I would highly recommenced for a couple wanting to get a way for a few days
Prós: Excellent hotel, very clean and peaceful. It had everything we were looking for
Turks and Caicos is an amazing location for a vacation. We had a wonderful vacation. We arrived to the hotel at 1:30PM, which is a bit earlier than check-in. As soon as we arrived to the hotel we were greeted by Louis who assisted us with our luggage from our rental car. I went and parked my rental car and my wife went to check us into the hotel. I parked the car and walked over to the front desk and everything was ready for us thankfully. After that long trip to get there we really needed to get this vacation started. The individual from the front desk took us to our room. He gave us a quick tour of the facilities and joked around with us about our room telling us a story that the this room hasn't been occupied for 6 months, because the last person that was in there was so pissed that he paid for an oceanfront room, but only got a partial ocean view. It turns out that they actually upgraded us to a larger room that was absolutely amazing. It was a great surprise! The room is huge. It's basically a 1 bedroom apartment. The room is modern and everything was new and high quality. All top brands in the kitchen from (Kohler, Bosch, Cuisine Art, etc..). The kitchen has everything you can think of in it. The room had a balcony with a great view of beautiful grace bay. The daily breakfast that is included in the room cost is good. It does get a bit boring after a while, but they have all the basics (omelette station, fresh fruit, fresh cheese, olives, yogurt, cold cuts, bagels, bread, croissants, danishes, potatoes, pancakes, French toast, juices, coffee, and tea). We dined at the restaurant at night and the food was very good. I ordered this meat parpadella and my wife ordered the tuna, which were both fabulous. The beach is amazing obviously. The staff on the beach is amazing. They are very friendly and helpful. Louis on the beach took care of us everyday except for his day off. He really made our stay more enjoyable with his service. Amazing!
Prós: The service and staff was amazing. The rooms are very modern and clean and the staff does a great job keeping the rooms clean.
Prós: We really loved the Regent Grand. The staff was really friendly, the ground are extremely well taken care of. The pool was gorgeous and kept at a pleasant 85F. Perfect proximity to the beach, even more perfect location in town. Lots of shops and restaurants to walk to. Most of the other hotels aren't in that little downtown stretch and are off on their lonesome in a less developed part of town. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and would reccomend to everyone we know.
Contras: The pool bar bites are pricey, all the food on the island is pricey. Recommend a quick trip to the grocery store to grab some snacks to store in your room.
Prós: The staff was extremely friendly and professional. They were very attentive and could answer any of our questions as first-time visitors. We would definitely go back to the Regent Grand.
Contras: The on-site restaurant had a limited breakfast menu, but the wait staff was friendly.
Prós: The entire staff could not have been more accomadating and they truly seem to enjoy their jobs.
Contras: I think they should enforce the adults only area rules more strictly.
Prós: I had a great time at the Windsong and already plan on returning. As a woman traveling by herself, I always felt safe and comfortable, which was my first priority. I stayed in a standard room, which I believe is their smallest floor plan, but it was plenty of space for me and a great value for the money. I made some friends and saw the two-bedroom suite they were staying in, and it was gorgeous--I would definitely consider coming back with friends and getting one of those.
The hotel is a quick ride from the airport and is right on a gorgeous stretch of beach. I never had a problem getting a beach chair of a spot by the pool, no matter what time of day I came down from my room. It's within easy walking distance on the beach of several other hotels, if you want restaurant variety, plus the popular Thursday night fish fry.
It's a smaller resort, which was exactly what I wanted; the other guests were mostly adults, but there were a couple families with small kids. If you're looking to avoid the swarm of kids that sometimes comes with a beach vacation, this is a good, affordable, really nice spot to do it in.
Contras: I don't really have anything bad to say. The food at the restaurant wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. I wish the standard rooms had bathtubs instead of only stand-up showers, but the shower was so big that it wasn't as much of bummer as I thought it might be when I booked. Overall, a great place go stay and strong value for the money.
