I've stayed in downtown Indy quite a bit, and the Westin is by far my favorite of the nice hotels I've stayed at. They consistently do things better than other hotels, and I am often caught off guard by all the little amenities they offer. I couldn't find the pool. There's no clear indication/direction. If you've stayed at this Westin, you know what I'm talking about.
the renovation finishes we not up to par, everything was sloppily done. our roon overlooked a nasty rooftop. we had to pay an additional $30 to park our own car on the premises after the room was over $150. Ridiculous and we expected a beautiful hotel. The whole lobby was under construction and it was embarrassing to have to bring my guest in to that.
Shula's Steakhouse The evening before checkout, I decided to go through all of my accounts and count my money (as I do every evening before going to bed). When I checked the account linked to the debit card that was used to book my room, I noticed several hundred dollars worth of charges (one of which was exactly $300 even). Altogether, I was charged approximately $800 more than what the room costs for the weekend. Such a minuscule theft for the amount of business they've now lost-all of my employees are strictly forbidden to stay at any Westin hotel for as long as I live and my friends/family members will be strongly encouraged to stay elsewhere as well.
The beds! No rooftop access.
Bed was very comfortable...but not enough pillows Found Bed bug in my bedding not on top of bed but under the comforter...television was too small to be seen from far side of the king size bed ....feng shui not good ....sofa perpendicular to media so only could be used to pile coats and luggage on. Heat kicked on and off incessantly and had to adjust the volume on the tv to compensate too loud or not loud enough. Overall ...do not feel like it was worth the money..have had better ammenities in Choice Hotels for half the price....bigger tv ...placed centrally in the room ....bigger fridge AND a microwave and continental breakfast buffet.
The view from our room was of downtown and from the 13th floor pretty incredible. Everything we needed was within walking distance which for us was wonderful. For the cost of the room, tacking on a fee for wifi seemed much. Being in this hotel for business made conducting business difficult and the computers in the lobby were no help. I feel a bit like I paid for more than what I got out of staying in this hotel; beautiful, but pricey.
They upgraded us for free since it was our anniversary which was so gracious and nice!
Convenient with helpful staff. Very nice rooms. Great having a starbucks in lobby. The restaurant in the hotel was a pseudo-high-end steak place, not good for travelling with kids.
Staff was friendly, fitness facility was very nice Hotel was dated and not as clean as I would have liked
The location was great, and cannot be beat. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious and comfortable! Parking should either be included or discounted for those staying. We reserved a King deluxe facing the city and got 2 full size deluxe room facing air conditioning units on top of the conference center. Overall clean hotel, but for a downtown hotel for the price, it wasn't satisfactory.
The hotel room was very clean and nice. The bed was comfortable and the location is great. The room wasn't ready, the floor level was incorrect, and the courtesy call to tell us when our room was ready, never happened. I could of missed my event that I came into town for, if I didn't take my luggage back to my car and not wait around on the room to be ready. The whole lobby was full of unhappy customers.
I was told it was I a descent part of town, it wasn't my daughter won't stay there. And they made me pay.. won't ever go back.
Breakfast was good every morning, Staff was ok but were overwhelmed at times. Water pressure was sometime poor, shower did not put out much water. Towels were not replaced had to go down and get more.
We had the pool to ourselves. There's a $20 parking fee that Kayak does not tell you about, until after you have booked. And then its just a sentence at the bottom of you're receipt. The staff acknowledges that its consistently an issue, but was unwilling to waive the fee... even though parking is not an issue and the lot was 3/4 empty for the duration of our stay. Our room was dirty. Carpet is stained, the shower and shower head is dingy. The sink had hair and stubble in it, that was not our family's. And, someone had re-stuffed tissues that had been pulled out of the tissue box back into the tissue box. I felt like I had walked into someone else's bathroom while they were staying there.
Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good but it is served in an area that has a door to the outside so it was a bit drafty as people left the building. Great location and very close to Lucas Oil Stadium. Very thankful for the parking garage too! Noise from guests in the hallway was very annoying. They would leave their rooms and let the doors slam shut. As they walked down the hallway, we could also hear them talking while we were inside our room. We checked in more than an hour after the 3:00 check-in time but our room wasn't ready for another 15 minutes after we checked in.
The shower curtain had mildew on it, the carpet was so gross i didn't want to be barefoot on it, the room in general was not as clean as it should have been
Good Hotel!! Nothing
We liked the fact that it was convenient to city attractions, had a restaurant, and indoor pool. The parking fee could be adjusted!
The hotel still had that new feel to it. Everything was very clean and the services that were provided were excellent. The Bar was nice and the service was great! I will be staying here again in the future.
There was a t-shirt left behind by one of the guests before us.
I like the fact that the location was in a good place and I could make it where I needed to go in no time The stains on the carpet on the couches
Not much Trued to check in before a concert at 10 Am. Knew it was early but thought I would try. Room wasn't ready but no problem desk help said they would go ahead and assign me a room. Tried to check in at 5:00pm. Room still not ready. Noy happy. Couldn't shower/change before concert. Went to check-in at 10:30pm. Was told there were no rooms available. I made my reservation 6 months in advance. So...did not have a room. Had to drive two hours home. What a mess.
Location in downtown Indianapolis wa excellent
Great location, right next to Monument Circle and in the midst of restaurants and shopping. Hotel and room were very nice and very clean. Breakfast buffet was excellent (does not necessarily come with every room, but came with our reservation through Booking.com). Pool was nice, but small.
The staff was great. They helped us plan our night when plans were changed and they gave us amazing advice. One reason I picked this hotel was to enjoy the pool and it was closed for cleaning.
The location was great A couple of mornings, coffee in the lobby was left over from the night before
Front desk staff was fantastic. I left my Ipad in the car that was valet parked and they retrieved it in a flash! Connor, the valet supervisor, gave excellent directions for walking to Mass Ave. and was very cordial. Room was very quiet and the bed was so comfortable. Would absolutely return to this hotel!!
the hotel charged my credit card for the stay when i had already been charged by the online booking service and the hotel also charged the online booking service and i have yet to get assistance resolving the matter. i talked to two different people who have told me two different things. When i asked for a copy of my receipt they sent me a blank receipt. When i checked out, i was told the total charge to my card and then told "oh, i wasn't supposed to tell you that". They had asked me to pay again, saying my credit card was declined. When i got home, my credit card statement said otherwise.
old fashioned, elegant, good breakfasts, very kind and helpful personnel, very good localization dirty windows, windows can not be opened, noisy air conditioning
The air conditioning in my room went all the way down to 50 degrees, which was definitely the highlight of my stay.
i enjoyed the hotel thought it to be a little pricey but was right down town beautiful city large rooms great beds free internet parking not connected to hotel slow room service
We liked the friendly staff from the minute we walked into the lobby- everyone was very helpful! The hotel was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do! Fabulous weekend!! We never did get the comfort beds to work but slept ok anyway!
Great to be within blocks of all the activities on monument Square. All employees were very nice and accommodating.
Stayed at this hotel as most others in area were sold out. (They also sold out that evening by 6pm.) Free 'happy hour' was hot dogs, mac 'n cheese, and chicken tenders, with one choice of draft beer or wine. Hotel was not prepared for a full house - they were sold out of bottled water at their little store, and were out of coffee each of the 3 times we tried to get some in the morning. Although less than 10 years old, the rooms are very dated looking. (Picture a round dial wall thermostat, floral pictures in gold frames, and a recliner in your room.) Beds were pretty comfortable though. Definitely not a hotel for the business guest!
The hotel had a lot of good features if you had kids with you. The staff was great. The only thing we didn't like is the room had a funny smell.
The only complaint is the 2 night minimum booking for special events. .......didn't plan on staying for 2 days.
