The hotel is on an island between Kitchener's Island (botanical garden ) and Aswan proper with a stunning view of the river, the river traffic but away from the poplution and the noise (or most of it). Spacious grounds and facilities. The seats everywhere were uncomfortable as if chosen from a catalogue and no one trying them out before buying. The WIFI service was expensive but, more important, totally unreliable: I paid several times without getting anything in return.
A great location to escape the hassle. The staff were extremely helpful, I booked a surprise meal with champagne and birthday cake for my partners 40th birthday which the guest Relastiosn Manager and Catering Manager made extremely easy, and they even sang Happy Birthday when the cake was brought out, excellent
very nice hotel with tremendous views of the nile river all was good
Staff was very helpful! Relaxing atmosphere hotel is not in good shape taking a ferry to get to the hotel not convenient if you're just staying for a night to go to Abu Simbel food was expensive and poor
Location is fabulous, hotel overall was top-notch. For the price of the room the hotel nickel-and-dimed every additional service, not the case with other Egyptian hotels we stayed at (60 le perhour to use a ping pong table! additional fees if you want to use the lights on the tennis court!). Beautiful pool was not enjoyable to use due to no heating. Taking the boat to the hotel guarantees requirement for 2-3 extra tips to various porters along the way.
This was a beautiful hotel on its own island that was only a few minute from the mainland. This was the best hotel during our stay and is suited for couples or families. It has a large tower restaurant / bar that provides great 360 degree views of the Nile and Aswan. Its priced are affordable and has it own mini shopping mall. It quiet, no hassles and we would stay again without hesitation. No problems.
Position in centre of Aswan with fantastice view of Nile. Bedroom always cleaned and tidied well but bathroom badly needed maintenance and thorough cleaning.
Good breakfast, nice pool
It was one of the better hotel is Aswan and the clenliness of the room was decent. The hotel staff were dishonest (e.g. saying that the transport they arranged to go to Luxor was safe and reliable). Most importantly, they advertise A/C and internet facilites - they A/C did not work (it operated but only blew out hot air) and you needed to pay for the internet (in the internet cafe).
Staff were very welcoming and kind. I seemed to be allergic to something in the room.
good location. the staff was friendly after check in, a little rude prior to checking. the room was dingy and very old. not worth the price however another couple liked theirs but there are different types of rooms.
Staff was nice, setup a tour for us. Price was good. Insects, had to kill 6 cockroaches during my 2 days. Bed was very uncomfortable. No Wifi in room, only in lobby, bar, and restaurant.
The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and the location conveniently located to the city.
It has a wonderful view of the Nile, sitting on the riverside terrace you can watch all the water traffic The swimming pool is clean and great when the weather is hot No problems
The location was great and the pool area was lovely! Our beds were not clean, and nor was the bath. I personally found the hotel to be overpriced.
Location was excellent given that most of the luxurious hotels were located in islands. Although cleaned up everyday, there always were flies and mosquitoes flying around. Reception staff was impolite if not brazen.
Way to budget for a 4 star.
It was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful Nothing
Staff were very friendly and helpful, much better than the 5 star plus hotel we stayed in Cairo. When our returned flight from Cairo was cancelled Asmaa and Marwan went out of the way to help us with their personal phone to call the airlines, just great small rooms but then it is a 3 star hotel
Abdel and his staff make the enjoyment of your stay their top priority. Everyone is kind, attentive and generous. The food was delicious, the beds were clean and comfortable and whatever you may want to do for the day is at your fingertips. Bet el Kerem has been the highlight of our time in Egypt so far.
Hotel was closed after booking with Orbitz and was in run down poor condition. They need to check their listings and make sure their hotels are still in business. Ana Kato did not answer my phone calls prior to arrival and Orbitz will not refund my money claiming I did not call ahead. How do you call a closed hotel? This hotel is unethical and will not refund my money claiming I did not call. The fact that Orbitz will not make things right makes it worse. DO NOT USE ORBITZ...THEY DO NOT CHECK THEIR PROPERTIES NOR TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH FAIRNESS OR RESPECT.
