Watched the news and monitored the hurricane! The kids enjoyed the pool and the gym! No! It is a very nice hotel! I wish they had stoves in the suites, that's all!
Never had a suite for a price like this! And the shuttle which drives me also to Central Highschool. On the first day I saw walking a big insect on the floor (don't know the name) but that can always happened.
the breakfast and wifi were a plus!
Great price, great continental breakfast, comfy rooms, comfortable beds, and polite staff
i the rate of the room was terrible for the ammenities they had, the beds was hard has the floor room wasnt clean and they refused us a new room. we had a our 2 yr son and it wasnt ok to have stuff in the floors i ask fo rrefund and was denied that also i will never stay there again
Staff was very friendly. Rooms and lobby were clean. Some of the facilities and room accomodations need to be upgraded.
It is right at the Little Rock airport. It was hot as all get out when we walked in and took a long time just to get comfortable. The toilet seat was broken. It was very small and everything felt worn and dated. At one hundred a night, you get proximity to the airport and precious little else.
location dirty. Bad Wifi. Too expensive for it service.
Staff friendly No small basenette for an infant
Location was great. Can't get closer to the airport. Room smelled so strong with air freshener that it was almost too much to stay. There was also trash still left in the room. Otherwise it looked clean.
Prepared to drop my mother off at the airport
Staff polite No in room amenities. No coffee, hair dryer, towels for one guest. No clear directions to room. No indication at check in that elevator available, 2nd floor room and guests with mobility issues
Nothing Room smelled old electronics very unprofessional staff
All the rooms are finished and the earlier complaints about the horrible construction noise is no longer an issue. I think they are still working on the lobby in parts, but did not bother me at all. Very pretty room, loved the decor. I got a discount price for booking during their construction I guess, and lucked out, for there is no construction, so price was very fair. Parking garage/valet is 22.00 a night, which is steep, but I used it because I wanted to feel safe and it does that. High price for parking, 22.00 a night is pretty high for Arkansas, and wow! Marriott is cleaning up on that one. ha!
I liked the elegance of the place. Made me feel fancy. I didn't like the extra money I spent on things that I felt should have been standard. I should have saved my money and stayed at a cheaper place that provided things such as parking and a microwave/fridge. While I enjoyed the view I don't feel that I should have had to pay additional money for it or parking. All in all it was too expensive for the level of elegance they were selling as standard.
The hotel has been completely redone and you can tell. The rooms are large and well appointed and the bed was comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer. No complaints
I loved the location to the river market district. We were able to walk to the bars and restaurants that we wanted to visit. We were on the 19th floor of the hotel so we had a great view of downtown Little Rock I booked a "deluxe room" for approx. $170 per night, which isn't insanely high, but I definitely could have found better rates at comparable hotels in the area. When I got to the room it was VERY small, and had 2 DOUBLE beds. I called the front desk and confirmed that this was in fact a "deluxe" room and they said yes. I asked if I could pay to upgrade to a room with 2 queen beds, since there were 4 adults in the group, and they said that double beds were the largest beds they had on property for rooms with 2 beds. That was very disappointing considering I can go to a Holiday Inn Express and get a room with 2 queen beds for $50 cheaper per night. Also, the room did not have a microwave or refrigerator. All of the above are things that come standard in most hotels that are significantly cheaper. For the amount of money that we paid, I was not satisfied with the value.
The location is good. I reserved and paid in advance for a room with two beds. I get there and it has one bed. Also, the air conditioning doesn't work. They moved my family to another room with working air conditioning, but we had to have a roll-away bed for the child. It is very inconvenient to had a bed in the middle of a room where it is not intended. The desk clerk brought me my new room key and didn't even say a word. She just handed it to me and walked off. The large tub in the room had dirt in the bottom of it and a cockroach on the edge of the tub. The first morning of our stay, room service did a poor job of making the bed. My four-year-old could probably have done better. The second day, when we arrived at the room at 3:00 P.M., the room had not even been made up. I went to the desk and the clerk said they just hadn't gotten to it yet. I said it was a little late now because we were in for the evening. I had to ask for clean towels. I've stayed here before and it wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. Now, however, the Legacy hotel is very poorly managed and run. I will not be staying there again.
The location provides convenient access to restaurants, interstate system and businesses. The architecture and layout of building is quaint. The fitness center is a nice convenience. The morning attendant day two greeted me on the way out. Main issue was there was no remote in the room upon arrival. I had to go to the desk myself to get one. Two of the three lights in the room didn't work. I reported it night one. Upon my return for night two, only one light had been made functional. This is more a reflection of staff than facilities in my opinion. The bathroom had no counter space--something could be done that still meets the quaintness of the room.
