I can say much as I got there around 10 00 PM then I went to bed next mrning I left. As i bookeed the hotel on web it loooked so nice but when I got therer it was the totally different.
the receptionist was very helpful, hotel was fine, very near to the city center which is full of bars and restaurant
It was clean and fine, with REALLY close parking. The clerk was friendly, and it was super affordable. And the view of the mountains was great!
very good. Staff is available and breakfast essential but good. There is fridge and not much noise. It is in very good position to visit Grand Canyon
The rooms were clean! The beds were comfy.
great space room, good beds and free parking and internet breakfast was horrible! first no milk for serials, no jam or anyting for your bagel. Only jus and coffee available. after complaining, there was some milk and cheese cream.
They had a fridge and microwave in every room. They let me have a late checkout. The only bad thing, the 2nd day, I came back sunburned and grabbed the lotion bottle they leave for you and it was used already, almost empty. That was pretty gross.
Able to park right outside door of hotel, parking lot was well lit, friendly staff. Bed was uncomfortable, it sunk down in the middle, towels were very thin.
price lousy wifi
One night stop - convenient for visit to Grand Canyon.
Rooms were big and clean, internet was great!
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast came in handy, and the kids loved the waffles. The hotel is pet friendly and allowed all sizes of pets. There was a dog that kept us up with it's barking. And another dog that jumped on my daughter when we entered the elevator.
Free breakfast and dinner Free wifi
Room size and comfort Barking dogs.
Staff very attentive and friendly. Wonderful breakfast to start the day. Bed was not comfortable at all...
Nothing Staff was rude, room and hallway smelled, room decor was very dated, difficult parking and access
Location to NAU and they are pet friendly
hot breakfast was good, front desk staff were good paper walls, i could hear everything that wasn't in my room, sleep sucks when it's not quiet.
Nice quiet location that is close to many attractions and restaurants. The breakfast selection was better than I expected. The air conditioning did not blow any air; luckily it was Fall and not too warm. The worst part was the window did not open either. The water in the shower would squeal as it warmed up.
Proximo do Grand Canyon.
Staff was super friendly, whirlpool tub in the room was great, location was great, breakfast had cheese omelette, sausage, toast, yogurt, and more! And they gave you to go lunch bags with apples, water, breakfast bars, and mints! Was so pleased with this hotel :) Everything was great!
My wife and I had a terrible night sleep. All of the pillows in our room were flat.
This hotel is by far one of the better places to stay. I've been a resident for over 50 years but currently don't reside there and know Flagstaff hotels and motels well, this one I will stay at again if the need arises. Worth the money, and very comfortable. The parking stinks but that's a minor drawback. Everything else was good. Parking
The room looked like a renovated "motel" room.
Quiet and safe. Staff was very helpful and kind. Thought the price was a bit on the high side.
Didn't end up staying at the hotel. I made this reservation after traveling 16 hours one day. My sister reserved the room at $65 over what the Kayak advertised price was (she called the hotel before I could tell her the price). I told her to call back because it was only $124 on Kayak. While on a three way call with the front desk, the guy told us to book through kayak to get the good price, and he'll cancel the current reservation. So I did. Then, 30 minutes later I got a call from booking.com (who I booked through on kayak) and they said the Hampton Inn called them and cancelled my reservation due to overbooking. This was 30 minutes after the front desk guy told me to book it online. Obviously, something was a bit shady about that. On a positive note for Hilton, booking.com directed me to the doubletree hotel in flagstaff which was awesome. Very clean, very accommodating. Needless to say, I'm a bit concerned about the integrity of the Hampton Inn in Flagstaff.
Very clean good breakfast Would return
Breakfast Smell of wet carpet
It was cheap. I'm pretty sure a stain on the bath mat looked like feces and the shower didn't really work (the tab was impossible to pull up and so only a little water would come through). The room smelled as though it may have been a smoking room though it said non smoking. Our reservation stated queen and we had two fulls. Overall though I didn't expect more for the price, got a good nights sleep and moved on with our trip.
We wanted something inexpensive and that's what we got. Everything was clean and there was a large tv. We would stay there again. It was definitely an older motel. There was an old vent with chipping paint my toddler would not leave it alone. There was a carpet "base board" it was not attached to the wall completely near the vent and sharp staples were exposed. This wouldn't normally have bothered me but with a one year old we were constantly having to keep him out of trouble. The bathroom door didn't shut properly but as a family sharing a room it didn't cause an issue.
Shower had good pressure. i got a good nights rest and none of our belongings were stolen. The door on the bathroom wouldn't close all the way. The bathroom vent on the ceiling wasn't screwed in so it was hanging making this loud drone when i'm use. The beds are of the box spring type.
