It was very clean modern luxury The $29 for parking too much and they charged us for 4 parking days instead of 3 and the guy didn't know how to fix it it was elaborate he called pkg they agreed we fldidnt have an extra car then he handed me back the paper and we had a stare off lame So I said no more dialogue I need to go fix it !! He did but he pouted didn't apologize it's probably hard to get good help up there
Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, full kitchen, multiple living spaces, gorgeous views, beautiful living spaces, great for large groups.
I love that it is so convenient to everything! I only had to use my car twice during my whole trip. Everything was walking distance! I'm not sure what had happened but my car had valet parking. And they returned my car with wheel/ tire was flat
Staff was wonderful! Best service I have ever had! From beginning to end!
Love, love, love this place! Very clean and no usual hotel vibe. I wish my apartment was that great. Nice wooden accents throughout the room. They did a great job updating the place. The staff is super responsive and willing to help and there's someone at the front desk 24/7 Everything felt and looked like they really care and want to provide the best possible experience Big windows that open! So it's easy to air out the room. Comfortable beds Free s'more kits. So you can jump into the hot tub on the roof and then enjoy some s'mores by the fire pit Free 24 hr very good coffee Nice continental breakfast with yoghurt, granola, blueberries, bagels, cream cheese and pastries Mostly younger friendly crowd and families with kids We loved it so much that we stayed an extra night on top of the three nights we already booked. And they matched the initial price of booking.com Great price for the room, considering other hotels around. It was off season though Could use more storage space/hangers in the room as well as in the bathroom Pillows were not very comfortable Bathroom and shower are a little cramped Some guests smoked right in front of the rooms and no one was keeping tabs on that There's no refrigerator or microwave in any of the rooms. For families traveling with small children that's a big deal. Though, the staff was nice enough to let us store food in their fridge
Basecamp has succeeded in facilitating a communal, hostel-like vibe while maintaining a higher-end boutique hotel, something that I've never encountered at other hotels like this. The hamburger and bratwurst grill in Basecamp's grassy courtyard were much needed after a long summer day at the lake. I'd definitely come back again. The picnic benches in the courtyard are sketchy. Mine was super wobbly but I was sober so I never took a spill. Though, my friends and I watched several people who may have had a few too many flip off their benches while sitting around the fire pit. I'd just suggest the staff replace these benches before someone gets litigious on Basecamp!
room cute, clean. Lots of pillows. No elevator!!! I had to climb two flights with heavy bags and two bikes. Staff were somewhat indifferent. No AC. No TV channel guide.
The whole stay was great from the start. The staff was very welcoming, and Baseline was such a unique experience from beginning to end. The location was walking distance to everything we wanted to do, and we absolutely loved our experience. Highly recommend!!! The only thing we didn't particularly enjoy was the thin walls in between the rooms, and the quality of the TV. But those were minuscule issues, we loved our experience.
Everything about this hotel is great. No detail is missed. Great price and great experience. Can't bet the location either.
Rooms are design, clean and confortable. Staff is wonderful, dynamic, helpful. Ecologic style. Very good breakfast, homemade style, with not too much food: super ! No coffee maker in the room.
The remodel of this hotel was superbly done, the rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were super comfy. The outdoor lawn with fire pits, hot tub and open air bar was great after a long day of hiking. The staff was clueless. My husband and I asked for a place to get breakfast sandwiches before setting out on a day hike and we were recommended a 21 and over strip club, at 8 am!! They left messes laying around for days at a time, literally (there was a concert across the street at one of the casinos and the after math of beer bottles, food containers and other debris on one of the hotel patios was left uncleaned for almost two days!) we even asked a staff member about the mess because we wanted to enjoy the view from the patio and he just laughed and said "yeah, they really made a mess huh."
Great place with very friendly people. Hipster ambience is created by cool style and design. Aesthetically it's a very pleasant place, not every Taho vacation has to be in an old cabin with a lot of orange wood and musty smell (if you know what I'm talking about). Hip and young place with make-your-own waffle breakfast and smores kits available for $2 at the reception (I've been doing those every night!!). Parking lot is a bit tight. No decaf coffee for breakfast.
