The staff was very nice, the brekfast was very good, the place was quite. The room was not clean when we arrived. In 6 days nobody take the garbage, no clening of the room, no change towels, no check for any needs in the room.
Very helpful staff, trying to do the best at all times despite the language barrier (the speak German, though). A family feel - they treat you rather like a guest, not a client. Quite big breakfast but always the same - buns, cheese, ham, jam. The pencion is quite next to the immigrant ghetto and the tram goes through it, so the sights on the way aren't always pleasant. But usually there's no problem crime-wise.
The staff were amazing as I stayed on my own they were more than happy to look after me. Arranging taxi's or anything. They completely went out there way for me. Very uncomplicated stay like larger hotel's. The small essence and personnel touch made it for me. Nothing at all would stay there again tomorrow.
Friendly staff - lovely ladies in their 40-ies, decent breakfast, though nothing hot served Rooms are rather cold even in early September, doors open directly outside. You'd better have your slippers if you want to use the bathroom - tile floor, very cold.
The breakfast was fresh. The doors and windows of the room were secure. The staff insisted on cash payment and seemed confused over our reservation. The room was not made up for guests. There was no division between the bathroom and the sleeping area. There was no possibility of privacy - including the toilet - and no instructions for the complicated shower and bath. There was no plug in the sink, light over the sink, bedside light, or mirror in near a power socket. The shower flooded the room (and our cases). The sheets were brushed nylon. The taxi driver said the area was unsafe and advised against walking around.
The staff were excellent, friendly, accommodating and helpful. not the easiest place to find and they guided us to the hotel in perfect English, ensured that our car was put in secure garage overnight and even gave us chocolate bar to welcome us to the hotel!
They gave me an apartment, which was available, despite the fact that I booked only a single room. This was really exceptional, normally hotels will not offer you better rooms even if they are available. The bathroom wasn't that fantastic.
Good transportation links to both the city centre and the main railway station, making it very easy to find and get to when arriving by train ect. The hotel was very reasonably priced and I was very impressed by the quailty of the hotel for it's price. I would certainly consider staying here again in the future. Very impressed overall. Nothing of particular note.
The hotel is located in a quiet quarter. There is a garage included in the price of the room.
I think there are a very high price for three stars hotel and for location.
Very well equipped clean big rooms! (safe, refrigerator, ability to prepare coffee and tee, even paper towels). Fast and reliable internet connection by cable. 1. The check-in starts at 14:00! We had some problems getting the rooms when we arrived earlier. 2. At the reception you don't feel at a hotel - it's a hostel at most. Attitude of the receptionist was unacceptable - very unprofessional and unfriendly.
very nice hotel, very helpful staff, good breakfast
I liked this hotel. I value cleanliness and when I book online expect to see exactly what I was told I am paying for. Thats what I got, what the product said on the tin! Value-wise although I stayed on two other hotels in praque, there is no comparison. Location isnt great, but not too bad.
clean and relatively quiet being in an outer quarter the environs were sordid
Free Parking garage, availability of internet, proximity to downtown Room AC system did not work in two different rooms. Could be AC units were not turned back on after winter period. It was hot day and these are individual room units. It should have been turned ON by hotel management by 15-5
Serviço e simpatia do pessoal Não tinha ar condicionado...
My stay at the Hotel was for business. I was able to meet with colleagues for business discussions at the hotel.
Very good standard of room; helpful desk staff. Smoking areas not acceptable.
As a business traveler I like when everything goes right when I arrive to the hotel which was the case. I arrive late and the restaurant was still open with a nice carte. Hotel staff was pleasant, polite and smilly.
Very good location. Nice and clean. Comfortable beds. Good breakfest. Very unprofessional front desk staff. Maybe someone should tell her that smartass remarks of the personal nature are not such a good idea in the upclass hotel of this nature.
Comunistic stuff without smile, dirthy pool. If the room we have got was Premium, I can´t imagine the size of standard one.
The location is really good. Near the old town, across the street from the castle. The food was ok, the rooms pretty nice. Coffee at the bar downstairs is really bad, they serve it in some old communistic cups.
The gym facilities No
good position in the city and good brakfast very difficult access due to the road construction
The room was perfectly adequate for the rate, liked the large bathroom. It was very clean, comfortable and the location was unbeatable! The other hotel in the immediate vicinity had a much more updated, modern decor (Comsa Hotel) for very little more money (we visited friends who were staying there, so saw for ourselves)
Location No complaints
The are was nice. NO
Lack of Air Con
Good size rooms
Not much i'm afraid...very dissapointed..not child freindly at all
There is an excellent restaurant down the hotel, just by the lake.
Very helpful and friendly personnel In the dark it was very difficult to find! When you leave the motorway it's not indicated.
