Very comfortable rooms and excellent location. The hotel was quiet. The buffet breakfast was very good. Inexperienced junior staff in the reception and restaurant.
Steigenberger rests on their laurels in Rostock, living from their name, rather than on actual service and quality. Our rooms were 35° when we arrived late at night as, despite having no air condidioning, no one had aired the rooms. The night manager and staff were very helpful, but we had the impression that we had to figuratively twist the arms of several of the day staff in the restaurant and at the reception in order to get any kind of service. Seems to have many new staff. There were two different sets of towels in the bathroom, something which can happen at home, but shouldn't happen in a 4star hotel.
room too warm asked for a quiet room. Got one at the street side where I was confronted with building activities of the neighbours until 1 am and starting again at 8 am. The reception told me afterwards that there are more quiet rooms (garden side) but not for one-night visitors. I recommend them to change their rules wlse I will not come back
excellent facilities, friendly staff and easy for routes to get about. no, it was excellent
Nice - big room with wonderful bed - Thank you
Good breakfast. Clean, nice room with big bathroom. Nice personel.
Good location, great room, friendly staff, garage and nice breakfast. Nothing to complain..
High Standard, Perfect location, excelent staff, excelent breakfast buffet
The smoke odour in the room was quite heavy
The location at the Neuer Markt was excellent. It was easy to reach from the train station on either tram 5 or 6. The elevators worked well and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Umbrellas were loaned for a 10 euro deposit. The hotel facade was striking, and it was easy to pick out the golden sun from the steeple of St. Peter's church. The breakfast bouquet was overpriced, but there was not much else to chose from in the vicinity
Excellent staff (very professional and friendly), location and also services as they are part of the Arcona group you can access to the other hotel for wellness center.
Great location, great staff. Super breakfast Parking was in their sister hotel across the road
Quiet simple hotel with reasonable rate. Very kind service even for those who don't speak any Germany. Separate areas for non smoking persons.
Die kleine Sonne is a very nice hotel in the center of Rostock. The stuff is very helpful an friendly. The rooms are very pretty and clean. Beds are comforable and the bathroom was modern and big engought.
Tidy hotel in city center, very nice staff. Room towards the street a bit noisy due to trams... slept good regardless.
The location and comfort. It was a great place to stay.
free breakfast, very good room rate.
I was transferred to Steigenberger, Hotel Sonne
Very good hotel, very nice and helpful staff. The hotel is situated in a nice place in the center of the city. Very good breakfast.
Nice staff, breakfast was great, rooms were quiet and clean and location is perfect (city center)
Nice surroundings. Central to the City. Noice from the street in the nigttime,
TriHotel Rostock was one of the best stays in a long time. My wife and I had a two person bedroom. Spacious, great clean bathroom, gigantic LCD TV, comfortable and clean linnen and quiet environment. Included in the room was also access to the pool, sauna and steam rooms, which were absolutely great. Breakfast was for us not included and came to 10 euro pp. But well worth it! Absolutely great choices, fresh cooked, nothing microwaved and enough to skip lunch that day. The hotel is located in a very nice location just outside the main center, but with the day-ticket of the bus, only about 4 minutes from the center. Also, the S-bahn will take you with the same day-ticket, no extra costs, to Wernermunde where the beaches are great!
Friendly staff Extra cost for internet.
No AC in the rooms. It was dead hot.
Very helpful and kind staff. We can recommend the "Papillon" restaurant.
Nice reception, easy to find, clean and nice environment. The receptionist did not ask if I prefer a room with air conditioning. Upon check out, I explicitly asked whether there are rooms _with_ air conditioning and it turns out that there are such rooms. Why did not she inform me about this ??
In minibar was any alcohol.
International hotet with experiance according to expectations Avoid the too expensive breakfast and have a good one downtown for half the price
Great choice and great transportation links (takes 5 min by bus, and stop is right in front of the hotel). Pillows could be harder.
restaurant was good.Spa was close and convenient Boasts of having use of spa but had to ask twice before we got a robe and then we were refused towels to loan in the spa.Had we known we would have brought our own towels along!Very few (apart from reception) spoke or understood english -not very smart for such a luxurious hotel-would have expected it to have been more international...
Clean, comfortable, friendly Very near noisy main road
Late arrival after ferry from Helsinki. Fast check-in and good garage for car. Good rooms. Good breakfast. Some trafic noise at night. Windows must be closed.
Easy to find hotel. Nice, modern rooms at a very reasonable price (early booking and payment in advance).
The best value for its rate. Free WiFi, parking, 24 hours access if booked. Large double room with TV.
Reception staff, maps, fruit, coffee The distance is a bit far from the historic centre to walk in the rain.
