Prós: The service and property are the best we've seen in southern California we really enjoyed our stay and it's such beautiful scenery that you must stay at this hotel the food was delicious and they even have a car to take you where ever you want to go so you don't have to worry about driving after an all day wine tasting. The concierge will set up tours for you and give you advice on which placeset to visit while you are there a 5 star hotel hands down

Contras: The hotel was very noisy and only moderately clean. There was mold in the bathroom and several spiders in the room. The bed was also unomfortable.
Prós: Atmosphere is nice. Romantic. Room is cozy. Location is by far the best thing. So close to State street. 10 min to anywhere worthwhile.
Contras: A bit noisy in the room. Rooftop is cute but small. Pool and jacuzzi is small.
Prós: Ian at the front desk was absolutely phenomenal. He went way out of his way to make sure we were comfortable, and gave us a fantastic recommendation for dinner.
The valets were extremely pleasant, willing to help and attentive
Contras: They seem to be a bit understaffed.
Prós: Very Quiet, very clean and friendly staff. Centrally located, walking distance to many venues. Great experience.
Prós: Beautiful hotel, nicely located downtown. Great restaurant.
Contras: The pool staff was horrible. So slow, so inattentive, and kind of rude.
Prós: Great service, nice rooms, amazing roof top area with pool/spa
Contras: Rooms and bathroom a bit small
Prós: Lovely decor, comfy bed. Good location to walk and shop. Free bike loaners. Pet friendly. Complimentary wifi and coffee.
Contras: Tiny rooms. Loud street noise all night. Inconsistent seevice, some great, some disinterested. Poor shower pressure. Weak air conditioning in bedroom.
Prós: The restaurant and bar were very nice. Fabulous staff.
Contras: We will be staying again in July as our daughter is getting married very close to the hotel. The individuals we talked to in setting up several suite reservations and possibly doing a bridal lunch were somewhat customer service lacking.
Prós: This hotel was always beautiful - I like modern boutique hotel which this is not and I still love it - kimpton purchased it and added their touches which are great but didnt change the character of a beautiful hotel
Prós: Great location with incredible staff who made sure my stay was top notch. They made my stay worth it.
Contras: Room was becoming worn and torn, with some awkward elements like a flat screen in the bathroom that was too big for the space. I understand they're going for chic, but ultimately fell flat and was silly. Less is more.
Prós: Friendly, knowledgeable staff
Contras: High price for valet-only parking
Prós: In heart of downtown SB, walking distance to Granada Theatre and dining/retail, beautiful Spanish Mission styling. Excellent service at valet parking, front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping. Wonderful canopy bed but definitely used the step stool. Only thing missing was a ottoman to put up your feet.
Contras: Absolutely nothing. Expensive but worth the splurge.
Contras: No Wi-fi, no shower cap, and the fees for every little thing (like parking, food) were very high.
Prós: Tennis courts and overall ambiance
Contras: Room I initially got smelled really bad and we had to get switched. Unacceptable for the price we paid
Prós: The gardens are spectacular and walking to and from room was pleasant stroll. Room was silent sanctuary as was the private patio. Other hotels could learn a great deal by experiences all the small details of simplicity. Nothing fancy, just classic. Delightful place. Every employee seemed proud of their work and part of a team. That is rare.
Prós: It's the Four Seasons, what else needs to be said? Every detail is cared for and it was just a great relaxing experience. The Staff was more than accommodating and went out of their way to take car of our every need. We loved our stay and we will be back since this is now our new favorite place to stay.
Contras: Although we had a beautiful pool side room, we never where unable to secure four lounge chairs together for our family. We had to pay $200 extra a day to go across the street to the Coral Casino and enjoy that pool. Although we loved it at the Coral Casino Pool, their should be some consideration made for those who can not secure lounging at the main pool next to their room to be allowed to use the Coral Casino pool without this additional cost. Especially if seating is unavailable as it was for us by the hotel main pool.
Prós: Eagle Inn is an attractive, clean, and well-maintained property, and is close to Santa Barbara's happening spots.
Contras: We were in room 102, right off the lobby, and adjacent to the breakfast room. At 7am every morning, there commenced from above and all sides such a clamor as to make sleeping past that hour impossible. Perhaps an upstairs room, away from the lobby would be better.
Contras: Very nice hotel with a friendly staff and in a great location. I will definitely stay again
Prós: My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 days 2 nights as a getaway trip from work and we loved our little cottage! We booked the Santa Cruz Cantina and it was perfect for us! We loved the separate rooms and facilities within our own private little house.
Contras: The only problem we had with our room was that the drains in the bathroom sink and bath tub didn't drain properly. The plug seemed to be stuck and had to be lifted/taken out by hand in order for water to drain.