The Drury Inn was our stopping point on our way home to Michigan from a Florida Spring Break trip. Normally, after 12.5 hours of driving, any hotel looks excellent. But this one really is. The front desk attendant had a genuine smile ready as I walked in the lobby. Check-in was fast and efficient. And... I could smell freshly popped popcorn. A favorite. The elevators were swift and efficient (did I mention we were tired?) and the room was clean and fresh. We only enjoyed if for about 30 minutes before we conked out, but it was very nice. This is our second Drury Inn, and they both get high marks.
Hotel was super-convenient with easy freeway access. Room was quiet and very large; beds were a little soft for my preference but pillows were great. Breakfast was incredible -- items were fresh and hot, and much more selection than your typical continental breakfast. Coffee was very good -- a definite plus!
I've stayed at this hotel several times while visiting my brother. Even though there are many other hotels closer, I always go out of my way to stay here. The hotel is clean, the staff members are friendly , and the included breakfast is plentiful, with a nice variety of food.
Top notch hotel - super clean everywhere - friendly, helpful staff all the way around from every employee we encountered. Rooms are nice and have room darkening curtains, beds were very comfortable, nice bathroom/shower. Free hot breakfast was excellent and saved us time and money, free dinner consisted of salad, baked potato, macaroni/cheese, hot dogs, chips, etc - nothing fancy but all good. Gave us a card for three free drinks from their bar area for hours between 5:30-7:00 pm each day! Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone I know looking to stay in the Indianapolis area - no complaints!
The staff was very professional and kind. The hotel was clean and new. The breakfast was a substantial buffet for being included in the price. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Wish the dinner was later for guests checking in late, but there are many nearby places to eat. Make sure your GPS gets you on the bypass, instead of going through downtown.
Morning and evening food is a VERY nice touch...........
I stayed here while attending a local convention. It's a bit of a drive from downtown Indy, but that's the only 'con' about the hotel. It was clean and I found the staff to be VERY friendly and helpful. The breakfast and evening meal are included and were a nice added value.
Ambience and location
Excellent location. Small, well appointed hotel with a pleasant, helpful staff.
It was a very nice hotel inside and the doormen were very friendly and welcoming; the bed was comfortable, although we didn't care for the feather pillows. The woman at the front desk was slightly condescending based, i'm sure, on our appearance (we didn't get fully dressed until we got ready to leave the hotel for the evening); also, the room was a little smaller than we expected for the price-not at lot of space to move around.
The location was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was very clean and comfortable.
We left with what appeared to be some sort of bites. After some investigation, we discovered they were bed bug bites. And they turned into very itchy and painful sores. More developed in the next couple of days. We did call so they could exterminate the bed. Frank said he would comp the room. We never asked for it but why say it if you aren't going to do it.
The staff we saw were polite and the rooms where pretty large. Room had a slightly weird smell at first but went away after about a hour. Son locked bathroom door and shut it with him outside around 8pm. Went to front desk and was told only maintenance has a key and won"t be back until morning. We had to change rooms and thankfully none of our stuff was in there.
Kayla (overnight shift) was very accommodating, my flight arrived at 2am in IND airport got to the hotel at 3am. She was very understanding, the reservation wasn't cancelled. Kayla even helped me out with some supplies as stores were closed and I couldn't get any. Thanks Kayla!!! For me this hotel had what I needed. Facilities were a little outdated, the gym consists of four pieces of equipment which two were out of order (per the sign on them). The iron in the room was dirty, had to warm the iron up and use it on a towel to make sure it wouldn't stain my dress shirts. Lastly on the day of my stay housekeeping started banging on my door at 9am saying I was supposed to be checked out. Even though check out is by 11am. overall I do feel I got my money's worth $59/night for a queen size bed a recliner and TV count me in!!!
