We stayed in one of the cottages and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The cottages, grounds and village were beautiful and a fantastic place for a quiet, romantic retreat for a few days. I highly recommend this accommodation. The bed was one of the best quality that I have slept on - something that is more important to me than most other aspects but this place is just fantastic in all respects

Beautifully decorated, lovely peaceful atomosphere, well maintained rooms and grounds, soft & comfortable bed with a choice of pillows. It was all good!
A magnificent, stately building, its setting and surrounding countryside. Spaciousness. Hotel interior decor and the room, the Crews Croft, overlooking the magnificent grounds. Attention to detail. The amount of effort on the gardens. Good food, and pleasant dining area, the restaurant and bar staff were particularly attentive. Peacefulness. We have eaten at the Manor on several occasions but this was our first overnight stay. We will definitely return. There was not a single thing we disliked.
Excellent room, spacious, comfortable and a fabulous bathroom. Loved the bears. Nothing
The superb service Nothing at all
hotel staff were all friendly and kind. They were really great. Wonderful hotel, beautiful green, good restaurant. Breakfast was also very nice. We had to change a room, but the they didn't put us to a right room immidiately. We had to wait for like an hour :( With a small child, it was difficult to stay in a maisonette room. Too steap stairs!
Easy access to the golf coarse with a quick and convenient shuttle to and from the club house
Very pretty setting, attractive rooms Nothing
A typical Old English country inn with a great atmosphere. The quality of the food was excellant and reasonably priced..
The staff in particular. They were very accomodating and helpful. Due to circumstances, we arrived early and an effort was made to provide food and get the room ready. This applied for the duration of our stay. All in all, it left us with a very good impression of the hotel.
It was a very charming and cosy hotel.
The pub downstairs is popular and serves excellent food with a good range of real ales. The hotel building is old and quirky so don't stay expecting luxury. The village is close to the M4 and well placed for visiting Bath and Bristol. No shaving socket in the bathroom.
Convenient for us to visit Westonbirt Friendly service and facilities fair, food good.
Hotel clean and staff very friendly. One of the bedrooms was quite cold, perhaps radiator timing control should be set for longer?
The pub seemed to be a focal point for village life with a lively bar, friendly regulars and a varied menu with good value specials on offer.
A fine country pub providing great food and superb accommodation.
Warm friendly atmosphere, good food, excellent room No
Great find and perfect for an overnight stay in this beautiful part of the world. Lovely room, great food, decent wine list and lively locals! Checking out was rather labourious and we were in a rush to get to a christening.
our room was above a wedding reception. We were not told about this when we booked or when we arrived. Because of this our stay was poor
The location, the building and the gardens were very good. Our room was extremely comfortable and the food in the restaurant was good. Although the food in the restaurant was good, the staff were somewhat less good. The waitresses would benefit from some training.
V. pleasant staff and superbly comfortable room. The hotel garden was beautiful and well-tended, and the breakfast was excellent. This was olde-worlde luxury. We would happily have stayed on an extra day! We had come to the hotel in order to visit friends in Stanton St. Q.: however, so far as we know, there is otherwise not much to do in the vicinity. The shower did not work well and the tiled bathroom floor became dangerously slippery when wet. Extra towels were needed.
Breakfast ,have stayed in many five star hotels breakfast here compares favourably, waitress excellent.
Nice surroundings, large size room, good food Background noise from the Motorway traffic. Dirty dinner plate and used glasses left outside a room in the first floor corridor for 24 hours
Visited several Cotswold villages, National trust venues and attended an open air concert N/A
The room was a nice size and very comfortable with a good TV and freeview channles. The food and wine were good and the service at dinner and breakfast were also good. I personally did not experience her but the lady meeting couples to discuss possible weddings was a bit loud and somewhat brash. From what I overheard (it was impossible not to overhear) she lacked style and subtelty. As a result I would not recommend this hotel as a possible wedding venue.
Relaxed and friendly with excellent food.
hotel staff willing to go out of way to accomodate our needs - opened restaurant hour early so we could eat before going to concert
