They upgraded us for free since it was our anniversary which was so gracious and nice!
Convenient with helpful staff. Very nice rooms. Great having a starbucks in lobby. The restaurant in the hotel was a pseudo-high-end steak place, not good for travelling with kids.
The location was great, and cannot be beat. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious and comfortable! Parking should either be included or discounted for those staying. We reserved a King deluxe facing the city and got 2 full size deluxe room facing air conditioning units on top of the conference center. Overall clean hotel, but for a downtown hotel for the price, it wasn't satisfactory.
The beds! No rooftop access.
I've stayed in downtown Indy quite a bit, and the Westin is by far my favorite of the nice hotels I've stayed at. They consistently do things better than other hotels, and I am often caught off guard by all the little amenities they offer. I couldn't find the pool. There's no clear indication/direction. If you've stayed at this Westin, you know what I'm talking about.
the renovation finishes we not up to par, everything was sloppily done. our roon overlooked a nasty rooftop. we had to pay an additional $30 to park our own car on the premises after the room was over $150. Ridiculous and we expected a beautiful hotel. The whole lobby was under construction and it was embarrassing to have to bring my guest in to that.
The view from our room was of downtown and from the 13th floor pretty incredible. Everything we needed was within walking distance which for us was wonderful. For the cost of the room, tacking on a fee for wifi seemed much. Being in this hotel for business made conducting business difficult and the computers in the lobby were no help. I feel a bit like I paid for more than what I got out of staying in this hotel; beautiful, but pricey.
Shula's Steakhouse The evening before checkout, I decided to go through all of my accounts and count my money (as I do every evening before going to bed). When I checked the account linked to the debit card that was used to book my room, I noticed several hundred dollars worth of charges (one of which was exactly $300 even). Altogether, I was charged approximately $800 more than what the room costs for the weekend. Such a minuscule theft for the amount of business they've now lost-all of my employees are strictly forbidden to stay at any Westin hotel for as long as I live and my friends/family members will be strongly encouraged to stay elsewhere as well.
Love that The Westin is pet friendly, but no dog NRD or bowls this time. Tight fit on double beds.
We were given the keys to an occupied room, which turned out to be an NFL player, then left in the hallway for an hour while the hotel tried to figure out where to put us. They told us the hotel was empty from New Year's Eve the night before but seemed to have booked the only two customers to the same suite! No apologies whatsoever from the manager of the hotel after the hour and a half inconvenience of looking at three rooms before finally getting to what we paid for. We were given a credit to the hotel restaurant and when we tried to use it the bartender told us to pay the tab and the front desk would reimburse us the next day. Thought it was weird but had somewhere to be so I paid the tab. Needless to say, we didn't get a dime back of the "credit" we were supposed to receive, instead we spent $70 on a restaurant we weren't planning to go to. The customer service we experienced for a Westin was unbelievable and they did nothing to make up for all the issues. Will never stay here again.
Staff was friendly, fitness facility was very nice Hotel was dated and not as clean as I would have liked
the pool; the restaurant; the warmth and helpfulness of the staff the bathroom was nicely done but a bit cramped; the bed was too soft
The staff is extremely friendly and very eager to assist Asked for a king bed when made my reservation(a coupke weeks in advance) but told when i arrived only doubles were available
The bed and the towels and the other materials felt luxurious. The room was exceedingly small. The Omni name and the expense did not match the size of the room.
Very clean and setup well, Lots of extra pillows
Loved the location of hotel. Staff was very helpful- minus the restaurant hostess Rooms were very small, coffee maker disgusting along with staircases and ice machine.
Great location, friendly staff very small rooms and VERY small bathroom
The decor and everything has been updated very well, but some of the elements of the building remain in disrepair - which to the credit of the Omni, they are working on. It was clean, staff were all nice, and the location was very convenient. It's an old building and there were two issues that arose from that - 1, The elevators were in repair during my three night stay, necessitating either a long wait or a long walk to the opposite wing. Not a biggie, but an inconvenience. Also, 2. the hot water took so long to come on in the shower I wondered if I had even used the handle correctly. It was very slow...but the building is older than dirt, so whattaya gonna do?
