I liked staying at this hotel. The hotel staff speaks English. Good various breakfast, which starts from 6.30, what is very convenient if you visit Turku for business. Good facilities: fast Internet, tv, sauna, playroom. Clean and spacious rooms. The hotel location is also quite good. The windows of my room was in front of another building, hence, the view from the windows was poor.
Fast easy & friendly checkin was good. I also liked the sauna on the second floor. The room was small & facing another building, so one would not want to look out of the window. I did not like the location of the hotel either.
We enjoyed the breakfasts and using the sauna, and the room was comfortable enought to relax after sightseeing. Internet connection was good too. It was hot, we missed air-conditioning and the ability to open the windows at least.
I have stayed in several hotels in Turku before; this was my first time in Cumulus, and I was pleasantly surprised by the cmfort and peacefulness of the room. The bed was extremely comfortable (important at my age!), and all facilities in the room were good. There was an excellent breakfast table, and it was served in a large, well-lit room overlooking the street. It has an excellent location, in the town centre, but within easy walking distance of the main sightseeing places of the town. It is clearly used to catering for families - I never saw so many babies in one hotel! Perfect for family breaks, but also well-accustomed to catering for the business traveller.
The location, staff and canniness of rooms is excellent. Nice sauna which is also free and good breakfast. On the whole - a nice hotel.
good location, friendly stuff, free of charge parking, good breakfast
Good Business Hotel -
Good location, nice view, comfortable bed, good breakfast, wifi internet access included. The orange juice at breakfast could have been better
the service was excellent in terms of the behaviour of the hotel staff. Also the breakfast was quite satisfactory. the room was not in such a proper condition as hotel rooms are supposed to be.
Good Restaurant for Dinner; quiet Location, but in center of City; 70years building, but rooms new and very nice The served coffee for breakfast was poor, also the coffee from the machine,
Loved room size and comodiousness. Modern clean room overlooked river.breakfast excellent. No
Good location and great breakfast The house keeping could have been better
good breakfast, great location It had 2 twin beds put together and not one single bed. Very annoying if you are a couple because you keep falling in the crack when you want to cuddle. A call to the office said i could upgrade to the 350€ suite (easily negotiated to 250€) suite with sauna. I said no.
Good for a business trip, good location next to river walk.
Close to the city of Turku
Good location. The Sauna was ridiculously small and no swimmingpool. The wifi wasn't working very reliably.
Pleasant staff, good breakfast, excellent location, clean comfortable room would have liked a kettle and teabags in my room
The room was very quiet, central location, wi-fi connection, friendly staff There wasn't any fridge in our room.
Breakfast Buffet with so many choices.
Obliging, helpful and friendly staff in reception and restaurant. Early breakfast availability was great. Windows opened. Certainly recommend it.
The room is very modern and clean. And the location is great, only few minutes to the market square.
The room was clean, really quite and spacious; the breakfast buffet was huge. The position of the hotel is very good because it's walking distance from every attraction in the city centre.
Great breakfast (herring, cheeses, sallads, fruit, cereals, cakes). Completely reasonable rooms, although not large. Free wifi. Very good value for your money. The hotel is located in a quiet courtyard one block off the Market Square (Kauppatori), it could not have been better. I have nothing to complain about.
I needed the room only for sleeping, and it was quiet and comfort for that. The breakfast was better than in small hotels in general (as always).
The breakfast was quiet good. The staff was helpful, when we asked some information.
Good breakfast, no problem for parking. Family room was too small, and had one mattress on the floor. Room was also too hot.
Breakfast was good! The hotel room looks like in a bunker.
to noisy. Noise from street.
Telephone calls from the room were very expencive!
The location close to the market square is good. Lots of shopping opportunities and nice restaurants nearby. The hotel is also easy to reach by car. Uncomfortable beds. Noisy room. Lack of air condition. Not quite the Scandic standard I'm used to.
Staff was very friendly The level of breakfast was poor. Almost everything was already finished at 10.00 o'clock on Sunday morning.