Good value for money. Nice oversized 2 BR apartment suite for ~$100.
Knowing the rich history made my stay a pleasure. The patina that comes with age is irreplaceable. Reminiscent of European boutique hotels. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Location is perfect.
Conveniently located Eating facility & food is thumbs down
Stayed for a weekend while I was in town for a wedding. Since I was short on funding for the trip I chose the Legacy based it's competitive price and location (it's right in the middle of downtown Little Rock, although downtown isn't very large) Other reviews led me to believe the hotel would be a tad run down, however I accepted the risk and booked anyways. The Hotel does show it's age, however it does have that old-timey charm that makes places like this a "boutique hotel". My room was in good shape, clean, and free of defects like peeling wallpaper, missing lightbulbs and leaky faucets. Also had a microwave and fridge, a nice little luxury for the cheapest room in the place. The lobby seemed well decorated to illustrate the hotel's past and the staff at the front were most friendly and helpful. It's not the Ritz, but much more homely and welcoming than a Motel 6. Overall a good Value. Would absolutely reccomend if you need a cheap place to stay in Littke Rock.
I liked how quiet and charming the hotel was. It was clean but outdated, however I didn't choose to stay there because of the decor. There are not any amenities. No ice machine, breakfast, etc. But they do supply a larger mini fridge, microwave and coffee machine. So if you plan to stay there any length of time, take your own snacks, etc. The parking lot is not secured, however I never felt threatened or concerned & I didn't have to pay absorbent parking fees.
It's in a convenient location downtown. It's close to many places that you may be going to in Little Rock. This time, we were going to a concert at the Verizon Arena. It's also not far from the Clinton Museum and the Riverfront area. This was my second time that I stayed here. The first time, I stayed with a friend. She and I didn't think too highly of it. However, it wasn't awful. I was coming back with my husband and his mom for a concert. I wanted a good deal, so I knew it wouldn't be the nicest place to stay at, but I didn't think it would be so bad. However, I realized that I wouldn't stay there again, and I regretted booking it since I had my husband and his mom with me. First, our room was not ready even though it was a little after 3 p.m. when we checked in. However, they gave us one of their apartments instead, which had two separate bedrooms, a bathroom, living room, and kitchen. Secondly, my husband was very disturbed by the carpet that had wax melted on it and lint and things, as if it had not been vacuumed. The most upsetting thing was that the air in our bedroom with a king bed was not working. It was making noise but you couldn't feel cold air. We called the front office. They said they were sending someone. We had to leave for dinner and the concert, so we're not sure if they came to look at it. However, it was not any better when we got back around 10:00 p.m. Third, the bed was not very comfortable. Fourth, which I knew from my first stay, the breakfast is lacking. It had the basics: two choices of mini muffins, only white bread, about 4 cereals, and some not-too-tasty-looking oranges and apples.
The hotel has character and ambiance. The lobby is beautiful and my room was well appointed. The staff was helpful and friendly. I absolutely loved the food served in Filibuster's (the bar/restaurant). It was phenomenal! The staff freshly prepared the dishes from original recipes. Truly a wonderful experience!!! There were only two issues that, one of which was addressed immediately. The toilet in my room would not flush -- maintenance arrived quickly and corrected the problem. The other issue is that the main areas of the hotel were not adequately air conditioned. It was about 90 degrees during the day and the hotel lobby and restaurant/bar were uncomfortably warm. However, the air conditioning in my room worked very well!
Love the history of the hotel. Lobby is beautiful! Location is amazing! And you couldn't ask for muxh more for the price. Will probably always be our choice hotel in Little Rock. The staff is always very nice. Needs some major updates. Even if they don't have the money for updates it needs to be kept cleaner. And simple things like the stair railing need to be fixed. If it was kept cleaner it would come off a lot nicer.
The hotel is old but it was nice and quiet. Staff was friendly. Had a big balcony.
The only thing to like about this entire experience was the staff member who changed our room at 3 a.m., and the understanding front desk woman who had to process our refund the next day. The hotel is filthy and smells terrible. But at 3 a.m. when you find that your hotel bed sheets and pillows are covered in bed bugs, there is nothing worse. We were packed and standing in the hall 3 minutes later, and had it not been 3 a.m. in downtown Little Rock we would have left or slept in our car. That same morning, I booked a different hotel for the rest of our stay and went to the front desk to get a refund. Not only did the owner try to tell me they weren't giving me a refund for that night, but the laundry guy tried to tell us that all hotels have bugs and that maybe they had already sprayed and the bugs just weren't dead yet. It was a completely horrible experience. Just thankful we booked through Priceline and we were able to call them and get a refund processed.
good prices, clean rooms, good location under staffed hotel.
the location was great - clean room, nice gym the staff at the front desk to check in was not professional and needs an attitude adjustment. Her name is Laura.
