Great location. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Comfortable bed. Free wifi. Housekeeping wasn't the greatest. Didn't even pick up all of our used towels the first day. But, all the staff I interacted with were very nice and helpful.
This hotel has the makings of a great place to stay. We really enjoyed the backyard courtyard. It's a nice green space surrounded by all the city concrete. The staff were wonderful, helpful, and very nice. The breakfast was amazing and I probably didn't pay enough for that aspect of the stay. The lobby definetely needs work, but I would only be fair to mention it is currently under renovation. We also were stuck in the elevator for about 15 minutes after just arriving at the hotel.
Great hotel The Staff there was really helpful, great location to go to the Plaza, or Westport 10 minutes walking time they have a shuttle if you are not into walking, or even the metro bus is right outside take you straight to power and light, or plaza. The rooms were very clean as well relaxing, and everything you needed was there. place is very secure at nights. oh the room the breakfast was awesome Blueberry waffles, among all your other stuff for breakfast! I will defiantly stay there again recommend as well to ever need a room for the night in K.C. Props to the girl who works at nights help me unlock my rooms restroom door that locked by itself. The rooms restroom doors have locks, that can lock you out? but the staff got it unlock quickly.
This was a get away for us as our second baby is due in 2 months. Grandma stayed with our oldest and we enjoyed the whirlpool in the room.
The friendly staff :) The rain :)
Oh my goodness! From the moment we stepped out of the car and walked through the beautiful secluded garden patio, to the moment we stepped in the door and were greeted and invited to enjoy free margaritas - the staff did everything to ensure our stay was wonderful. Upgraded room for free- plus we returned from dinner to find a bottle of champagne chilling with a note from the staff wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Wonderful breakfast- close walking distance to the Art Museum and The Plaza. We will be coming back here again!
We stayed at the Spa Room and the Jacuzzi was wonderful. Paid way too much for the value of our experience. Both hotel clerks were ditzy, locking us out of our room and the lobby several times. I called 3 different times that night before arrival to verify availability and features and every time it was a different story even though it was the same clerk. They had extremely loud maintenance at 8am with hammers and drills right next to our room that went on till we left at 11. I read on reviews that the breakfast was disappointing and they were right... It was very basic and very low quality considering you paid for a $170 room. I thought the robes would be better quality as well, but it looks like they came from the dollar store. The highlight of this visit was that it was right near the Plaza and we enjoyed the Jacuzzi. Everything else was disappointing.
Location is convenient to the Plaza, Westport, and downtown. Room was nice. Staff was helpful. It was perfect for my needs. They are in the midst of updating, but I was not inconvenienced and did not notice any problems with noise.
I've been here on multiple occasions and been happy with each experience. Friendly staff close to the plaza.
It seems like an older hotel (compared the Marriott one block away). But it was clean and fair exchange for the price. Only a half mile from a ton of restaurants. Close to downtown, but not in the center of downtown. No dislikes.
Pretty nice rooms, nice property, very conveniently located near plaza shopping area, free Wifi, free breakfast - and not just some fruit and cereal. They had a gourmet breakfast every morning that included eggs, cereal, fruit, hash browns, a waffle station, etc. Staff was very friendly. Parking kind of sucked. We had to find a spot on the street the first night.
Ficamos no quarto twa! Foi espectacular! Eu adorei!
Was very clean and quiet The breakfast was not included and I had to pay for that separately and it was not worth the $12.00 a person for the breakfast buffet. I also had to pay for parking separately.
Good all around hotel
The staff was friendly and very helpful location was excellent Just need a exhaust fan in the bathroom the shower makes it very steamy
Location is great and the staff was super nice and accommodating. Only complaint is the rooms are a little dated. Rooms looked old.
My husband and I really enjoyed the 'mixer' they had in the evening! The food, drinks and service was great. We've never stayed at a place that had that! We would stay there again when we come back to KC! The hot tub was disappointed was the hot tub! I did not work and we were really looking forward to a relaxing time in there!

The friendly staff, the fantastic amenities and the awesome food and guest parties. We had an amazing trip and a lot of that was due to this great hotel. The location was a plus as well, being right on the Plaza. Elevator was just a touch slow sometimes.

Friendly staff and great location. Nice bar. No refrigerator in rooms. Have to pay for breakfast. Small bathrooms for King room.
Location is excellent (easy walk to the Country Club Plaza) and price is good for the market. Parking is easy and convenient. Breakfast buffet and fitness center are about average for this level of accommodation. Decor is a little dowdy and dated. No mini-frig. In my room on this stay, there was a continuing, intermittent noise of water flowing through some pipe. It would go on for 30 seconds or so, stop for a little bit, then go on again for another 30 seconds. Not real loud, but enough that I woke up one night around 4:30am, and it took a while to get back to sleep.