Prós: The staff was very attentive and welcoming. The layout of the resort was great. You didn't have to walk forever to get to the beach or to the restaurants and neighboring resorts were close by enough that you could walk to their restaurants.
Contras: No extended checkout and no heads up on the state of T and C airport which was a mess.
Prós: Wonderful property, with free access to sister hotels Alexandria and Beach House. Huge rooms and great views, food was good. Very nice staff and clean peaceful environment, with tranquil beach. Beach is man made but just as turquoise and nice and the pool overlooks the ocean, while the sister properties had natural beaches that were spectacular but the pool was separate. It was great to have both options. AMAZING grocery market on site with everything you could possibly need, very accommodating to children. The free shuttles to the other hotels were great.
Contras: Only 1 restaurant was open for dinner in the low season, but other options were available nearby/at sister properties. No room service and mosquitos were pretty bad due to rain the week prior, but take out was available from the restaurant and there were no mosquitos on our 3rd floor balcony. Wish they had an airport shuttle, but Ramona at the front desk was extremely helpful.
Prós: Reasonably priced. Very clean. Great staff. We loved the swim up bar and atmosphere outside. The room we stayed in was absolutely incredible. There was all new amenities with washer and dryer, oven, dish washer, flat screen tvs, wifi, stocked kitchen.
Contras: Very little beachfront. Food took a while at Fire and Ice.
We stayed in RWI resort for three nights and for one night there was no water supply in bathroom and kitchen tap. It was the most embarrassing night during our stay. We did snorkeling and we're at beach whole day in sun and by the time we came home to refresh there was no water.
Contras: Couldnt provide us water to shower or drink for 14hrs.
Prós: Absolutely beautiful setting it's hard to beat the private beach in front of the hotel.
Contras: I think the staff could use a couple lessons in customer service, it often feels like they were troubled by simple requests.
Prós: Overall we were impressed with the Royal West Indies hotel. The rooms feature full kitchen. We had a king bed and a sofa pullout bed both of which were very comfortable. Each apartment features a patio with seating. TVs with cable were available in the living room and the bedroom. It was incredibly spacious -- much more room than we were expecting for a group of 4. They have bikes, kayaks, paddleboards and more for your enjoyment which are all included you just have to sign up for them. The location is prime -- right on the beach in grace bay and walking distance to the grocery store and prime shopping/downtime area. There is also a happy hour at the restaurant from 5-7pm with half-priced drinks. The food was good and not as expensive as most places in Turks and Caicos. Multiple pools and a hot tub were available on site. Would definitely stay here again. Staff were kind and excellent in their customer service.
Contras: Service can be incredibly slow. Our room was often not cleaned until after 3 in the afternoon though the cleaning staff was nice. Towels sometimes weren't available for the beach in the middle of the day. Despite those small things the staff was very friendly and responsive.
Contras: When our flight was cancelled due to Hurricane Erica - Royal West Indies Resort management refused to cancel or reschedule our stay UNLESS we book and PAY for a new stay no later than 2 weeks after the original booking. Only then would they refund the original booking.
Considering there were no flight/ schedules available at that time and managements un trust worthiness. This was a completely unreasonable offer.
Honestly, I have never experienced such sub standard or greedy management in my life.
Prós: The pool was the best part. There was a little shady spot for when it was too hot to be in the sun. It was nice and big and our daughter loved it so much!
Contras: One worker at the towel hut was rude. Limited the number of towels I could take. Ridiculous. The towels are small so 2 per adult and 1 for my toddler didn't seem like I was overdoing it. One towel only covered half the chair.
Prós: the vast number of different things to do for the children such as water slides for the kids, xbox, drop off camp, ice cream/ cotton candy, arts and crafts, ping pong tables etc...
the food was better than i expected at an all inclusive. 16 different restaurants to choose from, from beach side to restaurant setting. Unlimited drinks were very nice. i was very pleased with the whole place.