Helpful staff, large rooms, quiet surroundings, location near the railway station, relativly cheap prises, access to internet free of charge. Parking place far from hotel, no fridge in the rooms, reception closes after 10 pm, no dinner possibilities nearby after 10 pm.
Modern design and comfortable rooms. Location is perfect in the middle of Rostock and it is still easy to park your car.
The location near to shopping and near to restaurants. An international very good breakfast with chamoagne. Our room was very hot and the cooling system was not so good.
Very clean and in the heart of the city centre. Easy to reach The room windows side on offices or something... vey close that I didn't feel "at ease"
Very comfortable stay pl. provided enternet free
The staff and location Some problem to understand to fin the hotel
Location and facilities were excellent.
quietness, roomy pay TV issue. There sholud be extra warning, if you start watch pay chanel. We accidentaly switched to pay TV chanel, was not intended. Extra costs.
Hotel is located in the middle of the city. Clean and big enough rooms. We had check in at 15:00 but were allowed to stay from about 8:00 (as soon as we arrived).. Small pool table, not the standard size and not enough space to play and move the stick. No fridge in the rooms. breakfast not so varieted with not so many warm food (I only saw bacon and eggs)
It even had an ice macine Neine
Ease of internet access, breakfast buffet, staff friendliness and professionalism Quality of food on dinner menu........very poor
Location in Rostock was excellent. The hotel staff were very friendly and informative. The hotel was attractive, clean, and comfortable. No, I was not dissatisfied.
Radisson BLU Hotel Rostock is good both for a day of shopping and for a day on the beach. Warnemunde in not so far and easy to reach by car as well as other good quality beaches. It was a bit strange that cleaning of our room happened around 17:00. At this time we would expect the room to be already cleaned and towels changed.
The Radisson blu Hotel is located in the heart of Rostock within easy walking distance of shops, offices and the sailng harbour. This is a modern hotel with excellent facilities as you would expect from the Radisson Group. Safe underground parking is also available. In my opinion this is the best hotel in Rostock. No
Luxurious facilities, very comfortable and right on the tram line. Staff did not know how to get a tram or bus to the ferry terminal and we arrived too late to do our own research. The standard answer was get a taxi. Which we did but once at the ferry terminal discoverd the number 42 bus arrives at 7am in time for the 8am ferry to Sweden.
The location with easy access to the city, the harbour and the old town. The room very confortable and clear. The staff professional and friendly. The breakfast is very expensive.
Nice hotel, good location, friendly and professional staff received a smoking room, wanted a non-smoking room
Perfectly clean, friendly and efficient staff. Excellent dining in house. NA
This is a ty[pical German guesthouse; a pub/restaurant with some bedrooms available. It was easy to find, it was quite picturesque in appearance, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the dinner menu was reasonably broad and the food of good quality and portion. The hot and cold buffet breakfast was very generous in what was available and it was also of good quality. I shall return here when I am in the area again.
The location is perfect if transiting the area just off the motorway with a garage near by.Room was clean and food in the restaurant was nice.Good hot and cold breakfast choice. Mini bar didn't work. This would not put me off staying here though.
Owner was very nice and helpfull. Free WLAN (on request) and the owner has also a good restaurant where you can have very cheap and good breakfast and dinner. We certainly can recommend this appartment.
The studio apartment was clean, comfortable and well equiped for self-catering. Having parking and internet access were an appreciated bonus. It is adjacent to trams and a railway station so is very convenient for getting to the old centre of Rostock as well as travelling to the beach resort. The staff are very helpful, but there is only part-time access to an English speaker.
Very clean room with excellent facilities; Cozy bed, tv, nice IKEAish atmosphere. Close to the S-Bahn station and a mall. Accept only cash, you get the keys in the casino next door.
It was clean, and quiet as it was a walk from the centre. It had a tranquil feel at the time of year we were there. Access to wired internet. No coffee/tea making facilities which was a surprise.
Free use of the internet, hotel's 'Opel Corsa' as well as the free pick up service between Train Station and hotel.
Very good, clean and big room. The designe was great and the staff very kind. The parking posibility
Great location, fabulous staff, spacious room and incredible value for dollar. Parking was a challenge
we likes our large room and the kind way the hotel staff handled no
Beautiful old building / hotel near center with cosy athmosfear and nice personal
Staff could not be more accommodating; short walk to city centre; supermarket and main railway station close by. Did not appear to have private car parking; free on street close by providing you could find a space.
