Great lokalization and amazing views on the ocean and La Quebrada.
Views of the high cliff and the Pacific Ocean from each individual room balcony are unique and spectacular. One can enjoy the professional cliff divers perform their routine while having lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant(s). There is no need to purchase tickets in advance to see the divers perform if you are staying as guests at the Mirador Acapulco, since the Hotel is part of the Perla Restaurant. There are also nightly music performances for dancing at the Restaurant. The hotel staff are very accomodating and friendly. They provided excellent services. No problem with language communications as most administrative staff do speak English. The hotel is old and could benefit from some renovations. It can easily be modernized and beautified if in the hands of a great manager, because the hotel has great potential. Also, due to the high altitude at which the hotel is situated, one has to climb many steps to get to his/her room. However, it's the high elevation that adds beauty, romance, mystique, and serenity to the hotel surroundings and this, by itself, more than compensates for the lack of modern appliances or conveniences that you would expect of this self-rated 3+(?) star hotel. If you cannot climb many steps, then this hotel is not for you. Also, there is no internet access at the hotel (the current public internet console on the premise did not work).
The option of three pools was good and one of them had a beautiful view of the city of Acapulco. As well as the pools, there is a beautiful seaview with cliffs practically from your window. It's also brilliant how close the hotel is to the famous cliff divers, you can watch them from the hotel unless you want a closer view that most tourists do. #1. Cliff position means innumerable stairs and dangerous crossings across steeps tracks! #2. Not the best location in relation to going out/eating. #3. This one is the worst complaint, and probably what ruined our stay. We picked this hotel because on booking.com it said it had a shuttle bus to the airport, yet when we asked they said they had none. They didn't even admit they were wrong but blamed booking.com! We had to speak to the website who obviously said it was the hotel's fault. #5 Our room had no TV despite the advertisement it would, looked like it'd been pulled from the wall! #6. The Air Con didn't have a remote or any controls and on a high setting so we were freezing.
the view was excellent. the elevator was a new experience. the food was very good. i really like the relax ambient. the room was not ready when we check in at 5 pm.
to be nearby the Cliff-Jumpers and seeing them several times :-)
