Good workers The room was cold.
Well situated and easy to find. Very convenient for visiting Het Loo Palace.
Was ok, not very surprising, no too bad
The staff were very hospitable and friendly. Which helped made our stay very enjoyable. This was made even more so by the provision of hot drinks during the marathon (the reason we were staying). and especially by the member of staff who stood out in the cold giving the drinks out. Many thanks.
Breakfast was very good
Central in the city It's not a 4-star hotel, it's not clean and the breakfest is expensive!!
The hotel was warm I found the some staff were not very helpful at all. The room was not always clean and at times had not been cleaned at all, the bed covers just pulled up but not made underneath, the floor was not vacummed, towels were not in the room, was just generally not clean. To have to go and ask for towels at the reception was not good and then to be given them to take back to the room was not acceptable, they should have been taken to the room by your staff, after all I was the one on holiday not your staff. Our stay was not a pleasant one.
the lounge, it was a nice place for a drink with the fire place, cosy. the beds (2 single beds instead of double), when we asked for it it couldn't be changed.breakfast was poor, less choice
Greeted with a complimentary drink for each of us. Caution: They automatically add 13 Euro x people x days stayed to your bill above what you agree to on booking.com. However, once I made them aware on day one, that no meals would be consumed, they happily removed the charges. We stayed there to have a somewhat local (40 min trip away) to Walibi World Amusement park. About the park... I have a 13 year old and when we first drove up to it, combined with the low fee of 26 Euro for an adult ticket, we didn't expect much. We stayed from opening to close, and had a blast. If you like rides, I recommend that you visit Walibi World if you stay here. Overall great experience. Especially for the price.
room was big, clean and very pleasent. hotel is located 2 min from central apeldoorn and close to several attractions in the area. nice swimming pool. sports room is small, not many instruments
The breakfast buffé was astonishing, the atmosphere was very cosy, staff very friendly. Would definitely come back again. Open bathroom idea not extremely appealing to me.
Nice location in a suburb of Apeldoorn and we enjoyed a day trip through beautiful woods into De Hoge Veluwe national park and Kroeller-Mueller art museum with bicycles hired at the hotel. The restaurant was crowded and busy during the buffet dinner time, when many people form the town seemed to come to enjoy dinner. This proves how popular the place is, but it would be better for the hotel guests to avoid that time as the staff seemed to be very hectic and too busy to take enough care of them.
Great location and great food for an affordable price The restaurant was understaffed during diner time, getting a drink or the bill took longer than expected.
Very modern. Very clean. Quite original so it changes from the other hotels ! I had the opportunity to go over there because of a promotion. Let's wee when it will the full price... The restaurant is not really a restaurant but a luxury cafeteria. Good, but not a large choice.
Easy to get to and park Would like a mini bar in room
the room was just fabulous, real good value for money! none
location is good. Yes, service was poor, staff not well trained, food quality was barely adequate but service in restaurant was very poor
Breakfast was very good; and large room. far away from the city
Food, location, room, service was excellent ! The service was very good but not excellent.
The hotel is very modern and very well equipped. The family room we got was really amazing and large. Excellent value for money. No refrigerator in the room. A bit strange for this kind of hotel.
The reception eems to be efficiently run and the hotel is in an attractive wooded residential area just off the ring road on the edge of the city centre (15 to 20 minute walk). The normal bedroom size is somewhat cramped and our room was not well decorated or furnished in an attractive style. The bathroom window was in a defective condition and repairs of this type need more urgent attention.
Wellness Jacuzzi/Sauna/Steam Bath/Shower! Themed rooms. Hire of bicycle facility. Room next to lift shaft.
Everything was good There was nothing to dislike
Clean, very comfortable bed, good breakfast Very small room, no tea/coffee facilities
location expensive meal, Spa expensive
Pleasant staff, especally lady who was on duty in the restaurant on Friday 21st May evening at 9.00pm, Oriental/Asian lady was very helpful and friendly.Close to shopping and restaurants, nice quiet area, very peaceful. Pillows could be a little firmer and not so soft, and maybe the mirror in the bathroom could be a little lower for shorter people.