The location was great with secure parking and excellent staff. I wish I had taken down the young black ladies names as she was absolutely amazing. Best customer service I have experienced in years. Rooms and hallways were a bit dated.
The location is convenient if you want to explore the Plaza area. The rates were reasonable compared to other properties in the neighborhood. The hotel is otherwise lackluster in every way. - The hallways are dark and dingy, - The shower curtains are not water resistant. If you take a long shower the curtain will soak up water and leak onto the bathroom floor. - The toilet would not flush properly and overflowed into the carpeted area of the room. - Parking is limited and the spaces are tight. - The rooms do not have refrigerators. I cannot recommend this location and will stay elsewhere in the future.
Desk staff worked to give the best room opportunity for three people when the hotel was pretty full. Awesome ... awesome shuttle service. We had planned to walk to THE PLAZA in Kansas City, but having the shuttle to and from "made" the trip so much more pleasant. Very minor ... but it would have been nice to have some water cups in the bathroom.
Location Outdated decor, lack of a refrigerator or included breakfast
Friendly staff, nice restaurant for breakfast, clean, great beds, quiet rooms! Parking was congested. Underground parking was advertised, although the spaces were limited. We had to park on the street.
Great staff Everything else was subpar. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. But for the price is was a good place to stay for a night. Don't think that I could do more than that.
Staff was helpful in providing directions to local eateries. Condition of building and view from room, or rather lack thereof.
The location was close to the downtown area. The price was good for the location.
Good used refrigerator and microwave. Upon entering the hotel, I noticed the lobby door was wide open, along with all the lobby windows. The date was June 3. The high for the day was about 82 degrees, and it was quite warm in the reception/lobby area, but I thought nothing of it, until we started walking to our room, one the second floor (220). All the hallway windows were also open, and just as warm. This is in the middle of Kansas City, surrounded by asphalt, concrete and big, tall buildings. I still thought it was fine... Then we opened the door to our room. It was almost like entering a sauna without the steamy benefit. We immediately turned on the air conditioner, left it on 60 degrees to make sure it would be nice and cool when we came back 7 hours later from an outdoor concert that night. When we came back, the air conditioner was still going, but it definitely wasn't even slightly cold in the room. I'd guess about 76-78 degrees, since we keep our house at 72 and it was absolutely warmer than that, but not even a comfortable cool, and the AC would go off for a minute, then kick back on, never quit trying. Part of the problem with the air was the drapes hung slightly over the vent, so I took the small ironing board and placed it against the window to hold back the drapes, which helped just a little bit. The biggest problem, because this was the smoking room suite with hot tub, was the air was directly hitting the 4 foot tiled wall (why it's there, I haven't a clue) that was between the hot tub and the AC unit. That wall was definitely cold, but the rest of the room got hardly any of that air for the rest of the night. It was about 3 am when we were comfortable enough, wearing jut a muslin shirt which barely covered my hips, and my fiancée wearing just his briefs, were able to feel the need for just the sheet to cover us. The bed was of average comfort, although we're used to our memory foam mattress. One pillowcase had a corner that was completely burned off. Since it was so warm in the room, we couldn't even make ourselves use the hot tub we paid good money to have and searched high and low for a room with. And, they only serve the free breakfast from 7 am to 9 am, but a little after 8, my fiancée went down to get a plate and he said there was little juice left, no milk, and nothing but a few muffins out. So, if you feel like spending $120 a night for a hot tub you won't use in a hot room, sleep on a huge, but uncomfortable bed, then have to go elsewhere for breakfast... This is the place for you! But, I doubt anyone is willing.
conveniently located in Crowne Center. Near Power & Light. Otherwise, VERY little good to speak of here. Hotel is rundown and in desperate need of an upgrade. Hole in the wall behind doorknob, haphazardly spackled over. Iron+ironing board hanging off of wall, screws falling out of old drill holes. Bathroom was clean enough, but because of out of date fixtures and water damage to the walls/ceiling, it FELT dirty. Bedding had cigarette burns in very old sheets/comforter. Pillows were flat and beyond their time. Worst of all, I was on the ground floor, and the window, which faced a dark parking garage, would not lock. Anyone could crawl in at their leisure. I ended up changing clothes for the evening, then taking ALL my personal belongings back to my car, bringing them ALL back in with me when I returned for the night. During the night, I was kept awake until 4am because of what i presume was staff repeatedly slamming the door to a service closet next to my room. Seriously, it opened and slammed shut about once a minute until almost 5am. I had an 8-hour drive the next day, which I completed with less than 3 hours of sleep. Overall, the stay was one of the worst I've ever experienced, and I hate that I dropped close to $100 for it. Abysmal.
