The Hotel is located quite good, to Komtar (Bus Station) and old town you can both walk quite good. Breakfast was only toast and cake with Butter or marmelade and tea or coffe, but thats ok. Wifi also quite ok. The room was quite dark, smelled a bit but shower and aircon was good.
I loved the look of the historic hostel, the large rooms, quality air con and the water-cooler. The eco-conscious messages and the friendly staff and multiple comfortable lounge areas to relax in. The beds are squeaky metal springs which are very noisy making every move someone makes in the night a potential awakening. Also bathroom facilities are basic.
The location and the reasonable rates. We had booked for three nights, the person who made our room did not cleaned the bathroom. Water leaked out from the shower doors after we took our shower, so the bathroom floor was a mess with water all over the place. This was a complete opposite experience from the last time that we booked into this hotel.
Very clean and the fact that the Church was just outside made it feel safe to sleep. :-)) Nothing except that it was difficult to check in at the beginning as the staff could not locate my name and that was a problem.
overall, ymca is affordable and it is quite comfartable. it's suitable for students or family who wants to have a budget trip in penang.
condusive environment. Availability of Water Dispenser at common area. No
very cheap prices quite far away from central Georgetown
It was a normal room, can't say I really like something about it. The room was pretty old and didn't have any sunlight.
Nothing much can be said because I only stayed in for 1 night, attended friend dinner at the hall and had fun at SS penang road.
quiet and clean
The room was clean, tidied every day, with towel replacements daily. The hotel also provided free shuttle service to town during the weekends. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Though it is still within walking distance of the town centre, the hotel's location is somewhat inconvenient
the cleaner attitude ...