Well-located close to the hustle and bustle of the casinos and the Heavenly gondola but far enough away to quiet. Nice rooms but not de luxe. Two-night minimum stay for weekends.
The 24/7 warm pool and hot tub area is amazing especially when swimming late night. :) Servicing was excellent from facility cleaniness to customer care. I thought I paid a lot for the one night value but it worth every penny! Bed sizes were full and not queen. We were a family of 4 tall people and it was not very comfortable for 2 people in one full size bed. Queen size would be good if possible!
Free full breakfast included in hotel stay was a great perk. Clean, safe, small, inexpensive when you just need a simple place to stay for a night or two.
Great location, great stay Just could of used a microwave
Location Dirty rooms, roches , and dirty pillows
Location, breakfast Small room
great location, breakfast included, comfortable bed unfriendly staff, esp. reception, and throughout our stay, we encountered a few problems
Free breakfast Backed up tub drain
Great management, excellent rooms. Located centrally, within walking distance of State Line & Heavenly Plaza, but away from the main traffic where it's pretty tranquil. Nice walks to the beach in multiple directions.
the staff, cleanliness, coziness, location, very helpful with sightseeing suggestions
Nice clean, quiet room. Comfortable bed. Soft sheets. Thick towels. Sound like home? Well kept property in South Lake Tahoe's stateline hotel area. The bathroom in our unit looked recently remodeled and they did a fantastic job in doing the work. What wasn't mentioned in their room descriptions was the fireplace heating unit in the room. It added yet another nice little touch of home. Owner and staff were very nice and helpful. Will definitely be booking Alpenrose Inn from now on when we go to Tahoe.
The location was very close to the casinos We ordered a room with a Jacuzzi tub and the tub was broke but they gave us our money back so that was OK
This was a great stay. The room was close to the parking lot, bed was comfortable, wifi was reliable, and my partner and I got a good night's rest. Of course you can't expect 5 star experience (whatever that is), but for a ton of privacy, clean and comfortable room and bed, and the distance from there to the beach/shopping center, for the price ($70~/night) it was awesome! The continental breakfast was limited (cereal, orange juice, alright cinnamon buns, oatmeal, coffee, tea, apples and bananas). It was probably first-come, first-serve, yet no one told us of this policy or when it started (7am-9am). I recommend staff to tell us when it is available and what is included. I wouldn't pay extra for the breakfast.
Great value, very helpful staff, highly recommended.
It was economical and ideal since we just wanted a place to sleep while visiting. Check-in and check-out were very smooth. Beds were fine. Included a pass to the nearby beach. Only a few things were not good: The window blinds didn't darken the room very much, and the provided breakfast in the morning was very basic: two cereals, some donuts, and coffee, milk, & OJ.
The management was very accommodating to the few requests we made. Very comfortable 10 days with everything we needed for an inexpensive and pleasant stay. Only steps away from casinos, restaurants, shopping, theater and gondola to top of mountain. Excellent value! Nothing
Blissfully quiet! Simple breakfast every morning, in room coffee pot, microwave and mini-fridge with freezer was perfect for our stay. Kept our snacks and sodas cool and allowed us to brew our own coffee and tea. Microwave was a bonus to reheat leftovers from the local restaurants. Steps away from Harvey's and Harrah's and Heavenly Village. Cute and delish taco stop next door. Walk to the beach equipped with beach front dinning. Comfy bed! Slept better here than at home - okay, that may have been because we got away from the kids. Excellent wifi, and plenty of TV and HBO. We are telling everyone about this hidden jewel; for the money, its as good as it gets. The motels with numbers in their names charge twice as much for 1/2 the comfort and even less amenities. We are already looking ahead to book again. Still can't get over how wonderfully quiet this corner of the universe was at all hours of the day and night. We would have loved an outdoor hot tub, but not a big deal. They have rooms with spa tubs, and next time we'll book one of those rooms!
Price location privacy You get what you pay for nothing to dislike. Would stay again.
The room size was good as was the location, within walking distance to Harrahs. Not a big deal, but the hot water took a few minutes to warm up from freezing cold.
