the genral atmosphere, the location, the breakfast
Comfortable, freshly renovated room on the top floor with nice view over the river and part of Ayutthaya.Smiling, Good location next to the bridge into the old town. Smiling, friendly and spirited staff. Tasty breakfast with good Asian choices as well. All in all: excellent value for money! Will stay there again the next time we are in the area and can fully recommend the hotel. The sound insulation of the windows was not so good and you could hear the busy morning traffic crossing the bridge.
The restaurant was air conditioned and reasonable. Lots of Thai people patronized it. One night I had to wait to get seated because it was full of locals. The bathroom was substandard and a bit dirty.
The cafe was good The facilities were clean The staff were wonderful The room was spacious The location was great They don't allow guests in the rooms. I'm an adult I should be able to bring whoever I want into the room.
Moved to this Hotel / Service Apartment after staying one night at the nearby Dumpy "Ayutthaya Grand Hotel" which was utterly a nightmare out of 1985.. At this Kameo I found modern, sleek and comfortable lodging. Breakfast is very good on Quality and Selection. Once I arrived and checked in, I felt comfortable and I did enjoy my short visit. I would stay here again in the future if I am back in this area of the world. Do not expect coffee in the Room, there is a Coffee Pot but the Facility does not seem to provide coffee or tea that you often find in other places with similar prices.
Close to train station and ferry to the island Very old and dirty hotel. There were insects in the breakfast. We were going to stay three nights and left after the first nigh, which we had never done before.
Comfortable friendly hotel on the river bank. Nice view from the window of the room. Excellent restaurant on the water. Excellent price - quality. I recommend to all.
The staff was pleasant. The river view was actually a river view, and good. The lunch buffet was excellent. This is a good basic hotel if you want a river view, and do not plan on staying in the room much. It is only two block from the train station, with a 7-11 next door, and an excellent restaurant next to that. The breakfast buffet was lacking, and most everything was cold. There was only the choice of fried eggs, no scrambled. Only one choice of meat. This breakfast buffet was very disappointing considering the price of the room, and not anywhere near the quality of the lunch buffet, that was not included with the room. The rooms could use a remodel as everything is old, and stained. It is clean, but looks bad with many stains in the carpet. This is a hotel used by many low cost tour groups, so be aware of this. The non-river view rooms are not worth the price, with much cheaper rooms one block away. I would ONLY recommend the river view rooms. I upgraded to a deluxe river view room after I arrived.
Located approximately 200 meters from train station. The bedding was very comfortable. The aircon worked very well. The staff was very friendly. And as a Gideon, it was good to see not only Bibles near the check in desk, but the staff encouraged each person to take one and read The only negative that would offend many is that the carpets had stain, but the property is well maintained despite this minor flaw
Staff don't speak English; travel agency useless. Breakfast was very poor; cold eggs, bad coffee and tea etc. Staff not friendly and not paying attention to guests.
The room and the hotel personal were ok! In my opinion (I'm a structural engineer) the structures of the building have some static sicurity problems (at least at floor number 8 in wich was my room), there were cracks in some beams causing other cracks in walls below them...
The hotel is close to the train station. out of the station turn left towards the big bridge. the hotel is on the right side, 200m. Around are rent-a-bike shops and ferry. Do not rent bikes from the hotel. they will charge you 80 bht per day for old nroken bikes. Instead go back to the train station and rent a bike from there (30-40 bht). You can also take a ferry (at the end of the road just in front of the train station). It will take you and your bike to the other side of the river, on the city island, for 4 bht. Beware it closes at 8pm.