Booked a non-smoking room, walked in the room and discovered that i was given a smoking room. Went to the front and (Alex) apologized and was very accommodating! Hooked me up with a non-smoking room! ... Not the Hilton or any 5 diamond resort, but definitely better service and better building upkeep than the other 'budget' motels within 3/4 - 1 mile of this location (temporarily living/extended stays while relocating out of state, so I've been 'trying out' all the motels within walking distance to NAU/work)... The L motel and the Ho-Jo Inn a few blocks down have the best customer service and... All the local 'budget' motels in the area require filling out the same 'generic' post card at check in (no business name, driver license into, etc.. all identical... Etc..... Very sketchy! Identity theft? Who's running a scheme?
Carpet was peeling, toilet took about 4 flushes to get anything down, shower knob might as well have been a safe tumblr, had like 5 off positions and I ended up burning myself multiple times with scalding hot water. But at least we had hot water unlike the other rooms. Sink wouldn't drain, bed left my back sore, pillows were hard ad a rock. Found empty liqour bottles behind the bed. Only one roll of toilet paper and one bath towel even though I reserved a room for two adults. The RFID keys they gave us were real finicky. All the door frames were warped, couldn't Latch the bathroom door. Had vagrants approaching me for change when I was sitting outside my room. I've had better living accommodations in Afghanistan.
Very friendly young manager. Plenty of hot water. Generally clean. One comfortable bed. Realize that my opinion is colored by paying $200/night for a room due to being Northern Arizona University graduation weekend. Considered it a $60/night kind of place. Old motel with some updates but don't expect anything "new". Temp in 30's and old heat did not work when we first arrived and room was in low 60's. Eventually did but took a while. Bathroom floor ice cold, thank goodness for the hot water. One bed had extreme sag, other was comfortable.
Absolutely filthy. Noises, drunk college kids everywhere and drug deals going on in the parking lot.
Nothing Poor accommodations, including no phone in room, no desk or chair to work at, dark colors in room. Nothing like the pictures used to advertise the facility. Fire safety hazards such as one outlet have a three-way strip plugged in, and a power strip connected to that power strip that in turn powered the fridge, microwave, coffee pot and a light, really surprised the fire department hasn't fined them or shut them down. And the walls are paper thin, heard everything going on in the adjacent room, every single moan. Not sure if the L stands for "low budget" or just "love". Sure, the price was low, but it still was too much.
Cheap Needs a lot of work
The room was clean and the staff were friendly. Small room/bathroom, lumpy pillows, no DVD player, dated decor
We pulled into Flagstaff at 9:00 at night with no room to stay in. Everywhere else that we tried, had no vacancy. I found the L Motel online; reviews were good. We ended up paying WAY more than I normally would like for a room like this. But I suppose that's what happens when you book last minute and there are no vacancies elsewhere. I was pleasantly surprised with the room. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness (most important) , the motel was quiet ( no one hanging out or drinking out side) and the beds were decent. If I ever find myself in Flagstaff again, I will definitely stay at the L Motel.
I liked the low price, convenient location to restaurants and shops, friendly staff, free parking, clean rooms and working amenities (Wifi, heater, TV, clock). I stayed in a lot of inexpensive motels on my holiday road trip, and this was far and away the best one. It was also the least expensive. They only had decaff coffee for the pot in the room. That probably isn't the norm, though.
Excelente equipe! Quarto muito limpo. Ótima oferta para um preço baixo
The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The location was next to anything you needed.
I liked that the hotel seemed to be in very good condition--nothing appeared worn out and the parking was adequate so that we didn't find ourselves hunting for a space. The price or the room seemed out of line with what we paid for a stay at another Marriott of comparable size and quality. It was 40% more to stay here than at a Courtyard in Abilene, TX and a Residence Inn in Albuquerque, NM.
Location Dirty, loud AC and construction next door, dogs barking in room next to us, breakfast not good
Bathrooms need update
Tiana at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. All suggestions she provided me regarding food were local and awesome! She made checking in easy and not stressful at all. Free breakfast. FREE BREAKFAST. Even a little after 9am which is very convenient for some late risers. There wasn't a lock on our bathroom door.
We came to Days Inn for our honeymoon and it was the worst decision we ever made. We had stayed in Days Inn in different states and locations in Arizona and it was awesome. However, this was the worst stay I have ever had in my entire life. There were spiders in the hallway. We paid for a non-smoking room and the room smelled like it had been smoked in for months buy a chain smoker. We were put in a room under the stairs (123) and we heard luggage constantly banging up and down the stairway all hours of the day and the night so we didn't get any sleep at all. We complained at the front desk and they put us in a room with two queen beds which also was awful because I am 6 foot 7 and don't fit on a queen bed even by myself, so trying to fit on it with my new wife was not going to happen. We complained again and finally got a room with a king that still smelled bad. The bed was like sleeping on a slab of concrete it was so hard. We had to go buy a mattress topper and a DVD player and a candle so that the room would even be bearable. The TV and Wi-Fi also did not work. Overall it just sucked. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Convenient location. Free continental breakfast. Fridge and microwave in the room. Nothing spectacular, just a place to sleep (which is what you'd come to expect, given the price). Arrived 90 minutes before check-in, so we were told to explore the town. When we came back 2 hours later, we were told that they didn't have any king bed rooms available yet, which is what I reserved. We had to wait another 2 hours for our room to be available. I was disappointed that our reserved room was given to someone else, making us wait an additional 2 hours. May as well have told us that check-in was at 5:30pm.