Prós: Our family of four had a great time at the Eagle Inn. Lovely rooms & super bathrooms. Breakfast was prepared and served individually. They even had cruiser bikes available that we used to explore Santa Barbara, which, given the super location, was easy to do.
Contras: We liked the place so much, so didn't mind that there was only one queen bed per room. Rooms are too small for two beds, but fine with one bed. We also had one person who couldn't have taken the stairs, and were lucky to have downstairs room. Not sure if there was an elevator, so visitors should check for availability of downstairs rooms.
Prós: helpful suggestions and cooperation with scheduling
Contras: two blocks from the beach
Prós: Hotel muito agradável, com uma equipe simpática e em uma excelente localização. Definitivamente ficaria aqui novamente.
Prós: Such a great luxurious get away that's only few hours away from SanFrancisco. Staff was so friendly and super helpful. Anything you could ask for, they would provide.
Prós: Helpful, friendly staff who were on it to help you at any turn. Beautiful room, gorgeous pools, lovely setting.
Contras: Deck of pool should be scrubbed down at night ( lots of food waste, ketchup, etc left from previous days) and hot tubs could use a drain and scub/beach situation, a bit smelly.
Prós: Professional, friendly & accomidating
Contras: Wished there were self-park options
Prós: We liked the design and style comfort and the coziness of the place, before our trip I read some of the reviews that people said thier room wasn't clean me as a picky person when it comes to the hotel room,I was so surprised honestly it was very clean ,it's a good relaxing place.
Prós: Absolutely gorgeous facilities with attractive rooms and landscaping.
Contras: Front desk staff was not friendly and the food was exorbitantly overpriced, even for a luxury resort.
Prós: The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Couldn't have been more helpful. The pools are warm and clean, there were good waves at the beach.
I have seen complaints about no self parking, there is, it's about 500 ft before the main entrance, it says bacara, could not be more clear!!
Contras: Not one thing. Serious!
Prós: I proposed to my Fiance at the Bacara and it was the perfect place. I set up all the plans through the concierge in the weeks leading up to the trip and everything was taken care of perfectly...and then some! The staff went above and beyond for us and made it the perfect place for the proposal. If the resort itself wasn't already enough, the staff helped make it the most special time for my fiance and I. I will definitely be coming back and i recommend the hotel 100%.
Prós: Service was solid. Decor and facilities need to be refreshed. Setting is amazing but about 20 minutes north of SB
Contras: Lacked warmth and the little touches- felt like a group business destination. Sterile and needs a refresh.
Prós: Resort was beautiful
Contras: Service was poor and not enough eating pptions
Prós: Location is great, and the ground are fantastic to explore.
Contras: We traveled not during peak season and received what we thought was a great rate, however our discounted rate translated into a down grade in room and service was compromised.
Prós: Great location and amazing views, very relaxing place.
Contras: Too overpriced for what you're getting, not worth it, in my opinion.
Prós: The place is gorgeous.
Contras: The bell service took over an hour to deliver my bags so my kids basically missed out on swimming that afternoon.
The "Beach House" was closed so there were no amenities available at the beach: towels, board rentals, refreshments, etc... This was not made clear anywhere before arriving down at the beach. I was told it was past the end of "beach season" but the weather was beautiful and it was the weekend.
Prós: But it had amazingly comfortable beds. The decor was fancy, the bathrooms were very modern - I see why it was a little more pricey than average hostels. Had a tv in the room, and with decent channels! Location is prime. Had nightly activities but the night I was there, it was cancelled because not enough people wanted to do it.
Contras: The price
Prós: Rooms are not huge but comfortable, new and clean. Staff was very helpful and polite. The proximity to everything--wine tasting, breweries, restaurants, the beach and all the shops on State St could not be better. Also close to the train station.
Contras: no complaints at all.
Prós: We loved the boutique feel of the wayfarer. The quirky designed reception area, mermaid wallpaper in the bedrooms and state of the art kitchen facilities. Location is perfect to explore Santa Barbara. Staff were super helpful. Great value for money.
Prós: *The decor was awesome
*The room was immaculate
*The staff was super friendly
*Free coffee / water / kitchen access
*Very funky space with a big library, board games, and fun activities planned (there was a bar crawl going on the night I got there)
*Super close to the train - 1.5 blocks walking
*Great use of space in the room, including cabinets built into the headboard
Contras: The room, though immaculate, was TINY. I live in NYC, and this was small even by NYC standards. The bathroom floor doubled as the shower floor, which actually worked out rather nicely, but it was an odd adjustment. The space was great for one person, but I'm glad there weren't two of us staying there.
