Prós: Main onsen is massive and magnificent! Sand bath experience was memorable. Kaiseki meals were well-organized and excellent!
Contras: Rooms were stuffy as air-conditioning system has been turned off for season. Unable to open windows due to insects. Hotel helped by providing a fan, which helped, but wasn’t totally satisfactory.
Prós: Quiet and relaxing
Contras: A bit dated
Prós: Good onsen and good food
Contras: Limited control for the air conditioner for the temperature
Prós: Sand bath inside hotel
Prós: Great Onsen; Japanese room with sea view was great. Great food
Prós: The baths were great. Indoor, outdoor, over two floors. Very clean. We booked for two nights. On the second day after everyone checked out (10am) and before new guests arrive (3pm, but check-in process means later), we had the baths to ourselves - excellent! The amenities provided (facial wash, toner, moisturizer, all sorts of creams) was of a bigger range and better quality than other onsens. Museum was worth going to.
Contras: - extra payment for sandbath - extra payment for drinks during dinner (juice and soft drinks, not alcohol, and staff did not tell us that we could decline and just have plain water) - the japanese dinner was too bland. Pretty to look at, but was very disappointed with the taste. We've had better kaiseki dinners at other ryokans. We opted for Italian dinner for the next night, it was much better.
Prós: Good dinner and breakfast. Sand bath and onsen is wonderful.
Prós: Trees view onsen
Contras: A little expensive and outdated.

Prós: The location was excellent with fantastic views. The open onsen was nice but not quite equipped.
Contras: Older and limited items at gift shop.
Prós: Hot Spring with good Sea view, Free car park, nice staff
Prós: My best stay in 2 weeks in Japan. Large and beautiful room with a lounge area that overlooked the ocean plus a private bath where I could adjust the water temperature. Old school Japanese ryokan with the grace and service that accompanies it. Two minute walk to the Hot Sand Baths and close to train station. Perfect location and they also rent ebikes. More pricey than other hotels but well worth it.
Prós: the rooftop onsen pool
Contras: the soya sauce smell in my room. The smell in my room was like a big bottle of soya sauce had been spilled in the room before I checked in.
Prós: Easy to visit.

Prós: The sea view is quite good. Staff are friendly and really helpful.
Contras: No shuttle bus between hotel and JR station, need to call taxi. No skin care products provided at changing room. A 3 years old kid is also charged 990 yens for breakfast, not reasonable.
Prós: Atendimento, bom café da manhã, bom quarto, agradável visão pela sacada.

Prós: excellent staff always wearing a smile, spacious clean room and comfortable beds, good half board meals, nice onsen on-site, will come back again.

Prós: Excellent experience at this hotel！
Prós: The room and facilities were more beautiful and well-thought through than I’d imagined, and for Japan that’s saying a lot. They were very attentive, the amenities and little touches were wonderful, and the hotel decor is the perfect wood/tatami/greenery/Japanese style that I love. The food was fantastic.
Contras: I wish I’d hired a car because the area around it looked so good for driving. But that’s not the hotel’s fault and they made it very easy with their free shuttle buses to the train station, their very helpful maps, and Ibusuki tourism has arranged a great hop on hop off bus service which I used.
Prós: The room is spacious
Contras: The 2nd night dinner was better than the 1st night. Food were more variety as expected
Prós: - We can see the sea in the room! The window was wide and clean. - There is bus service to go to the sand onsen from ryokan. - There is private onsen outside of building. It was nice. - Nice and cool Lobby. As you can see in the photo.
Contras: - You have to pay extra money for Private onsen, and can use only 45min. Onsen was nice though. - Train comes once in one hour at the nearest station. It is hard to come by public transportation.
Prós: Room was ok but did not match the outrageous price. There is absolutely nothing that would justify the price.
Contras: Location is on the mainroad. Lobby: worn plastic sofas. Hallways: full of stains on the carpet. Dinner: mediocre. Breakfast: an insult! That kind of breakfast you get at any fastfood restaurant for 1000 yen. An absolut no go. We reserved for two nights, left after one.

Prós: Very nice hotel for the value, definitely recommended. Ibusuki is a nice place too, felt like the "Hawaii of Japan".
Prós: Hotel comes with hot sand bath which is handy, but we thought that was included in our room rate.
Contras: Toilet is too small and smelly.
Prós: The best part must be the seaview. You will see the sunrise from the room and you also can have the option to walk out to the balcony to have a 180 deg view. The room is very spacious. Can accommodate 4 persons easily. The spa on the top floor has good seaview too. The hotel staffs are friendly, eager to share information and help whenever needed. The location is good enough. It is a 5 minutes bus ride to the sea side and the hotel is a 3 minutes walk from the bus stop.
Contras: The dinner is only average, not really exciting. Maybe we did not know how to order when we book the hotel rooms. Besides, the sand spa has additional charges which we thought should be included in the room rate.

Contras: Was there during weekend, too many people at the breakfast, food did not top up fast enough
Prós: Room is spacious and with good sea view. Hot sand bath is fantastic !
Contras: One male waiter of the restaurant is a very impolite person. As two of my relatives do not eat beef, I had given a message to the hotel that they do not eat beef but port/chicken is ok. When we were taking dinner in the restaurant, the above waiter took away all the dishes of pork without giving replacement and insisted that they received message from us that the guests do not eat beef, pork and chicken, so no pork would be served to them. I think his English is too poor to understand my message. Poor english is not the main point I have to lodge any complaint, but what annoyed me is his manner, he took a very stubborn, aggressive and impolite attitude and not listening to our explanation . Eventually, the affairs was solved after I explained the affairs to another male waiter (a Taiwanese youth). I am a frequent traveller to Japan and I visited Japan many times each year . The Japanese staff always gives me impression to be very polite and helpful but this time I was really disappointed and would not live in this hotel in further .
Prós: Old staffs let us feel warm and friendly.

Contras: The place is quite old and rustic but the location is fabulous.
Prós: Right opposite the sunamushi onsen, delicious breakfast
Contras: The creaky floor for someone on a heavy side like me worried that I will disturb the rest.
Prós: close to the sand spa
Em Ibusuki, Yurian ficará na serra, a 10 minutos de carro de Museu Arqueológico de Ibusuki e de Chiringashima Island. Há estacionamento grátis no local.
Prós: The service was incredible. The care shown was humbling. Nothing was too much. Was the perfect place to relax and enjoy southern Japanese food and service.
Prós: We have stayed at Yurian for 2 nights and absolutely loved it! Everyone was so nice to us, helpful and friendly that it made our stay very special. Facilities are so beautiful(and very clean), that photos do not do them justices at all! Seriously, the hotel is one of the most stylish and chic I I have ever seen. Location is a bit remote, but perfect for relaxing stay in the nature, and then it is easy to get by taxi and there is even a car from the hotel that can bring you to the sand baths/station/other places. At the first day we were told there was a car that will bring us to the sand baths, it turned out the car was not there that day, but they ordered us a taxi and paid for it themselves, which was a great gesture! Food is another highlight - we had half board and it was absolutely delicious! And different every day. We will absolutely be back in autumn!