Right off the freeway. Continental breakfast Included. It was well kept but overall the whole place was older with minor remodel work here and there.
The hotel was misrepresented, they did not have the amenities the website said they had. We did not stay there, went elsewhere but still was charged. False advertising I didn't stay there, I didn't like that the website said they had things that they did not actually have
Staff waa very helpful with my reservation Bed was hard.. Definitely not comfortable after a long day
Friendly staff, clean rooms and overall cleanliness, convenience to nau, restaurants, laundry, food shopping and easy access to freeway..... Mild freeway traffic noise at night...
Thin floors - we were awoken at 2 am by the person above us simply walking around. The floor between us was so thin I am surprised it didn't fall through under the weight of a couple of feet. Lame breakfast Dirty towels Clumps of hair found on bathroom wall
Linens were old and had some stains. Shower curtain too.
I liked it that it had a indoor pool my son loves to swim And the free wifi wad the best
Ease of access Terrible breakfast, uncomfortable beds.
The staff was excellent and always friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The indoor pool was a nice feature. Also, the included hot breakfast was good The proximity to the railroad tracks. The train came by about every 15-20 minutes and was very loud.
Nothing, totally disappointed wiht this place.I Have paid for one Queen suite wiht sofa bed and first they put me in a room that have other guest alredy, was such weird situation when we open the room and saw a couple with kids. After that the staff told us about a mistake with our reservation and the only option would be a inferior room but they charge the same price. We choose this place because we have a road trip as a couple and my stepchild 14 yo. We choose this place just because the separate area as described and the website and after all the only option was acept that room . At the time of our checkout me and my husband had tried explain the situation to the manager and wass the worst part at all he told us the problem was in the booking.com because they don't have this queen suite with sofa bed and separete aerea, just awful. I don't recomend this place, very very disappointed. Bad staff, they put some offer that doesn't exist. I paid for a superior room and they put me and my family at the standart room but charge as a queen suite.
My kids liked that there was an indoor pool. Everything was so old. Nothing has been replaced for decades. All doors and furniture were scratched up. All blankets were faded and rough. It was on of those places I wouldn't let my kids on the carpet with out at least socks.
Nice Rooms and quietness A very annoying receptionist, who was blaming me for not filling in that we came with three people, but I surely did. This was a very unpleasant entrance. Also other guest faced this problem.
hotel was great, nothing can beat the price, room was clean and guiet, would definately go back. 2,0 hours away form the grand canyon.
in comparison to other hotels at this price breakfast was quite okay.
very nice hotel for the money
Cheap, Convenient to Grand Canyon, Offer Breakfast, Close to shops, great location on Route 66. Just the parkings.
The staff was incredibly friendly and the complimentary breakfast was delicious and fresh danishes. The heater was perfect and kept us warm all night. I would prefer two door locks, one lock seemed bare. Showering in the morning is a fight for hot water
The room was quite big and clean but a bit noisy because of the traffic and the air-conditioning system. The staff was very friendly and breakfast not bad. The noisiness
The front desk personnel helped me with some unexpected business that needed to be handled quickly. I was very thankful for her doing things above the call off duty. The room was nice and I recommend this motel!
The beds were ok. Gd TV. Nice shower. Nice cool rooms. Wi fi was Gd too. not much Maybe better beds. Rooms were big n clean. More breakfast.
Newly remodeled rooms. The beds were horrible! It was like sleeping on the ground.
It was a great price and the hotel was pretty clean and quiet. It is right in the middle of town so it is easy to get to everything. The water took a long time to get warm.
Proximity to downtown
Free breakfast, clean room, comfortable beds with new bedding. Updated and had both fridge and microwave along with iron, coffee maker, and hair dryer. Would stay again. Check-in was at 2pm but our room wasn't ready until 3pm so we had to wait in the parking lot.
The room was clean and the towels were folded into nice little fans. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space for my husband, me and 2 yr old daughter. I really liked that the rooms come with a mini fridge and a microwave. It was also pretty cool that they had an indoor swimming pool and hot tub which are both clean and they even had a motorized chair to assist a handicapped person into either. There was a pretty good continental breakfast too which included packaged oatmeal, coffee, juice, cereal, toast, frozen waffles, yogurt, fruit and even an automatic pancake maker which my daughter and I loved! The hotel was walking distance to a Dunkin Donuts, Jimmy Johns, Chipotle, Chick-fil-a and about a mile (witch was also a nice walk) to a park. We had a problem with our shower clogging up so we couldn't take showers the first night because by the time we realized it the maintenance man was already gone. The next day it got fixed around noon but one of the front desk workers let my husband take a shower in another empty room since he had to work.
Staff & location
Reasnable price, good standard compared with other motels Alarm clock broken and clearly much older than the motel.
