Quarto espaçoso no 308 Cama confortável
Contras: Definitivamente senti a idade do hotel. Descrição do quarto são enganosas.
Prós: We upgraded to a room with a bathroom! Good! But we had no view only looking out into a box with two windows looking back and those rooms had lights on all night.. We will check next time for a room with view and some air...It's a beautiful old Victorian !
Contras: already noted!
Contras: paper thin walls
Prós: The staff from checkin to checkout could not be more service oriented. John was great and the food beyond expectations.
Contras: The ADA room needs a little attention. The shower seat is pulling out of the wall on the right side. The toilet feels like it may be loose. The handheld shower needs a little attention. It took a large amount of time to get the temperature right and the shower head kept changing output while attempting to adjust. Bed was outstanding and comfortable. There might be a slight amount of hyperbole in the presentation of facility in the web page, but we would do it all over.
Prós: Location is awesome. We got a ground level for 250$ a night perhaps they have rooms overlooking the ocean for more. The restaurant food is good and not too expensive. The restaurant staff is exceptionally polite and they have an amazing service.
Contras: The curtains and sheers are torn. Beds are small and have squeaky springs and the rooms have creaking floorboards under the carpet TV programming is horrible if kids need to watch something or anything. No exhaust in the bathroom and no privacy between the sink and bath area and the room. We stayed in Lemos bldg rm 318. Rustic is fine as long as its only an experience. It does not mean putting guests with old and overused amenities. For 250$ a night - definitely not worth it esp. When breakfast is also not included.
Prós: Great location. Hotel had historic charm. It is definitely a place where you go for the experience and not for comfort.
Contras: Very squeaky beds, you can cough or roll over without making a huge racket.
Prós: Lareira no quarto
Parece meio mal assombrado.
Prós: old time character
Contras: waitress kept us waiting total 15 minutes to pay, after we asked for check, while she took orders from several other tables. she could see us waiting there.
Prós: located right in town, within walking distance to shops and restaurants, views from main building are spectacular! breakfast was an additional cost and delicious, served in the garden area.
Contras: bed was hard and not to my liking, did not realize there were multiple buildings when booking so make sure if you want to be in the main building to request it.
Prós: Great location, friendly staff
Contras: Hotel is out of date - old world charm is nice, but chairs were ripped and worn, fireplace in one room didn't work, phone in the other room didn't work, not logs for fireplace, ants all over bathroom, toilet not working properly, and headboard made of glass, that was broken in places.
Prós: A real feeling of an 1800's hotel. Very nice receptionist. Outside roof top deck offers spectacular ocean view.
Contras: It would have been better if my date had shown up!
Prós: Very convenient and right in town.
Contras: Small room, really small
Contras: Algum cheiro abafado no quarto.
Prós: Localização Belos jardins - flores som do oceano
Prós: The charm of this "hotel" makes it worth staying. Its in a great place, only a few walking steps from everything.
Contras: There is no Air Conditioning or Fans. It was very hot and had a difficult time sleeping. I understand ACs are not the norm by the coast, but they need something.
Prós: Good location
Contras: facilities and cleanliness to be improved
Contras: This hotel is beyond in need of repair and major renovation. Everything on the property was found dirty, worn, old and often non-functional. Old carpets, filthy drapes covered in cobwebs, lamps not plugged in, broken tile, moldy bathroom fixtures, unkept grounds; the list goes on and on. Insulation in the walls and floors is also severely lacking. You can hear every sound from your neighbors, and the units upstairs sound like a herd of elephants stomping on the ceiling all night.
Prós: Location was amazing. We got an exceptional deal for the room and ocean view. Unfortunately because of the coronavirus the restaurant and bar were not open. There were many places downtown mendocino that were open for food and supplies. We hope to come back and vacation here many years to come.
Contras: Maybe new towels, the towels were very clean, just a little thin. And a refrigerator in the room would be such a plus.