Everything. In fact we were booked in for just 1 night before intending moving on to Munster. Instead we cancelled Munster and stayed at the Hampshire an extra night. Not a thing.
The staff were very helpful and welcoming, holding the restaurant open for us to allow for our slightly late arrival. The rooms were well appointed and very clean, the double room was very spacious. What was included represented excellent value for money with a really good and more than adequate breakfast included. We also had a good evening meal at a very reasonable price. Only slight criticism - the wine list was very limited. Absolutely not!
Decent hotel, a little expensive. The room was very nice, and had a bathtub. Great service in the restaurant The internet connection was very expensive, and didn't even work for me. The muzak in the bar was really bad-old sappy 70s songs. A little difficult to get to town and back on the bus.
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. breakfast was nice. and the location of the hotel was perfect for us.
The availability of sauna, swimming pool and steam-bath. No air conditioning. Usually not a problem, unless it's summer.
Staff helpful, room clean and very comfortable with excellent bathroom. Good swimming pool and roof terrace Great breakfast/ easy free parking
very comfortable, relaxing and quite place
The hotel is conveniently located near a bus stop, which allowed us to take public transport to the Kroeller-Mueller museum. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and restaurant is also quite good. The swisscom business center was clunky and expensive with a printer that did not function. The hotel staff did their best to make up for the deficiencies. Given how ubiquitous the internet has become both for business and for personal use (e.g. Facebook), the hotel really needs to update its approach to this technology.
The hotel has very well appointed rooms and a very fine restaurant. The indoor pool on the top floor is a very nice place to relax. It is very handy for a visit to Palace Het Loo
a very pleasant clean comfortable hotel with a good restuarant and friendly effecient staff.
Very pleasant and peaceful location. (Bit out of centre but right next to Het Loo palace and good bus service or bikes to hire at hotel.) Excellent room, sunny balcony, lovely bar terrace, good size swimming pool. Excellent VFM at weekend break rate. Top notch breakfast. No but please note that the bus to/from the station to this hotel is number 10 (ten) not number 1 (one) as on info provided
Despite a latish arrival the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room service was quick and delicious. We both slept well so the bed must have been comfortable as well. The included breakfast the following morning was most comprehensive. All in all great value for money. Didn't really have time to find any faults as we were only there about 10 hours!
Location and amenities
We arrived very late and were still served dinner. Flexible service. Good food. Good shower, very clean bathroom. Good bed. It's a long walk from town centre. No cash machines in the wide area. Of course, this is just a downside of the hotel's great location.
I was just soft bed for sleeping for me.But nevermind.
small, cheap, breakfast ok room was very small and very basic (comes with the rate), wifi internet access not suited for Apple computers
I loved the staff. They were extremely helpful and accommodating.
Hotel Berg en Bos is a little gem of a hotel for someone looking for basic accommodation at a good price. We were greeted at reception with very friendly and helpful service/information - this immediately made a good impression. The standard room was quite small but perfectly clean and more than sufficient for one night. There was a little bit of noise through the wall at our heads when our neighbour settled in for the night, but it was in our impression a very quiet hotel overall and we were not disturbed by other noises/guests the whole night. The bathroom was on the older side, but again clean and perfectly functional. The breakfast was a pleasure - nice atmosphere and lots of choice/quality! Would definitely stay here again!
very good breakfast room was very small, but not a problem just for one night
It was a fine, but unspectacular room. Breakfast was ok. Free parking was great. A doable walk to restaurants. the owner gave a great recommendation for the nearby Chinese resaturant.
The staff are super respectful. They ask you after you arrive if everything meets your expectations.
Very nice little hotel, excellent staff, and nice breakfast. Rooms are small, but are advertised that way.