Most full service hotels have a very nice look from a distance but up close, are a bit dirty or have out dated bathroom fixtures. It seems like there's always some small disappointment. This place was very nice when we walked in, and was still very nice as we looked closer and settled into our room. It was a great hotel!
Beautiful hotel with excellent customer service My room was located next to a hospitality room where young people were talking very loud on a Sunday early morning. We were awaken at 5 am due to noisy neighbors.
Very clean and great location. Staff was very accommodating The room service food was absolutely terrible and it took over 45 minutes to "cook" and bring up to our room. Over priced for bad, cheaply made food
well located, modern, clean, efficient staff. King size bed, while comfortable, needs to be "pillow top" as it is hard, even for a 270lbs man, to enjoy a restful night sleep. These should be standard in your concierge floor. Paying $31.00 for parking. The location does not permit parking on the street. This reservation was at rack rate.... Wi-Fi access, was "free" in the concierge lounge, but a $12.00 charge when in the room. Not too logical.
Very modern and classy makes you feel like a high roller without breaking the bank No complaints
I was staying at the JW for a conference and the accommodations were convenient and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout the facility. Great job.
Very clean, comfortable, and excellent location for access to convention center. Some of the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. They were all extremely helpful, available, and always smiling. Parking garage was easy in and out. View from room was beautiful. Long waits for elevators, especially at night. Ice only available on 2nd floor. No refrigerator or microwave in rooms. Wi-fi and parking rates very expensive.
The hotel was very nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable The hotel was very busy and a bit chaotic. The parking garage was full so we had to finding parking elsewhere.
the hotel decor and staff were great. I paid extra for the "City View" only to be put at the back of the hotel. Also, our room was right beside the elevator. The elevator made a high pitched squeak every time it moved. We were celebrating our 22nd anniversary at the noise was annoying and kept waking us up.
Urban feel, crisp, 2 excellent bars and outdoor terrace, hip, green, upscale, quiet but not dead, very accommodating staff, close but not in the noisy center of things. The art and furnishings are the best. I saw that a Yolk breakfast restaurant was opening on the corner. That's a great breakfast place. You can take your dog, they even have a place to walk him. Getting into or out of the parking garage seems to always be a a hassle. No pool, but sometimes that's a good thing = no noisy children. I just like to know I have the option. No rooms have tubs, but they have great showers.
The bar was amazing. Bartenders were extremely knowledgeable and it was a really fun atmosphere. I found two used bandaids on a pillow in our room. Ruined the hotel experience for me.
We truly enjoyed the initial vibe walking into the hotel and seeing the colorful lamps. The artwork throughout the hotel was a bonus. Cannot wait to visit Indy again. The only downside...did not have a chance to go to the bar...next time!
energy efficient pet friendly clean modern good location
Loved the art throughout the hotel, made it special to be there. Food and drinks were good, the room was very nice. We hope to visit again!
The art and design elements are excellent. Staff is friendly and accommodating to guests. The popcorn and hummus at Platt 99 (bar) was good. Nice Gin selection too. The first suite room I was given it had a strong mildew smell. The second room did too but just not as much so I didn't say anything. There was a water mark on the bathroom ceiling. (note: spoke with an Indy friend that was recently down there using a conference room during a heavy rain and water was coming near the windows. No doubt there's a water leak issue). The bed sheets had a tear in it and I ran out of toilet paper since the roll was low and they didn't leave a spare. The "mixology" bar is lacking the "-ology." The bartender hasn't studied much as she mixed my Tom Collins with Sprite. Just a notch above using sour mix. Went with just Gin and Tonic on the second round and got upcharged for Q Tonic. So, they hit it on the surface but miss on execution of product. The good news is it's easily correctable and I hope they do because this is a nice addition to Indianapolis.
Boutique feel in a business size hotel.
The hotel was located conviently and was nice and clean. We had requested a room opposite to the trains and our room was very close to the loud trains that rolled through all night. We won't risk a nights sleep by not getting our request filled next time.