Prós: Large quiet room
Contras: Cob webs on the windowsill, the restaurant wasn't open due to the covid 19. The pillows were too firm.
Prós: Great location and friendly staff.
Contras: There were mistakes in the booking process that were easily fixed, but still required extra steps. Pillows and towels are very old and not very functional.
Prós: Location and view
Contras: Not many guests here as hotel just starting back up post-Covid and they gave us a room overlooking the front parking lot and not in back with the view. I requested a move and was told no moving.
Prós: Room was clean, spacious, and the hotel was walking distance to town. Plenty of free parking.
Contras: It would be nice to have a restaurant on-site, or breakfast. No real complaints other than you have me linked to another guest in your records. I'm not from Norwalk CT. Very nice hotel when staying in Mendocino.
Prós: Nothing special. The coffee machine did not work in the room.
Contras: The room decor was dated... the bathroom needs updating
Contras: Didn't find the staff to be very friendly or forthcoming with info. For example, after I checked in I noticed that there was nothing to burn in the fireplace. When I called the front desk about that, they just said, "come to the front desk for that".
Prós: The old style feel
Contras: The beds were high and my mom had a very hard time getting on it safely.
Prós: Covid made our choices very few. Seagull Inn was open and following social distancing rules and our room was aired out by the coastal breeze. The rooms defiantly need a fresh coat of paint and removal of the rug. The musty smell was less with the windows open. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was a muffin/fruit/small yogurt/juice/coffee, 8:30 or 9am. You could hear the waves from our room. Small park across the street with tables. The closest beach is down a steep hill but we have been there before so we were aware. Only a few places we open to eat. I hope things get back to normal soon. Very friendly host.
Contras: Room smell. Internet really slow
Prós: The breakfasts are great and the owners bend over backwards to accommodate your schedule if you are taking a class at the Mendocino Art Center. They also have a comfortable place to sit and read. ****
Prós: Loved the location, the friendly staff and owner, and that the property is family run. We loved having the room decorated with local artwork, and the breakfast on a tray outside our room was a nice change-of-pace from the typical B&B breakfast in a dining room. (It helped that the weather was perfect.) And, the mattress was especially comfortable. The staff was eager to share hiking and dining suggestions.
Contras: Room was a bit drafty. The bathroom door had some smudges.
Prós: The raspberry muffins had just came out of the oven shortly before being brought to our room. They were huge, warm and went perfectly with our coffee, juice, yogurt and fruit cup. Small vase w/fresh flowers made it extra special.
Prós: The location was ideal, within easy walking distance of the town center and all restaurants. We had a lovely view of the ocean and it was an undemanding walk to the bluff to watch for whales. The room was spacious, although it had a small bathroom. The house is pretty old so I can't really complain. The bed was comfortable and the linens were soft and sufficiently warm. The heating was adequate, we didn't need AC. The inn host was very knowledgeable and friendly. They prepare the breakfasts from scratch and it smelled heavenly when we checked in.
Contras: The inn has no communal area indoors, so breakfast was delivered to the room. If the weather had been warmer though, there were several places we could have sat outside. Our breakfast time was set and although we were able to change it on the second day, on the last day we could not so we left before breakfast arrived. The bathroom could have done with an upgrade and my constant frustration at lack of towel rails was present. Each towel needs a rail to dry out!
Prós: Our hosts Ian and Kim were lovely and extremely helpful. Breakfasts were a real treat!

Prós: The staff were wonderful and responsive. The breakfast was absolutely delicious - the best I've ever had at an inn or B&B. The other patrons were a diverse group of interesting folks. I would definitely go back, especially if I got such a good deal again.
Contras: the place was a bit shabby - kind of the classic Mendocino funk with the added twist of the bottom part of the door being missing, so that we had to stuff a rolled up towel under it to keep the critters out (it was an outdoor-entry room).
Prós: Staff is excellent and close to the beach and downtown. Little worn out place but if you are ok with small wear n tear then good value for money.
