Good front desk service Checkout isn't till 11pm. House keeping kept trying to come in before 9am , kept waking us up twice!
Breakfast was delicious, beds were adjustable, room had great amenities, very clean, greatly enjoyed my stay The hallways were a little loud
The location is excellent for Austin downtown activities Poor Internet connection
Convenient location $16 a plate for breakfast with no warning. $30 mandatory valet with no warning.
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was close to the location for the wedding we were attending.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful here and the price was better than most hotels in the city. We really enjoyed our stay here! Valet parking is pricey
The staff was amazing. Very nice and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect for what we wanted. The room was a bit muggy and humid.
Very close to downtown clubs and restaurants. Good restaurant on 18th floor. Safe area. Very tiny pool. Really it was the same size as the spa. It was just for cooling off.
The place was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was excellent and the location is great if you want to hit the downtown Austin touristy stuff (which is plentiful). The bathroom was extremely small (you had to step outside the bathroom to dry off), and rather weirdly, the toilet was shallow -- which I mention because you WILL get wet using this toilet. Very uncomfortable for a man. Never seen a toilet like that, and I hope to never see another one again. The AC didn't work well and was a bit noisy.
Location and price. The front desk person was not accommodating. Had booked a king bed for my wife and I and at check in was simply told they don't have one and that we would need to take a room with 2 double beds instead if her upgrading us to a different room w a king. Upon arrival at our room, the keys did not work and then had to move rooms
Great location for access to entertainment. Excellent buffet breakfast to tide us through the day. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cigarette butts in surrounding walkway near the river. Nearby ash tray. People are pigs. Sofa bed sheets pretty rough.
Good room nice both room
I loved everything about this hotel, from the valet to the hotel staff, great service all around.
You can walk to all the action in downtown Austin Small parking garage - can't fit a big pickup truck - had to park elsewhere and even those lots were tough...but that's Austin for you...they would like the whole world to drive tiny electric cars :)
Room was pretty much brand new. Staff was really nice. Location was great. It was a bit pricey, but that week all the hotels in Austin were priced high.
- Free breakfast - Complementary Happy hour - Complementary Snacks/brown bags
Parking is 31 per night, then there is tax and tipping valet. Added about $90 to our 2 night stay.
the location and the pool the parking with the valet service is quite expensive
The staff and location were awesome! They double charged me for parking but fixed it immediately when I pointed it out.
The staff is very courteous and welcoming. The location is great if you want to enjoy a night on the town without having to drive. The rooms look nice and were clean. Parking says $29 a day for guests (actually $37.89 after all fees). I was charged for valet parking, which I never used so I had to call and dispute it. There was a party going on down the hall which did not bother us, until we got a voicemail saying we were going to get kicked out if we get another noise complaint in the morning from management on the first night. We decided to stay away from the hotel for as long as possible to be safe. We asked for a specific room type. Just in case, called the hotel before we arrived to make sure it was ready. They confirmed everything was ready. Once we arrived, they put us in a different room than requested and said it was the best they could do.
I was able to book the room right before KW Mega Camp at a great rate. It's right next to the Convention center and close enough to 6th Street. It could have come with a fridge instead of having to request it and bottled water.
Location, Staff, and Comfy Expensive Valet.
Helpful, friendly staff. Sundries shop open 24 hours. Housekeeping sometimes didn't supply enough shampoo for 2 people.
Double charged me.
Interiors are super nice and clean. The room itself is spacious and comfortable. Staff was accommodating with all our requests. As other peoole mentioned, you probably will be passing by the homeless shelter anytime you travel South (rainey, 6th, the river). It didn't feel dangerous but I probably would be nervous walking past there alone at night.
When they were dealing with challenges related to the new construction including poor hot water supply in my room. They rose to the challenge of some construction challenges with a new building and quickly got me moved to a new room and were empathetic and understanding.
The hotel was clean and modern. This may sound weird, but the lighting in the bathroom made me feel like a model from a face wash ad. Close to lots of entertainment, which can be a negative depending on the night. One bar is loud enough to hear on floor 8 One of the front desk workers had an attitude at check-in(on top of other issues related to check-in beyond that). There was no fridge or microwave, so I ended up throwing away a lot of food, which made me feel bad since we were next to a homeless shelter
Centrally located for attending Austin events Long time (~5 minutes) to receive 'hot water'; traces of shower mildew on shower door (by bottom hinge); long dark hair on floor mat for shower (I have short blonde/grey hair)
Location, bathroom, proximity to a couple of good restaurants
n/a valet parking and bottle water.
Clean, easy check in, very close to central Austin -
Great Staff, nice, new clean rooms. Location. Expect to be followed by someone homeless when walking between 6th and 8th street on Red River. We had a guy follow us into the convention center and had to be removed by security. For the first time in Austin, I was worried about our safety.
The front desk guy, was very helpful. The bathroom shower was disgusting. I have pictures to prove it. Water backed up and when we lifted the metal covering, it was covered with hair and other junk. It was filthy. Also the valet was a joke. No other option either. We waited over 15 minutes.
It was a good location and the rooms were clean The walls of the room were very spin. We could hear conversations on both sides of us and in the hall all night long. Also, the valet miss placed our vehicle and took 40 minutes to find it making us late for
Beautiful hotel, close to sixth street bars and across the street from Stubbs BBQ. Very helpful friendly staff, nice bar in lobby. The only drawback is it is near a homeless shelter but easy and safe to walk to and from without passing the shelter.
Valet attendants never in front, hotel seem New but poorly maintained (dirty walls, chips on doors), sheets had human and animal hair in them, hair on floor in walk in shower, there's a homeless shelter within a block where the homeless hang out.

Clean, new, friendly staff, great location!& accommodated all of my requests! Excellent stay - My only gripe was parking! WAY too expensive for 'valet only'... I've had less expensive valet daily rates at the W hotel and Ritz - Carlton Hotels I've stayed in in the past.
Staff was very helpful, place was clean, well located across the street from the Driskill and at the start of dirty sixth. Pretty easy to get around with walking, bus or taxi. Overall I would strongly recommend this place for single travelers looking for a hostel experience in Austin, cant imagine they will find anything better Would be nice if there were drapes that covered the bed like I have had at other hostels and power outlets next to each bed so when you are on the top bunk it's easier to charge your phone. Also, the lockers could be a tiny bit bigger, not that they were small, but my bag was a regular airline bag and if the locker was just a tiny bit bigger I could have fit the entire thing in there (thats what she said)
