The room and hotel were clean and everything worked. The restaurants offered good choice and quality, but few guests used them whilst I was there. In general this is a good business hotel. Internet charges are excessive. At the room rate charged, it is too much to have to pay by the day for internet access in 2010!
I am writing to complain about my very unpleasant stay at the Swissotel Le Concorde on July 4, 2009. I booked a room for 2 persons thru booking.com. When I arrived at the hotel, I told the personnel of the hotel that the second person will arrive later, but the person who checked me in did not tell that the second person would need to be registered at the hotel. Later in the evening, I arrived at the hotel with my friend (i.e. the second person). Although I said that I booked the room for 2 persons, but I was told that I had to pay 1,000 Baht extra, otherwise the second person was not allowed to go upstairs. I said that I booked the room for 2 persons (and requested 2 beds) and told the person who checked me in that the second person will join me later (which she did half an hour after I have checked in). The hotel staff at the lobby, when I returned that evening, did not accept this and said that I should have registered my friend when I checked in. I was very angry about this kind of manoeuvre to charge me an extra 1,000 Baht plus 17% service and tax, especially for a 5-star hotel. I give this hotel zero point for the rating and will never ever go back nor recommend it. If possible, could you please forward my complaint to the hotel and also to the equivalence of the Hong Kong Tourist Association in Thailand or Bangkok. Thank you in advance. Auguste Tran
excellent food & good services
The ambience was escellent. Room neat and tidy and good size. there was no room to sit and relax in lobby during lunch time as they cleard the chairs to make room for dining tables.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and tidy and the staff do a very good job cleaning every day. Laundry facilities quick and efficient. Well located for taxis and subway. When there is a large conference or function the seating areas for residents are removed and there is very little space for residents to sit and relax. Obviously the functions are very important for revenue but so are normal residents.
It was right next to my palce of appointments ( BIDC )
silent rooms .location near MRT station Hotel never found the booking made through booking .com so we were forced to pay for an upgrade to executive floor . We found as well that the people there were very strict and limited in terms of service. The upgrade was sold to us as a better value for money deal than booking .com but it turned out to be like for like much worse !
Staff helpful little overpriced compare other hotels which are far superior then Swissotel
Hotel is stunning.Pure Swiss Class.Very good price at $60 p/N.no where in the world can you get a five star hotel for that price.service fantastic. Hevy traffic in and out of hotel all the time.beware of this.location amidst many massage parlours
Perfect,, the pool on the 5th floor was perfect!!! they could have asked at check in if i wanted non-smoking but was arragned quickly.
A longer stay of 6 nights this time. The hotel is modern, clean and everything works well. Good for working between appointments. Close to the Metro station. Internet access absurdly costly. 15% of the room rate! Many comparable and even much cheaper hotels do not charge for internet any more. The location is convenient for the Metro, but nothing else. Nowhere much to even go for a walk on the weekend. This is really a business only hotel in my view.
Room clean and quiet Nor enough sofa / sitting place at the lobby
the pool was excellent.help from the door staff was excellent.very friendly house staff.good location would have liked a hair drier.more seating in the lobby.lack of western food.
The staff are friendly and helpful. Location is good, MRT not too far. Price rather reasonable. It would be better if the rooms have free internet access. Tooth brush were not provided this time. Would be good to have it. No tray to put the shampoo inside the shower cube. No where to hang cloth in the toilet.
The close proximity to the subway train station. Requesting for hot water was frustrating. No Communication within the various departments.
most things Really good value, good location near the BTS station. Breakfast was fantastic.I would stay again
large rooms, excellent restaurants. now includes indian cuisine too. gym swim pool and free internet. great value now becoming busy and many functions
Repeater guest, easy check-in, friendly staff at Kao Tom Buffet restaurant...
it was close to a temple we needed to go for funeral services. I paid the same price as my cousin, he had "Deluxe" and I ended up with "Superior". Nothing suggested the difference between "superior" and "Deluxe" room when we booked on the website. Bare minimum for "superior" room, hard bed, no coffee service in room, old TV set, no bath robe, no slippers.
Very good breakfast, closed to metro. too much water on the floor after taking a shower
The hotel exceeded our expectations. It was contemporary and stylish and felt quite luxurious. The staff were friendly, helpful and gracious and the location was excellent - 5 minute walk from Metro and 15 minutes from centre and yet far enough away from very busy area of central Bangkok. Extras such as ipod an docking station made this hotel's facilities stand out from many others we looked at. Bar prices too expensive compared with other places in Bangkok.
This is a great place to stay from any aspect. Excellent English speaking staff and well maintained facilities. But sometimes it's the little things that count. For me it's great water pressure for the bath and shower, 600 thread count sheets and matresses that make you want to stay another day! The subway is just a few blocks away and from there you can go anywhere in Bangkok. This is by far the best value I've found in Bangkok -- or pretty much the world -- for hotel stays.
breakfast and dinning room staff not up to standard
I had a wonderful stay at Chaophya Park Hotel. All the staff were very friendly and paid great attention to making me feel as a valued guest. I will stay there agin when I return to Bangkok. Water flow in the shower was weak.
The staff were very friendly, and Hotel was well situated, close to transport and shopping area
Price. Location is very close to a subway station (MRT) WiFi performance has improved compare to my previous stays Very dated room. It has not changed in 8 years. Lots of tour groups. They can be noisy if you are on the same floor with them. The 'Superior' room category is really dated - no flat panel TV, no coffe in the room (only tea). Towels are really thin. Avoid it.
The hotel staff are friendly.
Just the price that is very reasonable, but other than that it's standard. The hotel is next to the road, so it's very very noisy. However, there's the construction next to the other side which is next to the deluxe room. So it's quite disappointed at this point.
The hotel is new and clean. The room was in good condition and big it's more like a serviced apartment but very comfortable. Breakfast was really good comparing to the price. There's no mini bar in the room. There was a fridge but it wasn't turned on and the parking lots were not enough.
I did not like the matras there was a deep hole on one side, and since the hotel is only operating for 5 months therefor it must be off poor quality.
The hotel is walking distance from the MRT and Fortun shopping center, but the actual street it is on is very local. The hotel is very basic.
The room was spacious and clean. The location was quite near with MRT station. This hotel located at small and hidden alley, so it was difficult to find. The environment was very noisy. The only view from my room was parking building, no good view at all. The room wasn’t sound proof so you can hear noise from outside and door slamming frequently. No slippers, Sofa smell like full of dust. I was disappointed with this hotel.
it is very clean the breakfast was not so good.
free internet (yet not too fast and got disconected sometimes), worth it's price, good restaurant on the top floor, not perfect but good enought localisation (5-10min to metro), small pool/jakuzzi,
The rooms were particularly clean and appreciated the upgrade to junior suite hotel difficult to locate (none of the taxi drivers new the address)
Clean rooms, good staff, not far from place of interests swimming pool too small
Not ideal for tourists the pool is a jacuzzi not a pool
Modern, clean and very nice building. Room keept clean all the time. The way to metro station is 10 min Hotel stuff very friendly. Ugly view and neighbour. Sleep when you are planning to travel by taxi to the center 80-140 THB. Massage not recommended - frosty room - bad masseurs.
very clean. location impossibe- in back street - no maps of area available in hotel
nothing to be honest, it was my worst hotel experience ever!!! the location is horrible, far away from everything, Im not sure if there is any housekeeping in the hotel, because I was there for 3 nights and nobody came to clean my room. They don't speak English and they charge everything during the check in.They dont have room service, they dont sell ant food or drinks there and if you wanna buy something you better buy during the day because there is nothing open around the hotel during the night.