Contras: I was a bit disappointed with my rooms. When first arrived they said Kayak (where i booked) did not let them know i booked a luxury king walkout and instead put me in a room that was two double beds. I had to show proof and was then put into the correct room the next night. the beds were hard as a rock -that needs to be changed.
Pillows were too soft, i found a roach in my room and my room was so humid cus my a/c wasnt working. housekeeping was quick to fix my a/c and sprayed my room with bug spray. because its access to the outside, there were many mosquitos which kept me awake most of the night.
Prós: Beautiful location...friendly and helpful staff....great entertainment!
Prós: Everything about this place was great - location is close to the beach and all restaurants, shops, bars you'd want to check out. The innkeeper, Ariel, is an amazing host and really gets things done in terms of maintaining the rooms and booking excursions. The inn rooms are spacious and I will definitely return. Overall great stay, highly recommend.
Prós: Jacqueline welcomed us with her beautiful smile and a delicious rum punch. We settled in and enjoyed our 2 day stay with long walks on the beach and dinner in town. Jean Luc is engaging, charming, and helpful with any questions to make our stay enjoyable.
Prós: I loved the front office staff. Very friendly and warm.
Contras: There's nothing to dislike. Room was really clean. Warm athomosphare
Prós: I loved the helpful and genuinely friendly staff. Not only were they helpful but also knowledgeable. They made reservations for us next door at Coyaba and for our rental car. The room was clean and spacious.
Contras: I didn't like the fact that I had to leave.
Prós: Nice room with large balcony and view on pool and palm trees.
Very friendly staff.
Very good value compared to other accommodations on Providenciales
Prós: Eu amei a equipe na recepção. Muito simpática e acolhedora.
Contras: Nada que não tenha gostado. O quarto estava muito limpo. Ambiente acolhedor
Prós: I was a bit skeptical at first as I thought this place might be too good to be true, but I am so beyond happy that we decided to stay at One On Marlin during our trip to Turks and Caicos. Even prior to our arrival, we received a call from Chris, the Butelier, offering shuttle service from the airport. We had already rented a car (definitely recommend it!) and so he promptly sent over directions to the hotel instead.
Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted and offered a drink. We were then shown the room which was everything we could have hoped for with a kitchenette, full bathroom and TONS of storage. Each day we would come home to fresh towels for showering and for the beach. The rooms also come with a cooler and chairs for the beach.
There is a light breakfast served each morning with a member of the staff present to help you select your activities for the day or to offer advice on restaurants/places to visit. Every place Chris recommended we visit was excellent!
We cannot wait to return to One On Marlin for our next visit. We would highly recommend!
Contras: Random but the door to the bathroom was only effective in hiding the person using the bathroom from your eyes, not your ears.
Prós: We stayed here prior to our wedding in T&C and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Upon knowing that we were getting married they sent a bottle of champagne to our room and did everything they could to make sure that we enjoyed ourselves.
Prós: We received a free upgrade to a one bedroom right next to the pool.
Hemingways restaurant was also great. Delicious fish and chips.
The beach was awesome and never too crowded. We could always find a hut and chairs.
Prós: The beach
Contras: There were a lot of cockaroches in the hotel room ! And you can hear people from the room next to you very clearly
Prós: My brother got married on a nearby all inclusive megaplex. That's a) not our style and b) not our budget. The Sands is very comfortable, very friendly, very professional, and down right lovely. My brother said his resort was too much like Disneyland. A 5 minute bike ride to nearby shopping area, we got simple groceries each day, and patronized local businesses. Make sure your trip includes a Thursday pm so you can go to the Fish Fry and hang with the locals. Highly highly highly recommend the conch chowder and pork stew (2 different things) at nearby grocery. Bikes were great! Rode all over the place.
Contras: The resort was fantastic. We loved picking staff for local places to go. TCI, in general, food is expensive (alas we still saved baucoup $$ on this resort). Saw some nasty American tourists. Don't be like them. You're on vacay. Relax for God's sakes.