Helpful and courteous staff, great breakfast, free Wifi, warm and clean room.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for everything.
Very friendly welcome, good recommendations for restaurants and visits. Excellent breakfasts and spacious rooms.
Very friendly greeting on arrival. Helpfull staff re local ammenities and places to eat. Clean airy rooms and excellent breakfast. Would certainly stay again if in the area. Though not a problem for us we did feel the stais to the second floor rooms were a little steep and narrow. this did not diminish our enjoyment of this hotel.
This is a beautiful, well cared for, period hotel, with friendly staff. All the rooms are very comfortable and well decorated, and the location is tranquil. It is quite near to the Het Loo palace, in an area with beautiful houses and avenues. It's not a dislike, it's more mild than that--the hotel was much further from the station than I thought it was, so it would have been nice to know that the Berg and Bos bus stopped directly in front of it. If this information was included, I didn't see it.
Liked the location and the friendliness of the owners. They were extremely helpful
it's very really good Hotel when I stayed 10 days in Holland. Nice and Frandly service. no.
The family is very friendly and helpful. The chance for a drink at nighttime before retiring to bed.
The hotel was central to the city and just a short distance to Het Loo Palace. The breakfast was good.
I was very pleased to find a non smoking hotel. The service was friendly and helpful but never obtrusive and the buffet style breakfast was superb. The hotel was in a quiet street but within just a few minutes walk from the centre.
I really liked the hotel, because it was very close to the citycenter of Apeldoorn, also there was a busstop around the cornor for going to the trainstation. The hotel stuff was nice and helpfull, my room and bath were beauty (really good bed!) clean and fresh refurbished. Breakfast was good. none
We could easily walk from the train station. Room was small but clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.
The home made dinner was quite good, the table arrangement for dinner was very lovely and romantic (good for marriage anniversary, birthdays etc) room must be paid when checking in...
The rooms are very nicely appointed. The hotel is very well located relative to the Het Loo palace and to the auditorium. The proprietors are extremely nice people. I would be happy to stay at a place much less comfortable just to spend time with them. The floors squeek a lot, but that may be more of an annoyance for the residents than for the guests.
Perfect. The most beautiful and romantic place I have ever been - with extraordinary antique details. We could easily adjust the heating in the rooms. Perfect breakfast. Nice service. 100 m from restaurants and just 2 min driving from royal palace Het Loo. The terrace looked beautiful, so we must re-visit in the summer. The stairs to the first floor are confortable, really not a problem to get there. For the second floor the stairs are a little more "Dutch", but the room is extraordinary! My parents hate stairs, still they preferred to go to the second floor!
Great atmosphere & decor, every room uniquely different. Family run who made our stay very special! Really looked after us and would not hesitate to recommend. Very cool place that really lived up to exectations!!! No Complaints.
Charming house built in 1898, gracious owner who greeted us heartily, and best breakfast of our month in Sweden and Holland. Loved "Dinky" the cat and the period furnishings. Lovely to stay there. No. This has our whole-hearted recommendation
The owners are fantastic, original, lovely and the entourage is stylish Due to 1 person at service at breakfast, sometimes takes a little long
Personal service of a small hotel. The hotel's arrangement is a welcome alternative compared with the regular hotels.
A very dark and dingy building, in urgent need of modernisation and decoration.
Friendly, Food good, room had character, good location, Overhead light did not work and could not be fixed whilst we were there.
Breakfast was better thatn what I was expecting. I had to wwait 15 minutes for checking in because the femal receptionist who was there could not find my reservation record in their computer. The dormitory room was almost empty. So I think she should should have just given me a bed.
They have a bar and large common area. Expensive by general hostel standards - I could have stayed in a 4 star hotel for 10EUR more (but stayed in the hostel for social reasons). No kitchen available for guests. Location fairly remote, so no food options other than at the hostel, and I believe the fee was 12-13 EUR for dinner (!!!) - I had packed my own.