Speedy check in
Everything. Location was amazing. The suite style room was nice. It wasn't lush as I'm accustomed to. Yet, I couldn't of asked for a friendlier staff and the housekeeping was worth more than money could buy. The hotel even had an officer in lobby during the late hours. Which was comforting. I only have one complaint. The parking garage was 2 blocks away. I felt guilty asking the valet to get the car when I had forgot a few things out of it. So I went without. Also, the $27 a night was a bit much plus tipping. But, the weather was freezing, so okay... Well worth it, I guess. Problem with Priceline... Don't book to early, watch for price changes. I could of saved over $100 if I would of waited or even Just booked through hotel. ( live and learn ) I frequent Indy often, this was my first visit to this hotel. But, I will return. Location is AMAZING. And...now I know true price. You'll not be sorry. The rating for this hotel is way to low.
Love the tall ceilings and the brick walls We woke up about 1pm to the sound of the music from the bar located next door. This went on until 3am when the bar eventually closed.
Alexandria,Va Noise on ally outside my room
Atmosphere, Charm (Exposed brick and Original Beams), Friendly and Helpful Staff, Clean
I liked that the hotel was SO clean, the service was excellent and the breakfast was great! Overall the best hotel I've stayed in, in a long time and will only stay here from now on! -McKenzie
Location was good for the conference we attended. Housekeeping does not do a very thorough job of cleaning. Lots of accumulated dust on toilet paper holder, etc. Parking is pricey.
The location was within walking distant to where we were going. A/C did not work well. 1st night no wash cloths, 2nd night no towels or wash cloths. Bed and pillows were very uncomfortable.
The location. Finding the entrance was a little difficult and I didn't know there was a $20 parking charge, The breakfast was average at best.
Great centralized location. Pool & hot tub excellent. Not being told before arriving that there was a parking fee each night. Breakfast was sub par compared to other stays with Comfort.
Location. Fast elevators. In need of furniture and carpet updates. definitely not a 3 star. Breakfast was sketchy.
Location The Hotel charged $20.00 per day for parking & I chose this location because it was suppose to be free parking. Found a live roach in the closet, and the pop machine took my money.
Location. Large room. Microwave and fridge. Nice linens.plenty of lights and electric plugs.coffee in lobby was ok. This hotel is currently changing ownership. Restaurant was under construction. Room cleanliness was below average.
Good parking next door at a reasonable price. Nice man at the front desk who came out and helped me get into the parking when I left my hand tag in my room. Good location close to downtown. Good bathroom and tub. Very noisy. A cleaning person was cleaning up an adjacent room and talked for hours and I could hear practically every word she said. The halls echo. Someone left the TV on in my room - I came back to TV static two days in a row. Weird!
The location was good for what we were looking for. There was a charge for parking that was not previously disclosed. During our entire stay the room was not cleaned once. We had to call multiple times to receive fresh towels and the staff was not very understanding at all, almost blaming us.
Location. Right next to Lucas Oil Stadium No airport shuttle
Location and price. The sheets were terrible. Stains on the carpet.
Breakfast was great, room was nice except for the carpeting. Furniture in great condition. People at desk were very helpful and pleasant. Did not receive bites but found what I believe to be dead pieces of bed bugs along seams in mattress - which just made me uncomfortable. There were not a lot, nor did I find any live bugs. But made me uneasy all nites.
This was a great hotel; wonderful service with a great downtown location. You're within walking distance of great restaurants, Circle City Mall, Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. The staff was extremely helpful. We will return again.
The staff was wonderful and went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable. I would especially like to thank Shelley Maher - she went completly out of her way to help us and make sure we had one of the larger rooms for our anniversary. She even sent me info. on the places nearby that were having a Thanksgiving meal - it is people like Shelley that will make us return and tell everyone to stay at Embassy Suites. We had been approved for an early check-in and were even an hour later than we had asked. However, when we arrived from our 2.5 hour road trip on Thanksgiving the room was still not ready for 2 hours after we had arrived. Being that it was Thanksgiving and everything was closed or booked, there really wasn't anyplace for us to go. It would have been nice if they would have been able to get the room ready a bit sooner.
convenient location and nice room one elevator was out of service, which led to delays getting to and from room
The Hotel staff are very courteous and helpful. We needed directions and the personnel at the front desk were very obliging, We came to Indy to ride our bikes on the Monon Trail so the location of the Hotel was good, the trail starts on 10th street. It was our second trip to your Hotele but not our last, let your employees know they do a excellent job.