The location was great It has a musty smell, the bottom sheet was not a fitted sheet so if I turned over I would take the sheet with me and be laying on the bare mattress :(. The bathrooms were not super clean.
Location was central to everything. Breakfast was hot and good variety of food. Too noisy at night. Me and my family were kept up by a noisy neighbors who were drunk, screaming, and banging on the doors from 12am-430am. Horrible!! I had to call the police and hotel management, but it didn't help much. We had a big headache in the morning. Ruined our next day.
Breakfast was better than I had expected. Room was overall comfortable and clean. Limited parking at night. Rooms are not very sound proof.
facilidade de localizacao, tranquilidade, facilidade de check in e out
Hotel agradavel, com boa localizacao numa cidade maravihosa
Localização, lareira no quarto, 2 camas de casal no quarto (excelente para casal com filhos pequenos) Melhorar o pequeno almoço
Location Noisy Air Conditioners
We stayed here for a week and loved every minute of it. THe rooms are nicely decorated and the jacuzzi, fireplace, and glass walled shower make it very romantic! The staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to be hospitable to us. They had great recommendations for what to do around Tahoe. We will definitely visit here again.
It is a very romantic room. The room was a little small and the bath tub is kinda hard to get in because its on sort of a pedistal. Also you have to the next door hotel to check in.
Location & service. Main parking lot was small, but more parking available in rea lot.
This place is awesome! We got the Tahoe suite for our honeymoon and it couldn't have been any more perfect. The room is super comfortable and romantic. Good size Jacuzzi tub, big walk in glass shower, huge bed, super warm fireplace. It could not have been any more better. I did a lot searching and reading reviews to find a good place for our honeymoon and it all paid off by finding this place. we will definitely be coming back again.
What a wonderful experience we had, in every way! The rooms looked as if they were newly remodeled. It was clean, and very comfortable. The bed was the most comfortable bed we had ever slept in!! The location was perfect. It was incredibly quiet, yet conveniently located near everything. Dustin at the front desk, was professional, friendly and accommodating. He made out stay feel special. What a wonderful, romantic get-away!
The room surpassed my expectations, the staff was beyond friendly & the room was as clean as if my mother did it herself. N/A best hotel experience thus far.
It was situated exactly between the lake and the gondola to get up to Heavenly ski resort--perfect to be able to make the most of a trip. The room was lovely & is perfect for a couple's retreat. The fireplace & jetted tub made the snowy weekend feel cozy. The only drawback was that the room was so small; it was very cute and cozy but there was very little space to move about.
We pulled in because the grounds and property looked well kept. Every car there was high end - lexus,mercedes....the outside doesn't do it justice at all! This place is family run, Debbie and Lynn know every nook and cranny in Tahoe and the best place to do anything!! The rooms show their pride in 'ownership', you wouldn't know they hadn't invested every dime in the place. There is no other place that offers jacuzzi, fireplace, huge shower and location, location, location! The whole experience was delightful, it snowed big time and their son was out cleaning off the cars for the people in the morning. How could anyone stay somewhere else if you'd tried this place? Not us, we'll be back and won't stop telling our friends and co-workers about our 'Secret' Inn.
Two weeks ago we spent a romantic getaway to the Secrets Inn. It was GREAT!!! Are room was prefect and the jacuzzi was the best. Had access to a private beach. Next time I visit Tahoe I will stay again. Heads up the Inn has no kids or pets. Great for couples!
Everything was excellent the outside of the hotel was not so great but inside it was absolutely gorgeous from inside really romantic. The staff was extremely helpful and nice would definitely come back to this hotel
It was so romantic. Hot tub was the best part. Shower was also nice. Close to everything. I couldn't turn on the fireplace. And no long mirror in the room.
The air conditioning works great. The whole place was updated and the decor was Modern. The kitchen was awesome especially for a family with a small child. The location was optimal. Everything you could want is in the area. Hard beds. Really hurt my back and my hips but the pillows were nice.
Can't recommend The Coachman Hotel enough peeps! Super hip, sweet accommodations, rad staff, optimal location and the price is right! Def returning for a longer stay next time. Make sure to take them up on the complimentary S'Mores at the hotel's huge communal fire and play some corn hole!
