Cigaret smel every morning,
Excellent location close to the beach and restaurants yet in a quiet street. Free parking essential in Cadeques. Very clean and comfortable with a good breakfast. No
We liked the central location. Cadaques is a place where you want to park your car and leave it there until you leave. When we stayed in Cadaques previously, we stayed at the Rocamar, high on the hill, and spent quite a bit of time walking up and down that hill. From our balcony at Hotel Octavia we could see a sliver of the bay, which was a very short walk from our room. The room rate was very reasonable, the bathroom was spacious with nice tile work, and breakfast and parking were included in the rate. Also, the internet connection in the lobby was very good.
We were surprized to see so stylish and clean place as 3-star Hotel. New furniture, large light rooms, beautiful bathroom (with fullsize bath), big balcony. Wonderfull staff (clean towels every day) and 50 meters to the seafront. Wireless internet only near the reception.
We liked the spaciousness and the comfort of the hotel room for our party of three adults. We liked its location - close to public transport and close to the old city. The receptionist when we arrived was a little offhand but later in the week, when I came down to pay our bill, she remembered my name - which is very good considering there were lots of other people staying.
The room was very clean and spacious and I was impressed that when i requested a 'double' room, we were not given 2 single beds pushed together! We also really enjoyed the beautiful sea view.
It's position in relation to the town and the beach. It had been refurbished and freshly/ stylishly decorated. Secure car parking off road. Quality of tea and coffee at breakfast very disappointing (watery and little flavour). More choice of cereals would have been appreciated.
I consider that a small fridge would be a really useful equipment to be included in the rooms (especially for the customers visiting the hotel during the summer period)
Very friendly atmosphere and relaxing. The staff were very attentive. the garden area had lovely views of the ocean and the nearby beaches.
Poor Breakfast and badly organised
limpo, agradavel, simples, tranquilo, bom banho, boa recepção, bom preço, e estacionamento. a cama extra era um pouco desconfortavel
A simpatia e a qualidade preço do hotel.
Gostei muito da localização do hotel e do quarto em que ficamos; amplo, limpo e confortável. O pessoal da recepção era muito simpático e atencioso (com exceçao de uma senhora loura que nunca tinha um sorriso ou uma palavra amável!)
Proximity to downtown Cadaques. If you stay at the Hostalet, you do not need to negotiate the mountains of Cadaques. At times during the day, particularly during Siesta, and after 800 PM, the reception area would be unmanned and the door closed. Visitors won't be able to enter, because the outside door would be closed. No phones in the rooms.
swimming sight seeing
Beautiful new hotel in a gorgeous little town. Shower leaked a little
- Very friendly people - nicely designed rooms - hotel provides ear plugs - nice touch - Noisy... Other guests are easily heard in the hallways - too bad no view of the water - but a quiet off the path street is nice too
We liked the location of l'Hostalet, just off the center of town on a street with restaurants and a nice cafe/bakery that seemed open at all times. The hotel feels tucked away and does not have views of the lovely town. Our room (#8), up two flights of narrow stairs, was small with a comfortable bed and a miniature balcony with a built-in seat. The hotel is modern and clean with good lighting and adequate electrical outlets. The bathroom had a nice shower, the world's smallest sink and heated towel bar/ room heater. The built-in closet was small but workable for two people, but there is little space to put your luggage and not enough hangers. The room was cleaned daily by the friendly staff who guided us to a free parking spot. We visited in the off-season during October (when very strong winds blow from the mountains to the sea) and had to call the staff to meet us at the hotel. Bring a cell phone on your trip or be prepared to loose euros to the public phones in the town square trying to figure out how to call the hotel.
Very simple and comfortable room, very relaxed space and great location n/a
very new and clean room rooms are very small for the price
The place was just a block to the beach and center of town. It is located on an alley above several small restaurants. We were there for 1 night midweek and the noise was not a problem. Great food and entertainment steps away. Very helpful staff and good wifi. The room size may be disappointing for some people, but Cadaques is no ace to be spending time in your room!
The hotel couldn't be more central and was perfect as a base for visiting Cadaques. The rooms were clean and comfortable although we spent most of the time out walking and sampling the local delights.
Everything was as it needed to be, we were very happy with our choice. The hotel was basic but very well thought out, with nice, clean rooms, easy access to the town (very short walk), and a friendly face on the front desk. The only drawback is the hotel's proximity to a nightclub: this was only an issue on the Friday night, when the noise made it hard to sleep. This really is the only negative though.
very helpful staff, small but very clean and comfortable rooms
location, view, breakfast
The beautiful views, and the lovely breakfast. Not much really.
Wonderful hotel in a fantastic location. Great and helpful staff. The sea view from the balcony is breathtaking.
Staff very friendly good value for the Area. Nice and Quiet Bar and other facilities not alway available
Overall setting and the helpfulness of desk staff. Lack of dining service other than breakfast. (off season)
The staff was extremely helpful, polite and always ready to assist. The location was perfect. I have grandchildren who
Due to the room having a glass sliding door onto a balcony, lots of lovely natural light came into the room. The hotel felt like a home as we could walk in and out at ease. The staff did any checks very well (like checking one night when we returned, that we were actually guests because the person hadn't seen us before and we hadn't left the room key with them).
The hotel hotel is in a secluded part of town and has lovely views from the front rooms. Very noisy if children staying - laminate wood floors everywhere and very echoic. Very basic rooms for a stay of more than 2/3 days.
everything in particular access to local town
The location is perfect, in front the beach and with a great Cadaques view. Yes, to enjoyed breakfast at the tables outside, they charge tree Euros.
Cleanliness; air conditioning. The main staff member we dealt with seemed to be in a very bad mood all the time. Another was very helpful though.
The Staff and the room was pleasant The noise fromthe main road
Very nice and very clean hotel for a reasonably priced room in Cadaques. I would definitely stay there again. The proprietors were very friendly and accomodating.
Very friendly greeting, extremely clean and spacious room, quiet location, convenient to arrival at the bus station, and short easy walk to town.
Friendly, helpful staff, who offered great restaurant choices! Good location, close enough to walk to water. Nice bathroom! Hard beds.
A bit noisy from traffic.
The hotel was clean and friendly. For a 2 star hotel I was impressed with the air conditioning and lift. It was also well located. No really bad points.
Stayed here because of it's Proximity to the bus station. Great staff clean room a little noisy during day but quiet at night. Five minute walk to Harbour and restaurants.