Definitely worth the money considering its within walking distance of so many things
I liked that it was quite. secluded. The floor with the pool, fourth floor I believe smelled of smoke even though it was a non smoking area and we had to get moved up to the 8th floor. And we were given the lounge privileges for our inconvenience but the lounge was closed. We only stayed one night so that was useless. The beds were smaller than what was photographed on the website. Misleading. The parking garage staff is very rude! Very Unprofessional. I suggest hiring new people to say good bye to your tenants.
This hotel is located in a great location, within walking distance of many restaurants and clubs. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable with an outstanding view of the riverfront. The restaurant and bar have good food as well. It is definitely a great choice for Little Rock getaways or business. Parking and breakfast should be included with the rooms at the price charged.
Great location! We were able to have a great night a restaurants and bars without going more than a mile from the hotel. The rooms are large and clean. The hotel seems almost unfinished, the only available parking is an additional charge to the room. It could use some updating.
Convenient location Still doing construction on the property
Planned power outage / no ac for a few hours
Can't grasp the needs or duvets in warm weather. Just a light blanket is preferable
It gave a great view of the city and was located right by the river market area giving easy access to restaurants and bars. The room was amazing, a lot better than its competition in the area, it was spacious with a comfortable bed. The building is currently under some construction but it causes no issues for customers. The only thing I would change about the rooms is the lighting inside the room was just ok. Unless you get the valet parking which costs $22 a night, then expect to have to walk quite a few blocks for parking during high traffic hours.
Bed was comfortable Shower was horrible... Water jets all clogged. Advised front desk... She did nothing. No apology, no adjustment offered. I didn't ask or demand either. Parking additional charge and wasn't connected to the hotel. Had to drive around the other side of the block. Not convenient.
Nice hotel, convenient hard to actually put a finger on it, just didn't feel welcome
I liked that my room was on the far corner so it was actually quiet at night. Having fridge and micro is nice but I didn't get a chance to use them. Updated bathroom Not very clean, all my towels had stains on them, also the room had a little bit of a smell (like humidity or something) Bed not very comfortable.
Connie was very kind and informative. Didn't have a fridge in our room. Also someone tried to enter our room because they thought It was their room...we had all the locks on, so in not sure if their key was truly active for the room or if they were mixed up.
Free airport shuttle, friendly staff, comfortable room and bed Was recently remodeled, but only cosmetic. There was a pretty large gap between my door and its frame.
It was near the highway The rooms were small and not very clean, bathroom was small and moldy. We were not given the microwave and refrigerator as requested on the initial sign up. Was told only had one room available with refrigerator. Requested items as well room change because there was a strange noise which we heard all night (cricket I presume). The room we changed was moldy also. The door strip was off door and I placed towel. At door to avoided anymore crickets. Our last day we found a roach in the corner of the room.
So convenient to airport. Friendly staff. Plug in sconce by bed too close to the toggle button so I couldn't charge my phone near the bed.
Friendly staff The hotel wasn't modern. I was expecting something a little nicer.
The bed was awesome. Real coffee cups Rusty air vents. Glasses in bathroom still had last guest's water IN them. Tv couldn't get reception on some channels I wanted to watch. Bathroom small.
Bed was ok No ice machine, no remote for tv, both nightstand lights didn't work, mascara smeared coverlet from previous person, had no forks, knives, spoons or cups available when I called front desk for them. Had to hold the handle to the toilet down the whole time just to flush it. Overall terrible service. I never post bad reviews but this deserved it. Road noise unacceptable.
The river market is beautiful. The hotel was a bit uncomfortable. The TV and Internet were terrible.
The location and staff were great! The room was nice and clean with a great view of downtown LR.
Location The room was dirty. There was toothpaste on the bathroom counter and mold in the shower. There was no complimentary coffee downstairs and the "Starbucks" was closed. The front desk guy couldn't tell us anywhere open to go.
i just want to say my stay was wonderful. We had the best service and all the staff was wonderful.
Reasonable rate, reasonably nice, swimming pool, restaurants one exit down, Chinese Buffet great for the very low price
Safe, comfortable, good breakfast, new beds. But older property, appears a little sketchy, but perfectly fine. Looks like abandoned Denny's in lot is about to be opened again.
This hotel is close to several attractions in the area; the staff is outstanding; the rooms are big, clean, quiet, and comfortable; the hotel has picnic area, pool, and vending facilities along with free parking and wifi. What else would you expect for such a low rates? Regardless, they had free breakfast in the morning. The furniture was attracting in room instead of beat up junk. I mean, this is a new home in little rock, arkansas because everytime I come here this will be the only hotel I'm intending to stay at.