obliging staff, very good breakfast, clean and new furnitured room, good price for value location of the hotel, near tram railway
Lovely old senators house. Friendly staff and breakfast prepared like a gourmet meal. Half way between station and city centre. Nice large room. no
if you're fed up with boring corporate chain hotels, stay here,a well restored older property with lots of character and very helpful and friendly staff, the breakfast is very good and an absolute bargain. it wasn't a problem for me but it is 10-15 minute walk into the main part of town
Near town center Parking for car Small room No English-language tv news channel, Little info in English
Quiet room. Possibility of car parking. Cordial service. I would recomand it
When arriving at the hotel we had an automatic check in facility and did not see any hotel staff until the next morning at breakfast. We were allocated the top floor which had 65 steps with no lift facility. If we were an elderly couple we would not have made it up to our room. The room was small, clean and had a kitchenette. We had reserved parking, but this was not clear on our information sheet as to where to park. We did park our car, but on check out could have parked in garage, not in an open space in a lane way. The breakfast was simple and plentiful which was inclusive in the room rate. The difficulty in getting luggage from the designated parking area to the room - with the steep stairwell.
cool, not for me. ?
Good location for sigthsseing in Rostock and Warnemünde.Cosy and quite area without traffic.
We were just overnight. Room was good, pillow was not a pillow :-)
Cosy, calm, good location. I have missed some information in English in the room.
It was nere the center and the room was big and a great toilett. And the staff was helpful. A bigger tv and that all the cannels was working. It was lots of stairs. Maybe a shower cabin.
Friendly staff. Very quiet. Nice rooms. Though located in the old town, it's a ten minute walk to the pedistrian street and another ten min to the restaurant and pub area near Doberaner Platz.
The staff was extremely professional and it every detail was important
only the breakfast the room was too small, at the pictures on web the rooms are different. The payment of 110e per night is not equal to the facilities and the environment.
Very pleasant hotel, room with refrigerator, TV, and with direct exit to the garden.
Good service at the restaurant. Food was ok. Breakfast very good, with a lot of variety,. hostess friendly and outgoing. Nice countryside with horses and storks on the meadows. The Rittmeister has more a motel than a hotel athmosphere because the rooms and the breakfast facility are in a separate building than the restaurant and reception area adjacent to the parking area. The vinothek at the restaurant is overrated. The bathrooms sort of stuffy. Problems with W-Lan. 90% of the time there was no signal or weak reception. Pets were not so well received.
The kindness of the personnel involved in all the aspects of my booking and staying. Just one simple thing. Try to make all the hotel space wireless for internet connection. More practical that ' s it.
I used both the resturant and the spa/gym which was good.
Efficient and friendly service from baggage handling through check-out. The room maids and the porters deserve special mention. The swimming pool is too small for this size hotel and the schedule that is kept there interferes with the comfort of the guests. This could be a reason for us to look for alternatives in Warnemünde.
the view no
It's location to the beach The smell of cigerette (and/or cigar) smoke. Very little information (eg menus, Wellness facilities) was readily available in English.
Everything superb hotel. No.
Facilities Yes - children could only use the pool for 2 hours during the day (even the kids pool). The rest was dedicated to adults only.
I was there on business, and did not have time to enjoy the hotel fully, as I came late and left early. The breakfast was excellent there was not wi-fi in the room, but only cable.
The beautiful room, the nice and friend people, the see view and Spa-World... No
Wonderful place, a lot of facilities, helpful staff, very nice bars and restaurants The shops were nice, but more "Moderate priced shops" would be nice - Tiffany's prices are a bit high for holiday shopping
Place, Spa, rooms, breakfast Not enough information in English!!!
the strategic situation in the baltic sea and the flowing of ships in seaport.
The children's boat club is excellent; children can stay for a few hours or the whole day and receive lunch for a small fee. Our son really enjoyed his few hours there, and this facility makes the hotel very attractive for families. There is also a great play park. The hotel itself is well presented and the food is excellent. The first room we were given was small and had no view of the sea, but after speaking to reception we were relocated and the second one was wonderful. The staff were very helpful, particularly porters and dining staff. The spa was great too. We waited for 25 minutes to check out - in a hotel with over 300 rooms there were only 2 receptionists at one time. Some of the staff did not speak or understand English very well. Restaurants were quite expensive
Staff was very helpful, polite, always greeted with a smile. Maitre d' at the Italian restaurant takes pride in his job and has an enjoyable and fun demeanor, and food and service were excellent. Liked the various themed restaurants. Server at the wine bar gave me "blind" tastings so I could guess the wines served. One of the few hotels in Germany that delivered on its claim of 5 star service. No WiFi in Residences and no cables available because it was a busy weekend. Was told the best restaurant was Marios to celebrate our anniversary and never a mention of Der Butt Gourmet restaurant, which would have been more our style. A remote bar on the beach with cocktail service would be an upgrade.
Very nice location, expecially for those who like ships going in and out of the harbour. Breakfast food and location are super. Spa is nice.
The location, pool, restaurants, free ferry and comfortable room. The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly at all times. Excellent.