Prós: Perfect match for grown-ups on State Street in Austin. Victorian, main house w/ reception & restaurant, rooms in separate buildings, but faithful, older victorian buildings. Tall rooms, updated baths. Slept in, so it must have been good..
Contras: I liked most everything.
Prós: Quiet, friendly staff, great accommodations, great Food.
Contras: Heater too noisy. But that ok. Dealt with it by turning it off and bundling up.
Prós: Enjoyed the vintage charm and ambiance. Beautiful and relaxing with a very friendly staff. Cozy cottages.
Contras: Beds were too squeaky and the slightly thin walls between your neighbors
Prós: So much to love about this inn... Offers an old Santa Barbara charm-early 20th century design that has been well mainted. Staff was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable of the area (dining, wining, and local history). Continental breakfast in the morning and wine and cheese in the afternoon. Free beach cruiser bikes for use while staying and a vast selection of DVDs for viewing (also free). Complete with pool and hot tub (importantly hidden from street view. Just off the beach within easy waking distance to art, music, wine, food, Santa Barbara train station and fun (aka "the Funk Zone"). Loved our stay!
Contras: Only suggestion is to include an updated cutting board for the kitchen. Original equipment is usually great but not in this particular case.
Prós: Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Great value. Free movies, free bicycles, and free parking. I wish we could've stayed longer.
Prós: Extremely comfy beds!! Ordered the same pillows for our home and will buy the mattress as well...
Kind staff, very clean, great location, beautiful, cozy, spacious, and the breakfast was delicious!!!!
10 out of 10!!!
Prós: The setting is beautiful, the suites are great for family units. Staff friendly and breakfast is amazing!
Prós: O cenário é lindo, as suítes são excelentes para famílias. Funcionários simpáticos e o café da manhã é incrível!
Contras: The hotel felt old and worn out. The Wi-Fi didn't work consistently. The tub didn't drain and even a short shower resulted in standing in ankle deep water.
Prós: We had such a great time and were extremely pleased with the West Beach Inn! Everything about the hotel was perfect.....the staff, the room, the grounds and the pool were exceptional!
Prós: Bed was comfortable
Contras: The walls are so thin that you hear conversations next door and people walking and even moving in their bed above you. If you stay here, at least insist on an upper level room.
Prós: the staff was great, we were greeted with wine, we had to change rooms and they were very accommodating.
Contras: there were little gnats or fruitflies in our rooms (we changed rooms and the fruitflies were there too)- the bathrooms could've been cleaner- the tub had hair in it and could use a little bleach in the corners
Prós: Cute, cozy and quiet place with a very friendly staff. Rooms were pretty small but clean and updated. The beds/pillows were very comfortable. Close enough walk to State Street. Would stay here again.
Prós: Ótimo lugar aconchegante. Piscina aquecida e spa eram excelentes. Me senti muito seguro. Perto de tudo.
Contras: AC não trabalho.
Prós: Excelente acomodação, quarto espaçoso, bom café da manhã de cortesia, estacionamento grátis.
Prós: Decent and attractive accomodations, unbeatable location, staff were all great.
Contras: I was awakened by security discussing the drunken behavior of someone a few doors down. It seemed to go on longer than it should have though I recognize there's only so much control they have. But take note they post lots of quiet hours signs so they must attract partiers on and off.
Prós: This hotel exceeded all expectations. It is an older building and they have done an outstanding job keeping the character while providing modern amenities. The location is great, we arrived and departed town via the Amtrak station, which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Its location near shopping, dining, and nightlife is perfect. And to top it off, I think the highlight is the staff. The people running this place obviously have instilled a high level of courtesy, customer service, and friendliness in the staff. You can't go wrong.
Prós: Historic hotel. Great location!
Contras: A bit noise at night from the surrounding bars but not too bad.
Rooms are a bit small
Only one slow antique elevator.
Prós: Great location, it is right at the very central of downtown area. Close to all the good eating locations. the room is clean. Staff is very friendly.
Contras: THE ELEVATOR!!!! OMG!!!!
Prós: The breakfast and nice size rooms. I like the parking valet system too.
Contras: The wifi does not work, so it's frustrating.
Prós: Location right on State Street where all of the great shops and restaurants are was great.
Valet guys were pretty nice.
Contras: Room smelled slightly smoky even though it was a non smoking room.
Our room was close to the ancient elevator from 1926 and it sounded like our hotel room was in a subway station which was a bummer when we wanted to sleep in.
A bunch of sketchy characters hang out right outside the front door of the hotel on State Street at night.
Wasn't aware that parking was $10 until we arrived at the hotel.
