any workplace, you're going to have complaints about the people you deal with. You shouldn't, however, let those people (or other customers) hear about it, though.
This hotel was a great place in a great location. The only knock I give it is that it was noisy. Not people running down the hall noisy, but built in such a way that one could hear people in the hall and above you and beside you... Other than that it was great and I would stay there again.
We rented the King Suite as we were travelling with our 2 yr old and 19 year old daughter. Our one and ONLY complaint on the hotel was that the air conditioning setup was a unit in the living area and a very pathetic pass thru fan into the bedroom. So with this setup our kids froze and we were too hot. If we opened the door the temp evened out, but we got the suite with the bedroom to have some privacy.
My husband, toddler and I made a quick stop in Hot Springs to eat at McClards while on a road trip. Our hotel stay wasn't great as we expected. We arrived late, during a shift change; I know this because the staff member who eventually checked me in, informed me that he was trying to leave for the night. We had a queen sized bed, but only one nightstand which is always difficult on a couple who both wear glasses. There was only one bath towel in the room as well, so maybe the expect a queen bed to be a single. We knew in advance that the hotel does not provide portable cribs, and there was enough room for the one we brought. All night long, we listened to the freezer, on the full sized refrigerator, make noise - I assume the ice maker given the only ice makers on premises are the ones in room. We were on the first floor and heard everyone walking through the parking lot in the morning, as well as the car alarm that kept going off. We did not hear much noise from inside the hotel, howev...
A good clean hotel with friendly customer service.
Nice and affordable, especially, My son likes Free rental DVD service
My wife and I were looking for a 3 - 3 1/2 star hotel that would allow our 1 1/2 years old golden retriever/lab mix. If you are looking to stay at a nicer hotel with a larger dog in the Hot Springs area, then I would strongly recommend this hotel. The rooms come with a fully stocked kitchenette so that you can fix your own food (and refridgerate it) if you want. The beds are pretty comfortable and the bathrooms are clean. There is even a nice patio out back overlooking the pool. The only drawback to the hotel is that they do not serve any kind of breakfast whatsoever. The only thing you're going to find is pre-packaged stuff at the lobby's convenience store that come with the typically inflated hotel prices. From what I understand, the breakfast situation is a standard thing for Candlewood Suites. You are, however, charged about 10 dollars less per night than a comparable room due to the lack of food. So go to a closely located restaurant and spend your money on breakfast there. That o...
THE ROOMS COME WITH MIN KITCHENS & WERE CLEAN. THE LOCATION IS ON THE MAIN STREET OF TOWN & JUST OUT OF THE MAIN DOWNTOWN AREA. HAD VIDEO'S TO RENT WITH A BUMPER CARS/GAMES CENTER RIGHT NEXT DOOR FOR THE CHILDREN. WILL CHECK OUT CANDLEWOOD SUITES AGAIN!
The strengths of the hotel were the excellent service. By that I mean the staff was Very friendly, courteous and always willing to help where possible. The room was also furnished with modern furniture, it was clean and had everything I needed in the kitchen. The internet speeds were also very good. I was getting over 12 Mbps download and over 4 upload. On the flip side, I found the hotel noisy. When someone walked on the floor above us, our room would shake. Also our breaker kept blowing when the microwave was in use ( I am sure this is not normally the case though).
This was our second stay at Candlewood. The rooms are very clean, nice decor, bed was comfortable. Friendly staff. Close to everything. Great Stay.
This hotel was very clean! We had a studio suite and it was plenty big enough for the two of us! We did not use any of the cooking appliances, but they looked new. The bed was very comfortable too. Was close to the racetrack, we walked. Even though there was no breakfast at this hotel, there were several options close by. Overall a fantastic stay!!!
I liked that the facility was so new. The showers drained slow. Surprisingly, I stood ankle deep in a brand new bathroom.
The room/hotel was new and overall very clean. The free breakfast was very nice, far better than the majority of free hotel breakfasts. Found a towel from a previous guest that the cleaning service did not.
nice room alot of space and very clean. staf was very helpful for any thing you needed. i would stay here again.
I was here under a group reservation. The rooms were filthy-cobwebs,roaches, cigarette holes in the linens. The pictures are not even close to accurate. The TV didn't work. The only thing the remote did was change channels. The air-conditioning did not cycle through properly. I had to get up all night long to turn it on and off. The unit next to ours didn't even have a door knob. We were pre-paid through a group trip and had to stay or we would have left. The breakfast was a joke. The only nice thing about this place was the pool. There were much beter hotels blocks away. This was not even worth it as a last resort. Sleeping in the car would have been better.
