shuttle bus to canton fair. bus stop to HK. food is convenient at that area. 5th floor italian resturant is 50% discount, valuable. to MTR about 10 min. I stayed 4 nights, one night they forgot the bath gel, and sampoo.
nice bath room arrangement in the rosedale room (Floor 26) money exchange limited to 200 USD only
I requested since booking to stay in the non smoking room, but the staff still put me in the smoking floor. So I requested to move and they move me to the room where smaller and cheaper than the cost I paid. So I denied to take it, finally, they moved me to the non smoking floor in the type of room that I booked. And it's such a waste of time!
I like the hotel because eventhough they never received the reservation from booking.com: they gave us the room at a good price.
Room upgrade and free bus to the international fair Travel desk wanted 7% to use credit card. Desk staff inflexible
traffic and shopping old decoration, old furniture, old equipment, all are not worthy of the room rate
The size of the king size bed was great; the breakfast buffet opening hours were good (you don't have to rush). The room and halls of hotel look old; the bedroom was spacious with big bed but everything looks old with no real facilities. The TV was small and very, very old. All of this would be very acceptable for a budget hotel but not for a hotel this type. The value for money is quite poor.
. he food is terrible.....the breakfast is so bad,i was sick one day.I was charged one price leaving and as i was in a hurry didnt check the receipt.they then took another 2ooo aus dollars off my creditcard without my permission....now i have to check who and how they took it.
Friendliness of Staff. English Level of the hotel staff was poor. I found it quite difficult to communicate and understand their speech.
Upon checking in and having booked a standard room I got a suite with separate bedroom and 2 bathrooms Super hotel
Major problem with english in the first dayon my 3rd day check out :The 2 only receptionists dont know a single word in English My video camera was stolen from the roomThe hotel manager was supportive in his investigations but the camera is gone with hundred of valuable photos from 9 hours digging in the canton fair !communication language is impossible here..No Massage or SPA as specified.Taxi arrangement is going through comissions between the security and drivers .! Be ware !
Very nice members of reception specially Mr.Leon who speak good English and in general very professional additional so helpful Person. We got very nice suite with separate living room plus work desk incl. PC. Excellent sushi on the Lobby level and an incredible rooftop restaurant on the opposite corner. Because interesting locations, due to the uniquely correct treatment by Leon (reception Manager) we will gladly come back.
Room is big. This hotel is a lie. I've seen when I went it is false:
Very close to metro and decent restaurants. Hotel staff personally guided me to a pharmacy 15 minutes away and paid for the taxi ride. Very difficult to find. Bed was hard. Only one staff member spoke English despite 'English' being listed as an amenity. Laundry costs were high, and stains were left on clothes suggesting they were washed wet and together despite a dry cleaning request.
Clean and spacious room, very good bed, comfortable table and chair for work, good conditioning system, lots of shops and cafes on the way to metro (8 min walk). I chose this hotel mainly because of the location on the map, which happened to be wrongly marked on booking.com map. I spent 2 hours going around some govermental building in a park looking for the hotel. To all travelers - check the correct location in google-map.
Only the cleanliness and comfortable hotel room. Most of the furnitures are new and we take a good rest there. The distance between the hotel and Metro station is too far. It takes around 15 minutes walking. The hotel address also is confusing. It is not located in Yue Xiu district but Hai Zhu district. The problem with english hotel name makes it very difficult to find and even the locals doesn't know about this sam q hotel. It is recommended to provide hotel name in chinese character.
Breakfasts are not fantastic and are the same everyday however try their Dim Sum and Dinner which can be quite good and worth the money. 5 mins walk to a train station but if you're going to places near by just take a cab, it's not a lot of money. Nothing much to complain about with that price. Staff were not very helpful and polite while checking in. Dustbins were not clear when we enter the room. There's no wireless internet like what the net says so it's only cable.
Location next to subway and low rate No elevator to the 7 th floor, need to up to the 6 th and than take stairs, hotel stuff speak very little english and the breakfast included suitable for Chinese people only !!! No bell boy to help with bags up/down stairs.
We like the location of this hotel very much. The room was also very convinient - very quiet and enough of space, bed was good and furnitare in a good condition. We didn't like the way of payment. There are big difference between currency in bank and hotel (they have they own). We bokked room in US dollars but hotel asked us to pay in dollars in a big percent difference 15% or bigger. And also there are some misunderstanding in types of the rooms. At the hotel and at the web there are differents in names. They wanted to give us room that was cheaper that we booked. The breakfast was sooo poor you can't imagine for sure:)It was a pot of "glue"-soup with plain water and seeds of rice, and for desert 2 small oily bread pieces.
