Prós: Car was new and clean
Contras: The staff was short handed and it took a long time to do paperwork and get keys.
Contras: We did not get the car we reserved. When we came to exchange the car for the one we reserved we were again told it was not available. We had to rent a hotel room and return the next day at our own expense.

The customer service staff at the counter was polite - but would not provide a vehicle.

Contras: Alamo personnel closed their desk and they were gone when I arrived. Avis and Budget were still around. I rented from them.
Contras: Drop off was far away from luggage carts no help to get bags over there.

Contras: We arrived to find a line with one employee issuing cars. The problem was they didn’t have the cars that had been reserved. One lady had been waiting for 45 minutes. She attempted to get assistance from others who were not visible but she wasn’t sure they were even there since they were not responding. I heard her ask if Enterprise had any cars available and then two other employees materialized. We were given a nicer vehicle than reserved at no additional price so that was good, but when you reserve a vehicle 8 weeks in advance, you shouldn’t be kept waiting while folks are scavenging for cars.

It seemed like this took a lot longer to move through the line and get out of the airport than it usually does at other rental places. I was unable to rent the car from them and was forced to make other arrangements at the last minute.. Very Dissatisfied

Prós: Car performed very well and customer service for pick up and drop off were great, but someone had obviously smoked a lot in the car prior to my rental. My clothes and belongings smelled bad as a result. Should not be that way.

Prós: I arrived during normal business hours (Little Rock airport), everything went smoothly, the counter-person handed me the cars and indicated which parking slot number to find the car.
All good there.
Contras: When I got to the car, I noticed some scratches (showing white through the gray paint) on the liftgate, and a two-foot scratch on the passenger door. I didn't care the scratches were there, but I was concerned I might be held liable. There was no walk around by any attendant, and thought, "if they're not concerned, neither am I."
When drop-off time came, the attendant circled the car and asked about the scratches. I explained they were already there, but there was no walk-around. She explained that they don't do walk-arounds, and that next time, I should get an attendant first. Hey, Budget! Why do you put the burden on the customer to decide whether or not they should spend time tracking down an attendant?!? Here's how I will solve it. I won't bother renting from Budget again.

Contras: My car had an odor and I tried to get assistance or an explanation. The site I picked up my car was no help.
Prós: The car itself was in good shape. The staff at the receiving destination were helpful and friendly (the staff at the little little Rock location were rude and unhelpful).
Contras: The staff at the little Rock Clinton airport were very rude to me and delayed my departure by 35 minutes, over the fact that my credit card says "Jay Joiner" instead of "James Joiner". I showed multiple identifications showing my name as Jay, and the manager still was dismissive and unapologetic.

Contras: My car wasn’t ready. Very poor customer service. Waited 45+ minutes on a car with a huge crack in the windshield and needed an Oil change. I will never use thrifty again.
Contras: Their customer service is horrible. I had to cancel my reservation and get a car from hertz because thrifty closed early
Prós: Staff was not particularly friendly, very matter of fact, almost short with you, if you had a question.
Contras: They did not have the car class that was reserved, then insulted my intelligence by trying to give a compact SUV as a substitute for a full size. I paid in advance.
Contras: We were arriving at 11:45 and they close at 11. Why can you make a reservation and find out they were closed? Glad there was a Uber that Kate.

Malibu rental
Prós: The car provided great gas mileage and enough power to maneuver as nessary in today's traffic.
Value was worth renting there. Saved $$ by doing so.
Contras: The car hadn't seemed to have been cleaned prior to re-renting.
The rental service counter was extremely slow. There were 3 people in line at Dollar, and about 30 at another and the other agency finished with all the people in their line before Dollar finished with 3. Other than that, the rental process went fine.

Prós: Myself and a few other passengers on the flight had called Dollar to let them know that our flight would land at 11pm (which was their closing time). We were all assured that they would stay open until 11:30pm. Got to the counter at 11:05pm and they had closed down and locked up. We were all stranded even though we all had reservations. Thank God Hertz was there and got us all rentals. I’ll never use Dollar again. One gentleman who as getting a rental at Hertz explained that he’s had Dollar so this several times and he won’t even attempt to rent from them again. I now have the same stance.

Prós: We were charged a fee for dropping the car in Bentonville even though we booked it that way. We were also charged $10 a gallon for gas which is way more than usual.