I made a trip to Hot Springs for a furneral November 2006. I was going to be in town for several days. I booked it through AARP. Originally I had paid reservations for Americana Econo Inn. It was so filthy and unoccupied that I refused to stay there. When I called the Travel office the man said he would transfer my reservation to Rodeway Inn. I was told I would be very happy there. It was a very old motel with bad outside lighting. Mold on the tile in shower. The furniture was very old. I wouldn't stay there if it was free! This place should not be listed as a AARP hotel or motel.
the rooms are old and dirty looking. Didn't feel comfortable on the beds because of cleanliness issues.Need to show if motel is american owned. Any time I have stayed in an Indian owned Motel, they always have cleanliness issues!
Our sheets had trash in them and the bathrooms had not been cleaned. There was a used half bar of soap still in the tub and old toothpaste still in the sink. The floors had not been vaccumed and there were roaches lurking about. This place should be shut down.
The picture is not the actual one of the hotel. It is in an old rundown section of town that does not appear safe. It is misrepresented on the site and should be removed. It looked so bad I didn't even go inside. I couldn't write to you if I didn't state room, comfort, etc was all terrible but I didn't even go inside. I would have driven 7 hours back home if I had not found another place to stay. Now I will be charged with taxes and all about $* for a room because I didn't give 24 hours cancellation that first night. How do I go about getting my money back?
Booked Room on line . Only hotel left on the online web site in affordable range for my budget. Picture shows motel has outside door opening and did not want that but according to picture motel looked ok so I booked a room. Other rooms available at other hotels were almost $*/night. Got into town at 10 p.m. Called for directions. Motel is in oldest part of town which was scary for a woman with 2 girls with her. Drove up. The hotel picture on line is not what the hotel actually looks like. It was a dive. Curtains falling off the windows, windows scratched up looking, old, old, old. I had to rate room, service, etc. to do review but actually never went inside. I couldn't bear too. It was too seedy looking for me. I drove 1 1/2 hours before finding another hotel 60 miles away and stayed at a Holiday Inn Express which was wonderful.
The room was fine for the price; however, the beds were very uncomfortable and sunk in the middle while sleeping. The shower head was terrible which made rinsing hair time consuming. The continental breakfast had very little to offer. They should invest in the self-serve waffle maker set-up. It WAS clean and the staff were decent.
We were very late getting to our room and the staff/owners were waiting at the front desk with a smile and a small gift bag. In a time when no one really cares about service the people at this hotel went above and beyond to see that we were happy and comfortable. Some of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. A beautiful pool area. This hotel is one of the great old ladies from a time past when families traveled together and stopped for the night at well known named hotels. There were a lot of empty rooms but we had the same thing at all our stopps along our 10 day road trip.Would definatly recommend this hotel .The only thing they were lacking was the breakfast. I had no problem with it but husband needs a little more than cereal and toast.
This was the worst hotel ever. We went as a group of 21 we had 5 rooms and there was something wrong with everyones. Ours had roaches in it. The bathroom had no bath grips so I feel in shower and have a big knot on my head. The other four rooms were not clean when we got there. In my sisters room there was a water leak in the bath and the room smelt like mildew ( crap). Then they gave my sis a new room and locked her out of her old one so she couldn't get her stuff and the other room they gave her was not clean so they went up front and my sis asked for money back and that guy told her she was not getting a thing free. Then they gave them 30. back at check out which they should have got all money back. O would not refer or recommened this hotel for NOONE
we booked this motel online based on location and looks of pictures seemed to be ok till we got there, check in was ok. front desk didnt know what they were doing lost second room. daughters room was joined her room was partly cleaned ours disaster room not cleaned asked for another didnt have any that joined had booked room over a week ahead told lady we would wait for room to be cleaned staff didnt know how to clean lady that did that was sick, told them i would clean myself if brought cleaning items and bedding they didnt know where it was either room was covered in bloody items would not refund any of the rate we were 2 hours from home on limited money bought some bleach gloves and cleaned myself flipped mattress told them at front desk would not stay again
This is a dirty, rundown dump of a flop house. online travel website gave it 3 stars only because they do not care enough about their customers to actually check the correctness of their statements. This hotel is owned by people from India that also maintain it. I have seen latrines that are cleaner. The room door was not secure, the beds were crap, the bathroom full of mold, paint peeling, etc., etc., etc. The color of the pool water was sewer. \n \nIf you want loud people, drinking malt liquor, smoking cigarettes and yelling until 1 am in the morning outside your 'non-smoking room' door, then this is your place. If not, spend 20 bucks more and stay in a real hotel, like a Holiday Inn Express. \nThe hotel would not even give us a receipt and said online travel website would not allow them to do so...What complete crap. \nI would post pictures if this sorry web site would allow me to do so. \nThis is the first and last time I use them for anything.