Staff was articulate and clear on all explanations. They brought us the kitchen amenities we needed before we even say down in the room. Were not over barring. The room service wasn't available since we were only there two nights; this was a plus because that limited the amount of "*knock knock* room service " we heard from the hall. Room was quite small. Any more than 2 days would've been stressful. The door has enough space for your fingers to reach underneath to the other side. This allowed a great deal of light into the room at night. There's also a lower set peephole that allowed light right at eye level when sitting in the chair.
Seemed relatively quiet on a Tuesday night. Staff, cleanliness, no crib or pack n play available, breakfast packed away promptly at 9:30, linens were not changed.
Staff was friendly. Excellent location for my needs. Kitchen appliances were clean. Vending machines accepted credit cards for late-night snacks. Extension cord used for lamps was blackened, indicating a potential electrical problem. Hot water very slow to heat up. Walls are paper-thin; I was next to an elevator and didn't sleep well because of it. Microwave was missing turntable. The security latch malfunctioned, first locking me out of my room then breaking all together.
I really liked the layout of the room and the easy access to all the shopping and entertainment.
The staff was wonderful and went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable. I would especially like to thank Shelley Maher - she went completly out of her way to help us and make sure we had one of the larger rooms for our anniversary. She even sent me info. on the places nearby that were having a Thanksgiving meal - it is people like Shelley that will make us return and tell everyone to stay at Embassy Suites. We had been approved for an early check-in and were even an hour later than we had asked. However, when we arrived from our 2.5 hour road trip on Thanksgiving the room was still not ready for 2 hours after we had arrived. Being that it was Thanksgiving and everything was closed or booked, there really wasn't anyplace for us to go. It would have been nice if they would have been able to get the room ready a bit sooner.
Very good locatin.
This was a great hotel; wonderful service with a great downtown location. You're within walking distance of great restaurants, Circle City Mall, Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. The staff was extremely helpful. We will return again.
convenient location and nice room one elevator was out of service, which led to delays getting to and from room
The Hotel staff are very courteous and helpful. We needed directions and the personnel at the front desk were very obliging, We came to Indy to ride our bikes on the Monon Trail so the location of the Hotel was good, the trail starts on 10th street. It was our second trip to your Hotele but not our last, let your employees know they do a excellent job.
The only part I liked was the staff and location. The room was cold...no heat. 2 lights were out in the room at check in...another was falling out of the ceiling. The view from our room was nice...but the window had face prints all over it n I told my daughter not to touch it. The shower had hair in it at check in. I had to ask for toilet tissue because it was not refilled during cleaning. Everytime we went to the pool we had to ask for more towels...and sometimes they weren't received before we were done swimming. I am a single mom and we were there for 4 days...the staff was very helpful...but the hotel was not at all what I expected.
5 star resort if compared with an Army installation where I stayed for the two weeks prior arrival. It made feel like a human again. Thanks a lot to all the staff. Also excellent location (accessibility) near airport.
The rooms were really nice - with a little spa package on the bed and everything! Do not be turned away by the entry into the building; the rooms are actually quite nice! I slept great even though we were right next to the airport! Not good for a light sleeper, but they include ear plugs in the bathroom. Room service was decently priced - but would have liked to see more options for vegetarians and gluten free folks! This hotel is in desperate need of a nicer entryway!
Beautiful spacious rooms with super comfortable beds, spa scented lotions and fragrances, and huge windows! Staff was very helpful upon check-in.nt was the restaurant - slow service even though the place was basically empty, and the scallops were tiny and very dry/rubbery. Croissant bread pudding helped make up for it though ;-) Overall a VERY good value for the money! My only disappointment was the restaurant - slow service even though the place was basically empty, and the scallops were tiny and very dry/rubbery. Croissant bread pudding helped make up for it though ;-)
Room comfort, very polite and helpful staff The pool was too small for family fun
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel and room are very clean. The mall is connected to the hotel which is a very convenient bonus. We did order room service and the food was very good. The exercise equipment is a little outdated and not functioning well. Several of the treadmills' computer panel would not respond. The breakfast was good not great, I would like a few more options but it was good with good fresh fruit, oatmeal, cereals, eggs, etc.
