The layout of the room was so efficient! We loved the fact that one could shower and yet there was a seperate lavoritory. Ok, I don't want to be a punk here, but ..... there really was not anyting! Even the "Free" breakfast seemed first rate. Hampton has been getting pretty chinsy lately.
Room was comfortable and well-appointed. Breakfast was rather ordinary. No help with luggage. And the big surprise was that we were charged for parking. When we arrived, the front desk person asked 'Would you like a parking pass?' when what she should have asked is "Would you like to buy a parking pass?' For the price we paid for the room, we would have expected more spectacular breakfast, help with luggage, and free parking.
They were super accommodating for us traveling with our two dogs, an put us in a room with easy outdoor access. The breakfast left a bit to be desired

It's hard to get a real good feel for a hotel in one night but no complaints. We were showing some friends around downtown since we inherited some property on the other end of the mall. We had dinner and drinks so it was nice to close to the hotel. The beds were awesome, very comfortable and the staff was friendly. The elevator rubber wheels made a sliding sounds when coming to a stop on the 4th floor. It sounded like the rubber wheels were trying to catch up with the elevator stopping, a little weird sounding and bothersome. You might want to check on that.
The hole in the bathroom ceiling with filth collecting up there. The drug baggies under the bed along with a pill under the bed. This was a "pet friendly" room. We had our dog and cat along and thankfully we found the pill before one of them did. The drug deals going on, on either side of our room. I didn't even want to sit down on the bed it was so grimey in the room. We stayed for no more than 15 minutes before checking out and going to another hotel.
Comfortable, clean room. Adequate continental breakfast. Excellent, cold orange juice!! Quoted $45 on phone, no AARP rate available. Got cut off so made reservation thru Kayak for $42. On arrival, desk man told me the 'nice people' pay $5 more for a room in a better bldg. i was insulted, chose to stay in a room near the 'not nice' people and kept my $5. Very unprofessional! My nonsmoking room was fine, even tho he told me it would smell like smoke because all 'those people' smoke! Would not stay here again because of him. But the room was fine.
Location it was close to my event I was attending. The room was dirty. Their cleaning crew need to be replaced
The staff was ok, lady that checked us out though acted like we were interrupting her breakfast and very unfriendly. The beds were like sleeping on straight springs, the room smelled bad, there were patched walls throughout the room, it was in a bad part of town. They still had an old CRT TV not flat screen like in the pictures. Just over all a terrible rundown piece of crap. They had a pool but it looked like it hadn't been used since the place opened. It looked like something you would see in a movie where someone ran across an old hotel that had been closed fro 20 years. And the people that were staying there looked like they lived there more than just staying a day or two, the kind of people who are down and out if you know what I mean, saying it politely.
Location was nice because it was close to the business we needed to visit. Reserved a two queen sized beds room. They gave us one, and then moved us. This room was reserved for 3 people. We got 2 towels, 2 coffee cups, etc. Telephone didn't have a cord, and we were told it didn't work. Remote control for the TV did not work. The lamp by the TV had a burnt out bulb. The fire/smoke detector had been removed. The room smelled like smoke. The carpets were foul. Because this place is so cheap, there is a lot of riff-raff in the area. While outside packing the car with my bags, I was approached and asked if I wanted to buy drugs. Lots of trash in the parking lot. This is one scary place.
No one was around to greet me/ check me in when I arrived, another guest had to find someone for me. Online reservation didn't go through, had to pay twice as much for the night. Bathroom door doesn't latch/lock. Could hear someone with the TV blaring all night on one side and someone snoring on the other side. Got a few hours away by car and realized front desk man didn't give me my license back. I called six times over the next 24 hours with no answer before I called the Grand Junction police department, who of course got an answer on the first ring. Still haven't received my license in the mail...