Contras: Room smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. We called the front desk and were offered another room however.
Prós: The bed was so comfy and I like noon check out:)
Contras: The room was a little small
Prós: Rooms had Bottled water and fruit and bathroom toiletries were nice
Prós: Only positive was the location and the proximity to Starbucks in the morning.
Contras: Outdated furnishings that reminded me of the 1970s. Awkward layout of hotel so you can here everyone coming and going. Nothing upscale or even nice about the hotel and the $280 nightly rate is a joke. Hotel is in par with a motel 6.
Prós: The maids were so helpful, welcoming and friendly. Did their utmost to make our stay comfortable.
Contras: Even though we told the front desk when we arrived that we belonged to their Rewards program and were staying for three nights, they put us at the far end of the building where the workers had rooms. They woke up early, made lots of noise loading their trucks and same was true when they returned in the evening. The grounds looked overgrown and dirty.
Bed was old and uncomfortable. Next time we will stay at Best Western on Calle Real in Goleta. Much nicer.
Prós: Friendly and helpful front desk guys
Contras: Old big chair in the room
Prós: It was quiet.
Contras: Needs to be modernized.
Prós: Clean facility
Contras: Noisy employees ,room up against storage room.tight parking
Prós: I liked that it wasn't far from activities, but far enough to relax. I was surprised with how quite it was, with how close to State Street we were. The staff were very friendly and helpful! The rooms were very clean, the building its self is older, however, they seem to have kept up on it very well.
Contras: When checking in, I was told the Internet info was provided on the room card and it was not, but that was a quick fix by just calling the office. They didn't have pool towels ready, but a staff brought them to us when they were dry. Everything I read said the pools were heated, but only one out of two pools were heated. The parking was alittle tight, I have a big truck, but it worked out. Nothing was bad enough to to not come back again. We will definitely stay here again. (:
Prós: It was quiet
Prós: For a one night stay it was good
Contras: Facilities are very old, any time someone closed a door the whole building shook. My son was worried when he could hear the neighbors showering.
Prós: Quaint and private.
Contras: Not close to downtown
Prós: adorable hotel
Contras: housekeeping was ok
found previous tenants things
Prós: Os quartos tinham água engarrafada e frutas, e os produtos de higiene pessoal eram bons
Contras: Water in shower cuts out when someone in another room flushes the toilet. Average hotel next to the freeway
Prós: Very attentive staff, perfect location, quiet comfort and clean property. For such a small property....it had all of the amenities. Very nicely done.
Contras: Historic hotels suffer from ambient noise due to old construction. You can hear guests in other rooms. It comes with the charm.
Prós: Very nice hotel, great staff, and it's so nice to get breakfast in the morning. Only complaint was we have little kids and so needed a room with two beds and the full beds are a bit small...even though they were very comfortable.
Prós: It was an absolutely gorgeous hotel. No two rooms are alike. Classical feel with a few modern embelishments. Heated pool was wonderful and hot tub was great.
Contras: The staff could have been more approachable and proactively helpful. I saw a lot of forheads (looking down at computer screens or otherwise "busy" despite no guests at the desk.
The hot water situation was less than ideal. Nosy yet what combination you did, it would periodically get scorching hot then cold, then resume a tolerable temperature for a few minutes.
Prós: This hotel was so sweet. It had an amazing staff, very accommodating. Awesome character... old elevator! The rooms were clean and comfortable. My husband and I were traveling down the coastline of California so he had stayed in a lot of hotels on our travels, and this one was the best hotel!
Prós: The jacuzzi tub was nice as was the fireplace the could be seen from our bedroom and living room!
Contras: Just minor things here and there. Nothing worth noting in this review
Prós: Same lobby , drive up entrance- like
elavator was not working the enire stay there. I almost brought my parents. Would have been a disaster without elevator. they should have alerted all incoming guests prior to coming in.
New room decor was inferior to the original decor.
Pool water nice and warm- like.
Jacuzzi jets were weak, alomost non-existant.
dissapointed that they removed the Sauna.
friendly staff- like.
Faz parte do charme.
Prós: Lovely, unexpectedly large rooms in a beautifully designed, renovated motel space--Wendy, the owner/manager, is super friendly and accommodating. Totally recommended and would definitely stay here again.
Prós: Easy, Cute , Perf Location !!! UCSB near by !!
Prós: the decor was kind of cute. I just needed a safe place to sleep after bday celebration in DT Santa Barbara and this place did the job. I liked the bathroom sink....and there was lots of shelving to set my hairdryer and makeup and straightener.
Contras: Not as pictured. No kitchenette. Tiny room.
Prós: Fácil, bonito, Perf localização !!! UCSB por perto!!