Room was great!!! Quiet and relaxing atmosphere!!! Love that this hotel is close to the Fashion Mall and many great restraunts!!!
Bed and pillows were comfortable. $10 charge for WiFi. Room had only one serving of coffee.
My priority with picking a hotel is cleanliness, and this hotel delivered. It also has a great location, and it feels great to be able to walk to the mall and restaurants after being on the road all day. That the wifi is not free.
Staff was very frindly and helpful, close to shopping and good food we stayed 7 floors above the pool and the chlorine smell was very bad. And the pic. and wording did not go with our room.
Excellent view, fast elevators, handsome lobby, pillows of varied thickness. Paying for wifi, paying for parking, noisy neighbors. This is trivial, but it mattered to me: the paper coffee cup they provide in the room leaked on my white shirt while I was in a meeting.
Very nice rooms. Comfortable beds! Very well kept. Breakfast not included and was expensive if you wanted to order it.
Clean, good location, good service there was construction on my floor but it had no impact on me.
Clean, and comfy. Walking distance to most of the entertainment downtown has to offer. Paying 30 dollars a day to park in the hotel garage.
Heat did not work in our room. Brr!! Would only go up to 62 degrees.
Big room. Several restaurants at the hotel. Connected to the mall Had to pay to park...I guess that is expected in the city though. Hotel was great though!

The staff was welcoming! THIS IS NOT A 3 STAR!!!! Absolutely disappointed at the star rating because it does not meet the expectation of a 3 star. It's more of a 2/2.5, but NOT a 3!!! That was a huge blow because that is not what I expected for what I requested.

The room wasn't ready when we arrived at 2:50 pm even though the listed check-in time was 2:00 pm. They did a good job of trying to get us into the room quickly but let us know that towels were not yet in the room and would be delivered later.
The location was great. Close to plenty of restaurants, and a short ride to Lucas Oil Stadium. The room wasn't so clean. Cobwebs, dirty towels in drawers, wet washcloth on floor, and stained dust ruffle.
Location This is NOT a 3 star hotel. Someone needs to explain how a hotel with an average rating of roughly 6 stars is considered a 3 star hotel. The owners obviously don't care about this franchise. No elevator. Breakfast was in a closet
the staff was very friendly. check in and check out was quick and painless. hotel was quiet, even with a number of kids in the hotel. Breakfast was very good I did not much care for the beds. Everyone else in my party liked them just fine so it was probably just me.
The room was nice and updated except for the bathroom. The staff was very helpful. It was surrounded by restaurants. Bathroom had mold and torn trim. The fan sounded like a hurricane, it would hurt your ears. There is no elevator. There was a bad odor that hit you as soon as you walked into the room. It never went away. They had no extra pillows , towels need bleach.
We check into our room and it was a strong smell of urine through out the room. We asked for another room but it was not clean. My wife and I was not please with our stay. The breakfast was also very disappointing.
Location It took 4 attempts to get a key to work to open a room. One of the rooms smelled so badly, the desk clerk wouldn't let us stay in it. She did everything she could to help us. Seems like the owners don't pay much attention to detail.
Nothing one of my worst stays ever The room was horrible, no elevator they didn't switch my room when I requested when I woke up to shower there was ants on the floor & on one of the beds also i seen a mouse run across the bathroom floor i checked in late and was checked out early bad stay

The location, inexpensive parking, friendly staff, clean pool & spa.
Roomy....usually stay at Omni, but having little kids the suite is much more practical. Breakfast wasn't that great, but it's free!
full kitchen, sitting area in suite, snacks in evening and breakfast in the morning small pillows-why have a king bed with pillows smaller than standard ones? Our room wasn't serviced on the Friday we were there. Ran out of bathroom tissue...used kleenex and had to use a hand towel to dry after showering as no clean towels available.