Enjoyed my stay. Quiet hotel with easy access to the highway. Good internet speed and helpful staff. Rooms were clean and maid service did a good job. Would stay again. Only negative is that I'm rather tall and the shower head was a bit low for me but this happens a lot to me.
Great hotel in it's day. Needs to be remolded but if just need a place to sleep it was clean, breakfast nothing special if would have paid the full price would have been disappointed.
The neighborhood did not appear to be safe, there was really nothing around the hotel (most things were boarded up). The hotel itself was not in good condition and we saw bugs in corners of the lobby. There is no elevator and we could not carry bags up. We did not feel ok leaving my car in the lot. We decided not to stay the night here and moved to a different hotel.
I would not stay at another Rodeway Inn & Suites unless I really wanted to save money. The initial room we checked into wasn't throughly cleaned. The sink was horribly dirty so we went down to the front desk to let them know. They gave us a new room without question. The service was good. Both of the rooms had a mini fridge which we found bugs in. The towels were old and worn with stains on them. The overall cleanliness of the room was poor. We booked a non-smoking room but it smelled of old smoke. We were also disturbed in the middle of the night by noisy neighbors. It was a cheap place to crash for one night but I wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone.
The rooms were of poor quality-stains on the carpet, door hard to open, and a funky smell to the room. I didn't have stable internet access. I forgot my life n death medication in the room, and they wouldn't let me get it b/c the housekeeper had left, even though it was an EMERGENCY! I had to call customer care for the hotel chain just to get them to release my medicine. They weren't nice to me at all! Finally, it is in a horrible area of Little Rock. Don't ever visit!!
The A/C smelled funky, the carpeting felt grimy so I wore shoes inside. The bathtub failed to drain well, the neighborhood was sketchy, and there was constant noise from the freeway less than a quarter mile away. It was an uncomfortable experience overall and I got out of there ASAP in the morning. But for a brief stop in the middle of a long journey to get a few hours of rest it was alright.
The Motel was clean, comfortable, and quiet. But, there wasn't any place close to eat. The restaurant that was close by had gone out of business.
My boyfriend and I showed up at 3 am, but the desk clerk was there to assist us in everything we needed. We were allowed to extend our check out, and I'm glad because the bed was so comfortable.
Right off the highway, but nothing too much near by at that exit, so it's in a quiet little spot. There is a nice little area with a few picnic tables in front, great for walking my little dog. Staff was very curteous and helpful. Free internet was awesome too, also had a pool (but I was there out of season) & laudary for customers, which is good for an extended stay.
Nice rooms, very clean and outstanding breakfast N/A
The location is close to interstate and businesses. All the employees was rude when you asked them simple questions. They did not service my room the first night even though I sat with maid please sign on the door all day. Leaving trash piled up in the corner. I had to beg for a towel because they wanted two people to use the same two towels for three days. Breakfast was dry and not a big selection. There was a perverted man that worked there who hounded me when I was alone and grabbed his private part from looking at me. Its right beside the projects so I guess thats why there was a brand new Challenger jacked up with the rims stolen from it sitting on bricks. Spending 5 more dollars a night somewhere else would be better and safer for your family.
2 staff members I want to commend , Horce and Bubba... they went above and beyond making us welcome and our stay pleasureable ... a big thanks to them ..They took care of our every need ... our staff members were great also. would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone.. thanks Embassey Suites
Location was convenient for us and the parking garage great as it was raining the whole time. Paid extra for the wi-fi and concession on the floor. Concession had limited variety and only worked 2 out of 6 times we went to it. Dead Bugs in bathroom lights. Closet door wouldn't close without forcing. Door reported, but they just closed it, didn't bother to fix. Requested quiet room, got it until noisy kids moved in next door.
Location and friendly staff Room wasn't very nice compared to other embassy suites and even cheaper Hilton brands
Free breakfast , spacious rooms and very courteous staff, The beds were too small, we had full size beds and we definitely need at least a Queens.
The room and lobby area. The fish pond. I like it all. Very nice.
One of the bus staff at the restaurant was the consummate professional and one of the most truly genuine people I've ever met. His name was Horace and I plan to write a letter on his behalf to the Embassy Suites. He displayed the best customer services I've ever experienced, bar none.
The pool area was very dark and very crowded. The pool had a horrible smell, the kids only swam for a few minutes.
Clean is top priority for me & the beds are very comfortable. Staff was wonderful & courteous. Definitely will continue to stay here when we are in town.
