Easy to find, close to my event, Valet was very professional, nice, helpful, friendly This hotel was a very big disappointment compared to the Radisson in Kalamazoo. It is old, out of date, run down and expensive for the quality of stay When I commented to the staff they agreed and said the were thinking of updating
We stayed here for two days for a convention. The hotel was about 15-20 minutes away from it, which wasn't very nice, but it was also booked two weeks before the convention. The staff was extremely friendly and the room was nice. I left a pillow there and called about it the day after I left, and I received it 4 days later. Overall it was a good hotel and I would consider staying there again. The breakfast that was included was questionable and the shower heads were very low, I'm 5'10" and I couldn't get my head under it without having to bend down. However, these are both minor things and there's tons of other food choices in the area. I would still happily stay here again.
I used to stay at this facility frequently when it was a Hampton Inn (about a year ago or so). I didn't realize that ownership changed and they were now a Comfort Inn. I found them through Kayak and I'm glad I did! The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. I didn't take advantage of the fitness area, pool, or breakfast, but I know they were all there for me. I'll be back! It's located near an interstate freeway and I was a little afraid that the room might be noisy, but it wasn't bad at all. About the only complaint I can note is that the wired internet cable they provided didn't work (the wall jack just had a hole in it, with nothing for the cable to connect to). The wireless access was free; they provided credentials on the outside of the holder for the room keys; it worked great - so it was no big deal.
Staff was friendly
Very close to the Lansing center and lots of restaurants. Loved having a breakfast and the pool and hot tub were great!
Wonderful breakfast! Friiendly staff and enjoyed the stay very much! Liked everything!
My son had a basketball tournament here in town for the weekend and our stay was great. Very close to all his games, close to all restaurants and the highway.
Co-location with University Club facilities nice. U-Club dining good, but bar closes early if in need of late night, and a very long and confusing walk from the hotel. U-Club health facility appeared nice, but they would not allow under 18, even with a parent, despite hotel telling us it was acceptable. We were there in winter, so no pool available, but it appeared lovely assuming East Lansing will ever thaw out. One of the worst hotel beds ever. Virtually no water pressure for shower. Leak (repaired) in ceiling. Dated decor and musty smell. They claim a proposed redo is in progress and it appeared to be addressing some of the above concerns
Close to campus Bed was very hard.
Location to my work place The people in the room next to me keep me up all night, extremely loud and didn't care about anything around them. Also the room smelled like stale smoke. Luckily I had febres to spray to cope. Breakfast was not fresh either.
Pool, Hot Tub, Bar, Clean Rooms, Nice bathroom area, Good continental breakfast Hot Tub water was a little nasty. Needs a Sauna
Myself and a lot of other people were in the bar area. The man came out and said we close at 10 y'all need to leave. The other guest were upset as well.
It was remodeled and they added a corridor around the the building so there were no outside rooms like there was originally.
Overall stay was good and hotel room was clean. The breafast included was a better than a regular continental, more than just cereal and toast. The one thing we were unhappy about was that the beds were 2 doubles and not two queens as advertised.
Very good location close to MSU and friendly staff. Room is comfortable and availability of smoking rooms.
pool, location, convienence of access, ease of getting in and out pricing issues....mandatory "safe" fee which was not disclosed at check in and which iI did not want...
The upgrade to a deluxe room at no charge, the complimentary cocktails, the very nice hot breakfast, and clean room were all pluses.
Rooms dingy, sheets were damp, woken by construction work inside the hotel.
Quiet location away from Grand River Ave while remaining a very drivable distance to Michigan State University. Excellent value.
Comfortable, good WiFi services, pleasant staff in the lobby. Strong stale cigarette smoke smell despite the fact that it was a non-smoking room. There was a toilet brush laying in the hallway. (Outside)
Clean and comfortable. Good continental breakfast included. Excellent location for our purposes. Easy on/off the interstate. Excellent value. No significant complaints.
Good location to MSU. VERY CLEAN, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. Bathroom small but for the price you can't beat it.
Everyhting was nice. the staff was polite. it was exactly what i would expect for that price.
relatively close to MSU campus Room was tiny, but comfortable
Facilities and staff were great, the room was bigger than expected. bathroom was a bit tight. The heater.... every time it turned on, it was absurdly loud and impacted my wife and I sleeping well throughout the night.