Old hotel!!! The location was perfect in downtown, but the hotel was under construction, broken tile in the lobby, primer on the walls, small check in area, etc.l Worst part was their air system only does heat or AC based on the outside weather. Our room was 80 the entire weekend. Parking garage is terrible. Do not take large vehicle in garage. I would not recommend.
The heating system was bad. My heat never came on. I understand all the construction, but cleanliness can still be maintained. The elevators were filthy and being used by staff, construction crew and equipment movement. The entrance from the garage was so filthy it reminded me of being in New York. First impressions are everything. I'm sure once all the renovations are complete it be be amazing again.
The only part I liked was the staff and location. The room was cold...no heat. 2 lights were out in the room at check in...another was falling out of the ceiling. The view from our room was nice...but the window had face prints all over it n I told my daughter not to touch it. The shower had hair in it at check in. I had to ask for toilet tissue because it was not refilled during cleaning. Everytime we went to the pool we had to ask for more towels...and sometimes they weren't received before we were done swimming. I am a single mom and we were there for 4 days...the staff was very helpful...but the hotel was not at all what I expected.
I really liked the layout of the room and the easy access to all the shopping and entertainment.
Very good locatin.
Close to convention center, clean, good breakfast No vent fan in the bathroom, hallway smelled musty
Could hear the tvs from both rooms on each side. Could hear each and everything in the hallway. Rooms are extremely small. To high for what you recieve. Would not stay again.
Staff was fine, but someone was let into our room while we where still in there. Not great on that. Housekeeping woke us up at 830 to clean when check out was listed at noon.
I asked for my room to be cleaned, they never did it. Asked for more shampoo and conditioner, never received. Hotel night staff was not friendly. Also, valet was slow and confused.
Room was large. Liked that there were two sinks with a bathroom that contained a shower and sink and a separate bathroom with a toilet and a sink. This set up worked well with two travelers. Seating area in the room was also nice. The location is great if you need to access the JW Marriott. The card key system didn't work well. It usually took a few tries to get the elevator to work and sometimes took more than one try to get into the room.
Clean and fresh. Spacious. A great value for the dollar.
full kitchen, sitting area in suite, snacks in evening and breakfast in the morning small pillows-why have a king bed with pillows smaller than standard ones? Our room wasn't serviced on the Friday we were there. Ran out of bathroom tissue...used kleenex and had to use a hand towel to dry after showering as no clean towels available.
The location, inexpensive parking, friendly staff, clean pool & spa.
Roomy....usually stay at Omni, but having little kids the suite is much more practical. Breakfast wasn't that great, but it's free!
The rooms were a good size and the breakfast was good. The hotel front desk staff was rude and appeared bothered. The maid service was fine.
Very Clean , large suite. Paid parking in an area that was not 'prime Downtown' location.
Staff friendly and clean n/a
Location to downtown, everything we want to do was walkable
My total experience was quite good. Nothing negative to say.
Loved that they offered a $5 shuttle to another hotel downtown where the event I was attending was being held! That made staying there so convenient.
Cleanliness Paying for parking.
The staff were helpful and friendly. Our room vibrated and rumbled all night. We thought a semi was under our window. It turned out that the ice machine was against our wall and ran all night. We had no sleep.
Close proximity to Lucas Oil No
helpful staff; close to downtown
Excellent breakfast; spacious room; updated facility Sure, paying $14 for parking isn't great but it is downtown and you always pay for parking in a metropolitan area.
I like the location and the free breakfast. The staff at the help desk when I checked in and out was very friendly. I did not like that guest have to pay for parking