Contras: They messed my booking so got a sub-standard room for the first night. Second night was pleasant.
Prós: Easy to find, convenient for walking tour of town, beach access right across the street. Very nice, friendly staff, delicious breakfast. Very dog friendly. Room was clean, nicely decorated. Bed was very comfortable.
Contras: Stairs up to the inn and street parking made unloading the car difficult. The front entry hall was very cluttered and didn't give a good first impression. I am not a fan of Victorian style and particularly unrefurbished tired & soiled-looking antiques, so didn't want to sit on any of the chairs in the "living room" area.
Prós: The fire pit. It was great sitting around the fire at night with the other guests. The breakfasts and light dinner were perfect.
Contras: Nothing. We enjoyed everything.
Prós: The breakfast and food in general was fantastic! Much better than the typical "included breakfast" at most hotels. The service was excellent and the staff was helpful and personable. It was definitely a laid-back and comfortable place to relax, with a nice view.
Contras: So let me start with saying that we walked away from our stay VERY HAPPY and would definitely recommend this place in a heartbeat. My initial first impression when we arrived however was a little underwhelmed, but only b/c we were expecting that it was ON the ocean based on photos (maybe the angles, etc). I thought we would be able to walk from the back porch area right down to the water, but it's actually on the other side of Highway 1 and while there is still a beautiful view of the ocean and sunset, you do hear cars, etc. In the end, it really didn't matter. As we discovered, pretty much any place that is directly on the water appears to be privately owned homes. I ONLY mention this in case you are expecting "ocean front" upon your arrival. The rest of the grounds, service, food, and fire pit all more than made up for this misunderstanding. It's a really easy short drive to Mendocino Village if that is what you are looking for as well.
Prós: This was our second visit. We had been looking forward to the Million Dollar Bacon. I, unfortunately, had to give mine to my husband as I couldn't eat it as it was way too spicy for my indigestion. I don't know if it just had too much pepper or what you did to the bacon but my stomach just won't tolerate anything but bland so maybe that's on me. But even he said it wasn't what he remembered, not quite as good. Sorry! But we liked the room. Last minute reservation so we were lucky to get it. Was too cool for me to walk around but my husband did and enjoyed it very much. I love the fire in the main lobby.
Contras: As I said above, bacon could have been less, or not at all spicy. You could tell visitors about heat/spice level of food to save waste and allow them to choose well for their needs. As for the rest, grounds and rooms are beautiful, clean, wonderful amenities and I'm sure we'll we back.
Prós: Breakfast was amazing, with several choices. All excellent. I really liked the butternut squash french toast, with millionaire’s bacon.
Prós: Amazing property with an amazing stuff. The only problem we had was that we had to leave after 3 wonderful nights. We loved everything at Brewery Gulch Inn. The stuff was very friendly and forthcoming. We arrived around 7:30 pm and they were expecting us with food prepared and left in the room as well as a bottle of wine. Because I told them we were celebrating my wife's birthday that week, they also let a bottle of champagne in one of the rooms. The food was fantastic. Each morning they had the standard breakfast + something special. Every evening they had a complimentary snack and wine tasting. They call it a snack but it was more or less a dinner, very good and well prepared. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, offering everything you may need. The main lobby had a library of books and almost 400 DVDs with various movies (both very new and older). They also had various board games, a big fireplace and a very beautiful terrace. We spent every night there watching the sunset over the Smugglers Cove, enjoying a glass of wine and playing some games. The grounds of the Inn are very nice, with several trails, ponds with waterlilies and many beautiful birds. The Inn is also located very close to Mendocino and many of the attractions of the area. We spent 3 nights at the Inn, but we would love to spend 3 more. We did not get the chance to see everything, and we will definitely like to come back. Our trip was longer and we had several more stops in Eureka and Sacramento, but in the end, both my wife and my kids voted Brewery Gulch Inn the place where we should have stayed longer and where they would love to return.
Contras: There is nothing there not to like
Prós: Complimentary wine tasting every early evening
Contras: Dinner only served from 5.30 - 6.30.