Very good service, fantastic rooms and garden - all rooms looking different and furnished with old style, thew owner talking to customers in the morning in the lobby
Pretty old building, good breakfast, clean room, free wifi
Friendly atmosphere, helpful staff and good breakfast. Excellent location - 5 to 10 minutes to City center, yet the hotel is in a very quiet street.
The location is perfect especially for those travelling by train. The hotel's atmosphere is cosy and warm, the Reception staff is highly helpful and friendly. The breakfast and tableware are very good. The rooms were not done properly and the towels were not changed, bur we were explained that was temporary as the permanent staff was on vacation. We were offered appologies but not any discount on that :)
atmosphere it hasn`t kitchen
Cosy room and lounge, helpful staff, excellent location, nice parrot
I loved the individual decor of my room - such a nice change from staying in the big chain hotels. I also enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing hot bath instead of the normal invigorating shower (I needed to relax after the walk from the ferry terminal). Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the tuneful parrot was good fun. A pleasant location too. I wish I had arranged to stay longer.
The hotel and garden terrace were beautiful and the staff was always accommodating and helpful. We loved sitting out with coffee in the morning and wine in the evening, watching for the garden hedgehog. Although we liked that the hotel is situated in a quiet and pretty neighborhood a short walk from the train station, it is a long uphill climb to get back there in the evening from the city center.
It is a modern, clean, well accessible hotel. The buffet breakfast was abundant, contained also vegetables. In the room was a little bit chilly.
Good service, if you arrive outside opening hours there's a good arrangement for the key. Early breakfast, good for if you need ship from Turku.
quiet hotel, good for buisness
As expected. very clean. Good bed. The room temperature was too high. Not possibility to open a window. Apparently the temperature control of the heater, electronic control system, did not work correctly.
We stayed here for a one night. Hotel is very clear (like everything in Finland) and comfortable. It's closed to city bus station, so it's easy to get to sea port or airport.
Nice personel. Poor breakfast, small room. Slow internet connection.
Location is enough good. Cleaness of room, there were a lot of hair in shower, also on the top of toilet bowl. And one big black hair on sink. Also I booked a double room, but got single with extra bed, which was very short and my foots were above edge. Breakfast also were very poor. The price is too high for this level.
Good location, 10 minutes from the centre square, bus station right across the hotel. Breakfast was sufficient. Quite clean. The reception was not working 24/7, no telephone in the room, no bath tub, really bad and cheap hair dryer (it takes a long time to dry your hair), room was quite small, too expensive for the overall services.
nice location, very helpful ladies at reception, spa - is everything for a kid :), restaurant Havanna - we like it very strange room-cleaning services. the room was not clean
The waterpark Too much people but due to fact that this is family hotel, hence acceptable
Good breakfast. Kind staff.
SPA and pools are great. Rooms not so confortable.
Water park is not bad, . it is not convinient that it is not possibl to pay for the car parking at the hotel. and it takes time to wait for the elevator.
ready to help staff, no need to change clothes when visiting spa-center 1.Fire exit on the 4th floor was closed !!! ( I checked it in the morning after the test fire alarm on 05/12/09) 2. There's no kettle in the room
The room we booked could sleep 3 people. We did not like that the hotel had no staff. We were traveling with limited wifi since coming from the U.S. and did not receive code for doors. We had to call for help to get codes and that was difficult. Also, parking was a problem. Elevator was dirty.
I liked the central location, had mini fridge and microwave. Not for single female travelers or travelers outside Finland. NO FRONT DESK! No phone in the room for emergency. I did not have cell phone access in Finland - impossible to get the code to enter hotel - my room without it.
Excellent location just across the street from Viking terminal with frequent bus connection to central Turku. Children's playroom and 'sweet' personnel.
Location near port. Nice clean room. Good value Not possible to open windows.
It is a comfortable place to live. Though it is somewhat far from the city centre, the transport is convenient. The hotel is near the habour and there is a castle within walking distance. No
Hotel is interesting, location is quite exotic for Turku, good place for a quiet adventure or for romance.