Good kitchen, good hotel room equipment, nice area
The restaurant is excellent. A little bit scuffed.
we have stayed here many times over the past 8 years and it is always excellent. Breakfast is fantastic and the location for our visit is perfect, right on the lake with little cheap bars and restuarants all serving traditional food and drink. It has really gone up in the world since our first stay in 2002 when it cost £12 a night, a beer was 12p and a meal for two was £2. It has increased 4 fold but worth every penny and exceptional value The hotel has turned in to a 'wellbeing spa'. These customers take preference over hotel guests and that was a little frustrating. It has also tripled in price in 3 years so I hope they don't eventually price themselves out of the area.
Nice located, with beautiful lake view. Rooms are renovated, well-equipted, clean and nice. Big choice of food for breakfest which is included in the price. Big tarrace available from restaurant. There was a wedding when we stayed in Santon, but nothing could be heard in the room, very quited. Very small elevator in the part of the hotel where we were accommodated.. Old-style hallway.
All the personals knows english and Always Smiles
close to the exhibition centre. the food in the bar area was not of a good standard.
Nice comfortable rooms and friendly staff. They all speak many languages in reception so no problems there. Bit of a walking distance from the town centre but good for building up an appetite...There is a tram (no1) which you can catch into town 10mins walk away. Our bed linen was not changed at anytime during our stay. You get tea and coffee sachets the first day in the room but it was never refilled thereafter. The room was not vacuumed very well either bits everywhere.
Hotel quality, it's the only in Brno to have a decent dervice, and smiling personnel at all time. Regularity is the key word Small Fitness and sauna facility
The staff are very helpful and friendly
Very Little Classified as 5 star with 3 star amenities and service
The Sauna, The complimentary chocolats, the efficiency of the staff.
Nice and tidy hotel. Good restaurant. Parking gate not working properly, always some problem. Internet in room not working. 5-star? maybe not.
Computer access The Air Conditioning did not working, The Room refrigerator did not working, Some times the parking card did not work.
At the reception they spoke Italian
O conforto do quarto.
All perfect, clean, frendly and quite.
it was good and comfortable no
Receptionist are really kind. Rooms are clean and confortable. Nothing.
Hotel is comfortable, rooms are nicely fournished. Wifi avaialble in whole hotel. Small dinning room.
friendly staff, good breakfast, kettle and microwave in the room
Rooms were very new and pleasent. The first morning the hotel manager made a specific point of asking us if everything is ok. There is a mall right next to the hotel with a 24 hour Tesco(nicer than the big one in the center of town), a bowling alley, a food court and a Kaufland Supermarket nearby. Location. If you have a car the location is perfect. The closest bus does not go to any place of interest. It is about a 10 minute walk, uphill, to the nearest tram which takes you to the center of town. On a nice day if you have time you can walk to the city center. It took me about an hour. I did enjoy the walk. I chose it due to the proximity to the vet school. Price should have been a bit cheaper due to distance from city center. Weird (but clean) sheets.
I really enjoy my stay in the Hotel Vaka. It is a very peaceful hotel at the end of the City in the area of tesco supermarket. So, it combines many alternative things. Using buses and tram (8 minutes walking), you can go everywhere in Brno. Moreover, since the market is so near, you can buy whatever you want. Considering the parking area is really very very sparse.
Right next to biggest shopping mall. Many restaurants. Not quite finished building-still has construction vehicles in yard. Not attractive at first glance.
I stayed there for 4 nights during the fairs exhibition in a double room on the second floor. So room was nice equipped in new furniture and the kitchen corner with microwave. Flat tv set as well as wifi for free was a nice surprise. The bathroom was enough big. Free of charge car park is also one of Vaka's strengths. Firs of all - Vaka present itself on a booking.com as a hotel but isn't. In fact It's a pension. The list of deficiencies includes items like the missing restaurant, very basic breakfast, room cleaning every second day, location in between a Tesco supermarket and a concrete plant. The noise of passing trucks could be heard since 5am. The elevator didn't work correctly, better go by stairs. The price compered to services is significantly too high.
It was clean and reasonably well appointed but probably falling short of 4 star status, situated in a non-descript out-of-town area but very close to a Tesco Hypermarket and shopping centre. It's location vis-a vis the city.
Location Staff, no hot water, bar closed early. No change of towels.
Friendly staff, good location near city centre
The room was a little bit small, but comfort.
A small comfortable hotel with big rooms that is not far from the center of Brno.
Location was good
Convenient 10 min walk to city and tram and bus stops outside, bar next door No one at desk when I arrived, waited 15 mins. Room only serviced once in 3 days, no change of towels. Waiter at restaurant very surley and unfriendly. Breakfast very poor and ran out of ham every day.
clean rooms, tv, breakfast was nice. Staff was friendly and helped if i had any complainnts or opinions. Id definetly visit this hotel again if price was oki. noisy street right next to hotel, and also noisy in the hallway
very good stay. Hotel is good and rooms very big
Low comfort, Unplesant smells in the corridors. Located on very noisy street - noise woke us up at 6 in the morning