Prós: Water Sports Equipment included in the cost of the room. Our room had a sitting area, kitchenette which were excellent bonuses. Pool steps from our door. Plenty of shade to ovoid long periods in direct sunlight.
Contras: If I mentioned anything, it would only be picky. Nothing to not like.
Prós: The room has everything for you. Small kitchen , patio and even washer and dryer.
Prós: Quiet w/variety of age groups. Beautiful beach. Great water. Conch dive was fun. Nor as expensive as I thought it was gonna be. Are out for dinner in at other meals.
Contras: Snorkel is far better at Cozumel. At least where they took us. Beach and pool service not great if you are wanting to drink a lot. Plenty if chairs. Umbrellas. Chk your bill one girl at the restaraunt tried to dbl. chrg us. I had a feeling as there was a mess up and they fixed it without probl. The guys were better and more friendly than the women.
Prós: Location, location, location.... it is situated on a relatively quiet section of gorgeous Grace Bay Beach. Since there is not a developed property on either side of the resort it doesn't feel crowded and it feels isolated in a good way. The palapas and beach staff are wonderful. The hobie cats and water boards are included and easily accessible. Our studio had a small kitchenette, which was nice. The room was clean, spacious and well appointed. Our second floor room had a view of the ocean, which was beautiful. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and very helpful. Hemingways restaurant was very convenient as it was right on the edge of the beach. You could sit in the sun on the deck or under a covered area. The food was always delicious so we had breakfast daily and even ordered lunch on the beach. There were two weddings over the weekend but the guests never took over the resort. The pool closest to the beach was lovely and a nice spot to sit at the end of the day. Overall, we thought it was terrific and had a lovely visit. We would definitely recommend it to friends and would come again with our children on another visit. Great spot for a couple to get away.
Prós: Recebemos um upgrade gratuito para um quarto bem ao lado da piscina.
O restaurante Hemingways também foi ótimo. Delicioso peixe e batatas fritas.
A praia era incrível e nunca cheia demais. Sempre encontrávamos uma cabana e cadeiras.
Prós: Wesley (who works at the restaurant and is the sailing instructor) and Tina (the security guard ) and others really went out of their way to make sure anything I needed was provided and that my stay there was excellent. The staff is amazing!
Prós: Beautiful pool area, beautiful beach and water. Close to town for biking.
Contras: Too many people valentines weekend and too many children. We had to leave on Wednesday and noticed all the familys and children left too and we might have enjoyed more adult time and not as many umbrellas on the beach after Wednesday if we had been able to stay the whole week.
Prós: Food was excellent- never had a bad meal.
Great beach with good lounge chair available.
Staff was excellent
Provides dinner on the beach if you prefer
They make great exotic drinks
Room cleaned every day early or later if requested
Contras: Studio room was smaller than expected for the money
Needed more entertainment for the evenings on property
Taxi service was expensive- charged by the person
Prós: The Mango reef that is on the resort had great food. The stay was awesome for our anniversary and honeymoon.
Prós: We travelled to Provo for our ninth wedding anniversary, our first time in the Caribbean since getting married in Antigua. Turks and Caicos is breathtakingly beautiful and Grace Bay is no exception. Ocean Club West fits right into the natural beauty and we couldn't help but feel like we were in paradise. While other resorts on this stretch of beach are more luxurious (and more expensive!) they all share the same beach. Our room was super cute and spacious with a little kitchenette and a very nice bathroom and screened in porch. The pool was great and the whole facility was immaculate! And when we wanted to see how the "other half" lived, we could walk down the beach and grab a drink or dinner at one of the über fancy restaurants or lounges. We plan on going back to Turks and we'll be staying at Ocean Club West.
Contras: Literally the only complaint I had the entire time was that it took our shower a longtime to get hot. And, really, that's just me being impatient.
Prós: Stack washer and dryer could have taken less clothes everyone was very friendly. Scuba diving trip that was fantastic.