The staff was friendly and the hot breakfast (which was a small upgrade charge) was excellent with very friendly and enjoyable kitchen staff.
I like the two room suite, fridge, microwave, etc. Will think about returning with our 2 year old sometime. It's a good setup. Rate on booking.com was $90. Hotel charged me $110. Plastic cups, skinny bars of soap, skimpy towels could have been better.
Two Rooms, frig, two tvs, great breakfast made by a happy, friendly man who started my day out on such a positive note.
Very good value for the price. Did not hear noise from other guests while in our room and we were right by the evevator. We liked the hot cooked breakfast, much nicer than most hotels with a "hot breakfast" included. Liked the idea of the social hour with free drinks & appetizers. Rooms seemed a little outdated. Not as much variety for breakfast as other hotels if you didn't want the cooked breakfast choices and ran out of bacon and fruit an hour before breakfast ended.
Quality hotel. Very clean, large, nicely-decorated room. Good location, plenty of parking. Plenty of shopping and dining nearby. Guests having party, drinking, ALL afternoon on patio right under room, until at LEAST 12:30 A.M. Overnight front desk staff was completely unhelpful. Clerk clearly didn't care that us and our 3 year-old were being kept awake. Even when we complained at 12:30 A.M. about the noise, he brushed it off and did nothing to help. Otherwise, staff and hotel were excellent, but when the front-desk clerk sides down-plays guest complaints and sides with a bunch of drunks... we will NOT be staying here again.
Hotel looks recently renovated to the point of surprising me. Very friendly staff.
Breakfast Loud teens running through the hall late at night
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.. and those chocolate chip cookies...
Staff friendly over charged my card
It had a great modern feeling. The staff was very helpful and nice. The furnishings, though modern and sleek looking, were really cheap. The doors were big and sounded solid when shutting, but you can hear everything through them. Every door slam along the corridor or in the rooms next door can be heard in the room.
newly remodeled smells new very nice no
I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 day stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and Breakfast was good, hot and fresh. My room was very clean, and quiet. The hotel location was perfect, on a side street, close to a main road, but not on it. It was unusually hot, and there is no air conditioning in the upper hallways. But no big deal.
The decorum was excellent! The breakfast buffet was not adequately staffed considering how booked the hotel was. It took extra long to get a quick breakfast.
Everything was clean and the staff was friendly
The room was modern and up to date. There wasnt much extra space to move around in.
Nice, clean hotel
The hotel was very open and located near other facilities. this was good for the limited time that I had in the hotel. The workout facility was very small. The limited machines is acceptable but the fact that the ceiling was so short, made it not usable for me. I'm only 6'3 and almost knocked out a ceiling light when I got on the elliptical machine.
The hotel is rather old and not nearly as nice as I would expect from a Courtyard Marriott. The staff is extremely slow.
We went for a wedding and stayed here.the front area is beautiful when you walk in! Our room was very clean and all staff was very helpful and polite. Breakfast and bar was not included in price but was available and really nice. There is a lovely courtyard only accessible from inside, great for lunches. The LA Senoritas is within walking distance just across the drive and was a great place to relax. The waitress was so fun and attentive, I think her name was Sheila. We were about five minutes away from the wedding and ten from the reception so it was a perfect location for us with plenty of shopping spots in between. Great experience overall. Would definitely stay again. Nothing.
Pool got closed down to a child getting sick in it. So daughter was unable to enjoy the pool... One of the main reasons we came here.

The hotel was a little noisy as there were groups of children/teenagers in the hotel.
The room was perfect for a working weekend!!!
for a 3 star the room size and quality
The room was spacious and comfortable. The pool area could have been larger.

Very friendly staff that was welcoming
The people above us were pounding, stomping, jumping& so incredibly loud the ENTIRE night long. It was torture, felt like a prank. We continuously reached out to the staff for help with the situation, but nothing. No sleep at all. Worst night ever.
The breakfast buffet was outstanding, and the room was very nice.
Very nice man at desk in morning tried very hard to find us a cab. We ended up driving to airport paying $70.00 for long-term parking. The young girl at the desk when we checked in . She acted like she was scheduling us a shuttle for the next morning. Had she called us a cab then, we would have been all set!
