Hotel Dan Inn Mar Recife

The staff was trying to be helpful, but their lack of English skills makes it very difficult to converse. One young lady at the desk was proficient in English and was particularly helpful and knowledgeable. The restaurant is quite good. Every meal I had there was tasty and the daily breakfast was hard to beat. The view of the ocean over the palm trees is quite nice.

No apparent ability to call taxis. The morning rush to the football match was a mess, they were completely unprepared. The rooms are old and dated, but comfortable enough. Without air conditioning, they would have been unbearable. The air conditioner window cut-out leaked due to the driving rains. Little bugs in the room on the desk, probably mites. Hopefully they are still in Recife and not in my home! This is a no frills place a bit further southeast than the nicer areas with perhaps more action in Recife.