We had an amazing experience at Best Western Hotel Seaport. The staff was incredibly accommodating to our needs as foreigners taking our first steps in Finland. Thank you to Jani the bartender in particular who went beyond anything we'd ever expect by giving us information and advice on where to go and what to see in Turku - and then following up each day with us on our adventures. Truly personal. Made us feel at home. In fact, we did not want to leave. The location was so peaceful out by the ship port and wonderful Turku castle. We felt safe, comfortable, and happy at this hotel.
Breakfast was great. I believe airport shuttle has to be arranged in advance, because it was definitely not forthcoming at the airport. The website advertised a 24 hour desk, yet the door was locked at 11p.m. I was let in by another guest, and had to search out the desk clerk who was cleaning a sauna. Advertised free wireless, but television and internet both cost 20 euros.
only available hotel in town distanst, beds were not comfortable
Very large rooms, and very quiet too. Free 24/24 cable internet. Friendly staff. Free outside car park just in front of the hotel. Not far away from city centre. I walked and it took me 30 min. Breakfast is basic but ok.
sauna The room ventilation was out of order, and it was impossible to open the window in our room on the ground floor.
Comfort and location is perfect! Too much expensive
Possibility to use the swimming pools Room temperature was too hot during the night
nice room, good spa center and smart free parking, wonderfoul breakfast Wireless very slow and restaurant closed on tuesday...very strange
the location of the hotel is great, surroundings are nice, a lot of possibilities for leisure activities, stuff is attractive, breakfast is perfect. room cleaning could be better and change of linen should be more regular
Very nice breakfast and also in the city center!
The quite atmosphere
Good location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room Street noise at Eerikinkatu, especially at night (room overlooked the street); restaurant smell in the corridors, weak and often overloaded wireless network
Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Sauna!! Can't think of anything...
Everything is good about this holel in terms of facilities and services. The room is spacious, staff are very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely recommend this to others. It is centrally located and just take 5mins walked to the city centre. But if you're going to take bus at the Long Distance Station, it's a bit far away. It takes you 20mins walk which cause a bit trouble especially when you're with your baggage.
The room was big and the beds were good. The bathroom is a bit old The sorrounding....is close to a social center and there were odd people in the street
Free tea, coffee and tasty treats in the room Slow lifts
Good quality, cheap and nothing big to complain about! The toilet paper wasn't high quality, bed wasn't as good as own.
Stuffs were very helpful and professional. The room was a bit small, furnitures were bit worn out, but it was very clean. Breakfast was nice. I especially love there were fresh berries. The hotel is located just a few blocks from the central market square, but it was very quiet. My stay was very comfortable. They offered you two different types of pillows and I fell in love with the largeer one. I could sleep very comfortably. You have to take a taxi from the bus stop from Helsinki, but it costs 10euros even midnight. If they have a small work desk in a room, it was great.
Location is very convenient in the centre city of Turku. It is old hotel, however, well kept up to date.
Clean rooms, close to the City Center, friendly and helpfull staff. Best chice for backpack tourists.
Location is good. restrooms were awfull
it was good to be there over two days. the breakfast was too late between 09.00-10.00
To have a private room and wireless internet Close to no privacy, small rooms, lousy breakfast. No value for money.
The location is ok. To cold in the room. The staff who don't understand very well english. The breakfest is not diversified
Staff was cooperative and nice Nothing
It was clean and very well located. The bed was small but comfortable. I had to leave at 08.45 Saturday morning and although the breakfast was only served from 09.00 onwards, the lady at the reception promised I can have it at 08.30. However, there was nothing next morning, the breakfast window was closed and no food was available. That was not nice.
The prospect of negotiability and of course the price. The limited amount of rooms allthough a wide warriety of options
Hotel Harriet was way too expensive!!! Save your money and choose some other hotel. Don't pay for nothing. Breakfast was terrible and there wasn't toilet paper etc. This is my first time in my life i complain about a hotel, but this was a total robber!
the location from the train station and the refrigerator in the room The rooms were very very hot and the tv did not work. I was lucky to have my own bathroom but the people who had to share one were very very very loud.