Prós: Hospitality is 10/10. Guy, Laura & staff are lovely and kind people. The food is excellent and they will customize for your dietary needs. The deck with the view of smugglers cove is a lovely place to relax and read a book.
Prós: The breakfast was awesome.
Contras: Left message to call me back wasn’t called back till I had already checked in.
Prós: Liked the staff. Location was great.
Contras: Breakfast egg dishes had a bit too much going on.
Prós: The landscaping and the hot tub.
Contras: Wish we could stay longer
Prós: Location, quaint private cottages.
Contras: The cottage had a musty smell. Not all the windows had screens to keep the mosquitoes out. A fan would have been nice to circulate the air at night. The shower had a sour smell, probably the shower curtains. The Brita water pitcher didn’t filter the water properly.
Prós: Clean, down home, close to everything.
Prós: Staff was exceptionally helpful!!
Prós: Sara, the receptionist, was wonderful, with lots of information at her fingertips, and a lovely warmth that made us feel very welcome..
Contras: The shower was tiny, and the stairwell to the second floor was steep and difficult to navigate.
Prós: The muffins they bring to the room in the morning were great! We had an incredible view of the ocean from our room. We will definitely be back!
Prós: Super clean, friendly staff, comfy bed, family friendly, muffins in morning, great location, quiet, cozy fireplace, convenient amenities and size of unit, free off street parking. Things in good condition.
Contras: Some might not like outdated country aesthetic of room. Window screens would be good. Air freshener smell. A little spendy.
Prós: Very good location and nice room
Contras: There were bugs on the sofa
Prós: View of the ocean outside our window. Walking distance to everything. Staff members are friendly, helpful, generous.
Prós: Seeing as I was looking forward to enjoying a bath, I really liked the bath tub. However, I liked everything about my stay at the MacCallum House. Very friendly staff, really comfortable bed, delicious breakfast, and the best Manhattan I've had yet; a very unique recipe.
Contras: The only thing I didn't like was that I didn't spend more time in the room.
Prós: Lovely room, great location.
Prós: The Mac House (MacCallum House) is a wonderful, romantic, luxurious place to stay. Breakfasts there are the best in Mendocino. The rooms were well appointed and the stuff helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the Mac House.
Prós: Historic and perfect setting for enjoying an authentic Mendocino experience.
Prós: Very nice area and very quiet.
Contras: Service was slow . Had confirmation problems left late because of the mix up
Prós: The restaurant was outstanding. We arrived on a rainy afternoon and the bar & Restaurant were so welcoming!
Contras: Our room was right over the bar, so it was a little noisy, but everything quieted down about 10.
Prós: Breakfast is delightful. The bed very cozy! The hot tub was close by. The garden is beautiful and the sweet smell of the star jasmine outside our room was lovely. This was our second time staying and we look forward to coming back again and again.
Contras: Sorry but we can’t think of anything that we didn’t like.
Prós: Wonderful place with a lot of history. Restaurant was exceptional here. Very quiet.
Prós: Very clean room. Breakfast was good.
Contras: Dinner. Too salty.
Prós: Great location
Contras: Room is small
Prós: I enjoyed the antique atmosphere of the hotel (built in 1882), its closeness to the ocean and the excellent food.
Contras: My wife would have preferred a queen-sized bed to the full-sized bed in the room, but that would not have been in keeping with the older era atmosphere.
Prós: The food and bar were great. I loved having a hotel in the room.
Contras: The staff did mess up the reservation, but more than made up for it with an upgrade at the same cost.
Prós: Beautiful location, bed was very comfortable, breakfast was great.
Contras: Bartender was a bit unfriendly
Prós: hotel was very charming. Ammenities were great. Perfect breakfast and great dinner at the inn's restaurant. And the town itself is absolutely adorable.
Contras: staying in a suite outiside the main building can be a downside. For us it didnt have much of an impact
Prós: Full breakfast included, location is conveniently right downtown. We had a problem with some of our room's cleanliness which was quickly handled by desk staff to our satisfaction.
Contras: There was a noisy wedding party the weekend we were there and smokers occasionally congregate around the front entrance forcing you to walk a gauntlet of smoke.
Prós: The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. My mother had a problem with her ankle and was having difficulty with stairs, and the lovely young woman at check in was kind enough to move us downstairs. The room was beautiful and spacious. This was a special trip for my mother's birthday, and it could not have been nicer!
Prós: Location was spectacular, as was the bar's drink menu. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, room was fair. Food at restaurant, and at breakfast, was less-than-average for the cost.
Contras: Restaurant was average, but prices were expensive.
Prós: Localização e serviço da equipe do check-in.
Prós: Excellent breakfast and very welcoming personal
Prós: Overall a good experience. The place was clean and the lady doing our check in was a world of help for the area. Secluded and off the beaten track, but the entire town is within walking distance. The place where we ate was only a couple of blocks away and was one of the best fish and chips I've ever had.
Contras: I find it a little distasteful to find thick paint on everything. You wouldn't paint your house this thick so why would you do it to a house from 1905?
Prós: Great host, great location, great breakfast. We weren’t in the room long so it was fine and comfy. Shower not so great but the town is on a well so I’m sure that is why
Contras: Just not that great of shower.
Prós: Jesica was a joy to be around and she was always willing to help with any of our needs. She makes you feel like family.
Contras: The WiFi is unsecured, so I would never use it
Prós: We went with our 2 year old toddler for a family getaway and stayed in the Queen suite. The living room with the kitchen had a sofa that we used as a bed for our child. The rooms were well heated (we just had to switch it on in the bedroom when we arrived at 9pm). Breakfast was delicious and Jessica who cooked and served us had both cooked and cold options everyday. Perfect location for a stroll around and a very short walk to the beach, where the river meets the ocean! Will definitely go back.
Contras: The room was not made on the one whole day that we had there, we would have appreciated some fresh towels.
Prós: Upon arriving we felt welcomed especially with our little dog! Jessica is very informative and friendly, she was always available if we had any questions or needs. The bed was very comfortable, and breakfast in the morning was fabulous, served at a large beautiful table with enough room to accommodate all the guests. The B&B is centrally located, with a great Italian restaurant right next door. We were able to walk everywhere around town. We will definitely stay again!
Contras: It would be nice if there were a place to sit outside, but the Victorian house pretty much sits on the street without much of a front porch and no front yard garden. They do have a sauna and hot tub available that's included with your stay, but we didn't utilize it, so I can't reveiw on it. I heard some other guests saying they enjoyed the hot tub though.
Prós: Breakfast was yummy. Loved the fruit salad and the frittata. We also love the large hot tub. We love the location also.
Contras: Every time I got out or into the right side of the bed it had a loud squeak in room 4. Woke up my husband every time.
Prós: Breakfast was great!
Contras: Needs to be redone. Wall paper is taped in places. Towels were stained, as were old bathrobes. Feather bed was not feathery... it was uneven. The green towels were stained. When my husband tried to use the restroom, he had to duck....
Prós: The staff was extremely personable and the rooms were very clean. The room was very nice, large, but still cozy.
Contras: There was no "great room" to gather, only a small area that seated four. The door between our room and the next room let in light and sound.
Prós: We liked the individually decorated romantic room and enjoyed the breakfast with home made muffins.
Contras: As we arrived at night we had some difficulties finding the building. More light around the hotel or at least an enlightet hotel sign would have been helpful.
Prós: Really nice room and polite innkeeper. Very good breakfast. Perfect location either for visiting the small town and for exploring the beach
Contras: Between our room and the next one ther was only a door: you can hear almost everything betweend the two rooms. Breakfast room is too small.
Prós: The Queen Suite is very confortable and reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly and prepares a delicious breakfast.
Prós: Lovely rooms!
